A Griefer that I used to Pwn

Now and then I think of what they could have done.
The natives living in a world where they could fly.
Tell yourself that you're having fun,
But find yourself trying to tear them down,
Never mind that they wanted to survive.

You can be addicted to a certain kind of gameplay.
Like you're playing with your heart, always your heart.
So then you find a brand new direction,
Take control in a false election,
And you think that it's all just having fun.

But you didn't have to burn it down.
Could have just tagged it and let the natives all live on.
And I don't even know these players,
But you treat them like strangers and that feels so rough.
No you didn't have to stoop so low,
Destroy it all and then refound it as an empty trophy,
I guess that you don't care at all,
Now you're just a griefer that I used to pwn.

Now and then I think of all the ways I play this game,
Couping, tagging, raiding, and defending,
But I don't want to live those ways,
I just want to play my way,
After all this is just a game,
And you shouldn't get so caught up on a griefer that you used to pwn.
