Edge: A wildman and a demon walk into a bar..

[00:47] <Rapey_Lemons> It’s been three long years. You’ve trained by yourself and attained an incredible amount of power. Hell, you didn’t even know that this power was even achievable in this day and age. Rather, the kind of power you now have are powers that appear in fables and stories.
[00:47] <Rapey_Lemons> Nonetheless, you don’t let it get to your head. You know that your power is meant for good, and that you have to use it to help people and not for personal gain.
[00:48] <Rapey_Lemons> It's currently morning. Today seems like a good day to finally come out of the mountains and out of isolation, ready to put forth righteousness and good into the world.
[00:49] <Rapey_Lemons> You are currently up in the mountains near a large city. The mountain is currently covered in a forest, but things have begun drying up as the summer arrives.
[00:50] <Rapey_Lemons> (where do you go?)
[00:51] * ~Kai takes a final deep breath of mountain air, giving a small smile. Now, surely, he is strong enough, now, now he can take anything. Now, he can move on. leaving his final campsite, he leaves, he wears nothing but a clean pair of white Martial arts pants, washed in the river earlier. he wears no shirt, lost to a wolf attack several years ago.

[00:54] <~Kai> where else? the city
[00:56] <Rapey_Lemons> You begin heading down the mountain, the warm sun shining upon you from above as you find a hiking trail and follow it.
[00:57] <Rapey_Lemons> A sudden barking noise comes out of the bushes. A dog emerges from the shrubbery, stopping a few feet away from you and barking urgently.
[00:59] * ~Kai stops, he knows little of animals, but something has upset this one, this is far from normal behaviour. he squats down to the dogs height "Hey there doggy, is something wrong?"
[00:59] <Rapey_Lemons> The dog whines a little, running back into the bushes before running back to you, repeating this action several times.

[01:03] <Rapey_Lemons> The dog runs off at a fairly quick pace, but you manage to follow it through the forest. Eventually you reach the edge of a steep slope down the side of the mountain, where the dog stops and whimpers.

[01:06] <Rapey_Lemons> You hear the sounds of someone groaning in pain down the sharp drop. What seems to be a pile of clothing at first glance is a person curled up in pain, holding her injured in leg and unable to get up.
[01:09] * ~Kai frowns, and carefully heads to where the individual is "Hey, you ok?"

[01:14] <Rapey_Lemons> You carefully make your way down the slope, managing not to fall over as you slide over to the injured girl. The dog barks at you two from above, pacing in frustrated circles.
[01:15] <~Kai> Kai looks her over, to see how badly injured she is
[01:17] <Rapey_Lemons> The girl is wearing a simple t-shirt and jeans, her long brunette hair spilling down her back and spread out in the dirt. She turns towards you, her hazel brown-green eyes filled with pain as she stares at you.
[01:17] <~Kai> "What happened here?"
[01:19] <Rapey_Lemons> "H-hey, I think my ankle is a little messed up," she manages to say, grinning weakly at you. "I stupidly tripped and fell down this slope when I was chasing after my dog. How'd you find me?"
[01:19] <~Kai> "The dog found me as I was heading down the mountain, here' let me help you" Kai leans down and picks her up
[01:20] <Rapey_Lemons> She looks a little pale, her breaths coming with difficulty as she speaks.
[01:20] <~Kai> "hm, we should get you to a doctor. I am going to run, tell me if it hurts, and I'll slow down. ok?"
[01:22] <Rapey_Lemons> You pick her up easily, your training providing you the strength to carry her small body in your arms. She smiles gratefully, although it's more of a grimace, as you do so.
[01:23] <Rapey_Lemons> "That was stupid of me. Stupid, stupid, stupid," she berates herself. She takes a deep breath. "Why did I do this to myself..."
[01:23] * ~Kai heads carefully back up the slope, and to the path, once on even footing, he sprints down the mountain "Shh, save your breath"
[01:23] <~Kai> "breath steady, and keep calm"
[01:24] <Rapey_Lemons> As you begin running, she puts a hand weakly against your chest. "W-wait," she says, letting her hand fall limp. "I... I need you to do something for me."
[01:24] <~Kai> he slows slightly, but keeps up a steady pace "What is it?"
[01:25] <Rapey_Lemons> "Can... can you give me a kiss?" she asks, wrapping her arms around your neck. "Please?"
[01:26] <Rapey_Lemons> "I'll let you do whatever you want to me."
[01:26] <~Kai> he raises an eyebrow "I'm afraid I'll refrain"
[01:26] <~Kai> "I hardly know you, you hardly know me"
[01:26] <~Kai> "It would be best you save such things for one you truly care for"
[01:27] <Rapey_Lemons> She holds up a finger to your neck, her fingernail suddenly lengthening into an elegant, but sharp, claw. The tip presses into your flesh. "I really insist," she says, her tone pleading. "Please."
[01:29] <~Kai> Kai begins to slow at that, now incredibly confused, and equally wary. this is far from normal, but his training kicks in almost instantly "I do not know what is going on, but Threats will not work on me"
[01:33] <Rapey_Lemons> She lets out a weak sigh. "I'm not threatening you. I... I'm sort of new to this, and I haven't... fed, I guess, in days. Help me out here?"
[01:34] <Rapey_Lemons> The mere act of talking seems to exhaust her as she lets out another sigh and goes limp.
[01:35] <~Kai> he furrows his eyebrows "I'm not quite sure I understand what is happening here, but you need... sustenence of some kind?"
[01:36] <Rapey_Lemons> "Yeah," she says, clearly glad that you understand. "Just a kiss would pull me through for now. And then I could go feed on other people, if you don't want to take things further."
[01:37] <~Kai> "...I wll help, but I do have a single condition"
[01:38] <Rapey_Lemons> She raises an eyebrow. "Oh, great. What is it? I'm kind of on limited—" she coughs weakly "—time here."
[01:38] <~Kai> "I only wish for an explanation afterwards, for you to answer my questions"
[01:40] <Rapey_Lemons> "Deal," she agrees hurriedly. She pulls herself closer to your face, her warm breath lightly carressing your skin. "So how about it?" she grins.

[01:49] <Rapey_Lemons> This time, when you pull back again, you feel slightly drained, as though you just went on a light run. The girl sighs in relief and snuggles up against you, allowing herself to be carried down the mountain without further resistance.
[01:50] <~Kai> Kai finds the sensation strange, but says nothing on it untill they reach the bottom
[01:52] <~Kai> once he reaches the bottom, he sets the woman down
[01:53] <Rapey_Lemons> You reach the bottom after an hour or so of running, the woman's faithful beagle following behind you two.

[01:55] <Rapey_Lemons> She manages to stand on two feet, wobbling slightly as she catches her breath, as though she had ran down the mountain and not you.
[01:58] <Rapey_Lemons> "I'm a, uh, succubus." She looks at you hesitatingly. "By the way, would you like to forget any of this ever happened? I know it might be a little disturbing, sorry."
[01:58] <~Kai> he cocks his head "...as in the mythological creature?"
[01:59] <~Kai> "Excuse me if I have a difficult time wrapping this around my head, I've been in the mountains for three years."
[02:00] <Rapey_Lemons> "Wow, that's some dedication," she says, looking impressed. "And yeah, I guess, sort of like the mythological creature. In some ways."
[02:01] <~Kai> "...I see. you mentioned you were new to this, were you not always a... succubus?"
[02:02] <Rapey_Lemons> "Nope. I've been a succubus for a few weeks, now." She looks around furtively. "Look, don't tell anyone what I just said, alright?"

[02:03] <Rapey_Lemons> She shakes her head. "There's a reason why we're supposed to wipe any suspicious memories afterwards."
[02:04] <Rapey_Lemons> She looks toward the nearby city. "Well, um, if you don't have any more questions, I need to get some more energy into me before I start to starve again."
[02:04] <~Kai> "... I see. Perhaps I should come with you."
[02:05] <Rapey_Lemons> "You want to see me... feed on people?"
[02:06] <~Kai> "I want to make sure that you are not hurt, you still seem quite weak. I'll also admit I want to make sure you do not hurt anyone else. If you are what you say you are, you could easily kill a normal man"
[02:08] <Rapey_Lemons> She raises her arms out in front of her defensively as she slowly begins to back away. "All I do is take a bit of energy and leave them with confused, happy memories."
[02:09] <Rapey_Lemons> "Shit, this was a mistake," she mutters to herself.
[02:09] <~Kai> "You have admitted to being inexperienced, and you are weak." he says simply
[02:11] <Rapey_Lemons> The beagle looks between the two of you, confused. "I'm not going to hurt anyone... much, alright?" she says. "This is why I offered to wipe your memories."
[02:12] <~Kai> "You say that now, but what if you were to lose control in your thrist?"
[02:14] <Rapey_Lemons> She groans, realizing that you aren't giving up, and plops down onto the ground, sitting crosslegged. "Alright, fine, what do you want? I can't have you hanging around while I go do my... work. And you watching me while I do it is, no offense, a little creepy."
[02:15] <~Kai> "I never said I would watch. I simply wish to accompany you to make sure that neither you, nor anyone else comes to harm, until you have completly recovered"
[02:15] <~Kai> "In your current state, it would not be difficult for someone to harm you, and as well, the possibilty of you losing control exists as well"
[02:16] <Rapey_Lemons> "Fully recovered?" She waves her arms around. "Oh hey, would you look at that," she pants. "Totally recovered. I'm comletely fine now."

[02:17] <~Kai> "You are exausted. for whatever reason, you werent able to feed very much off of me"
[02:19] <Rapey_Lemons> "Ah, you noticed that?" She looks at you closely. "You aren't really a normal person, are you? Considering how you resisted my kiss and carried me down here. What /are/ you?"
[02:21] <~Kai> "Just a man, who has devoted himself to the strengthing of body and soul, so that I can better face the world, without backing down"
[02:24] <Rapey_Lemons> "Right. Sure, okay." She slowly gets up. "Can we go now? My car's parked pretty close to here."
[02:24] <Rapey_Lemons> She points toward a small lot a distance away, where multiple cars are parked at the base of the mountain. It seems that this place is a pretty popular hiking and camping destination.
[02:25] <~Kai> "of course, but I have yet to introduce myself, I am Kai, Kai Mandan" he gives a bow
[02:28] <Rapey_Lemons> "Nice to meet you. I'm Georgina."
[02:28] <Rapey_Lemons> She begins walking toward the parked cars.
[02:28] <~Kai> "LIkewise" he follows
[02:31] <Rapey_Lemons> She pulls out a set of keys and unlocks the car doors, then opens the passenger door and sets her beagle down inside before closing the door. She gets into the driver seat and starts up the car.
[02:32] * ~Kai attempts to get in the back seat
[02:33] <Rapey_Lemons> You do so succesfully. She pulls out of the parking area and begins driving down the mountain road, heading for the city.
[02:34] <Rapey_Lemons> "So you don't trust me enough to not collapse, but you're letting me drive?" she asks wryly.
[02:34] <~Kai> "I do not trust you to defend yourself against your prey"
[02:35] <~Kai> "Driving merely requires concentration, which you seem to have regained after what little you've fed"
[02:36] <Rapey_Lemons> She rolls her eyes, looking at you in the mirror. "Oh come on. I'm still a succubus, remember? Mythical creature of legends?"
[02:36] <~Kai> "And yet you could barely move when I found you"
[02:36] <~Kai> "YOu are also new to this, by your own admitance"
[02:37] <~Kai> "Without practice, one cannot use even the mightiest of weapons effectively"
[02:39] <Rapey_Lemons> "Urgh," she groans, clearly defeated. "Fine, that's true. But I was stupidly trying to remain abstinent, because..." she trails off for a few seconds before recovering herself. "...because I didn't think it was right to, uh, suck the energy out of people," she hastily amends.
[02:41] <~Kai> he gives a nod "A statement I can agree is noble. But no amount of nobility is worth killing yourself over."
[02:41] <~Kai> "As long as you do not kill those you feed from, and it is willingly given, than you have nothing to be ashamed of"
[02:42] <Rapey_Lemons> "Right," she says, tightly gripping the steering wheel.
[02:42] <Rapey_Lemons> (anything else you'd like to do before we get to the city?)

[02:47] <Rapey_Lemons> You two arrive at the city safely. The buildings of the city rise up before you as Georgina navigates the streets and heads toward the center of the city. She stops in front of a bar and gets out of the car. It's currently afternoon.
[02:47] <Rapey_Lemons> "Well, we're here. Lots of choices in these places," she notes.
[02:48] <~Kai> he nods "How much do you think you need?"
[02:50] <Rapey_Lemons> She stands still, concetrating for a moment. Her clothing seems to shift a little, the neckline of her shirt somehow becoming lower and her jeans suddenly accumulating revealing holes. She suddenly seems to grow slightly more attractive as she pulls a hand through her hair and untangles it.
[02:50] <Rapey_Lemons> "I just need one person and I'll be fine."
[02:50] <Rapey_Lemons> She begins walking toward the entrance.
[02:52] <~Kai> Kai watches her go, and waits a little, going in after her after a short amount of time has passed, so as not to appear to have arrived with her
[02:54] <Rapey_Lemons> You walk inside and catch a glimpse of her leading a man into the bathrooms. It appears that she has captured a target incredibly quickly, although it seems obvious that most people wouldn't be able to turn someone like her down. The bar is dimly lit, a television showing a sports channel as people talk at the bars and at the tables in the back.
[02:56] <~Kai> Kai takes a seat near the bathrooms, close enough that he could tell if there was a problem, but not enough to appear conspicous, or at least, no more so than he already is without a shirt
[02:58] <Rapey_Lemons> As you wait, you hear two people talking right next to you.
[02:58] <Rapey_Lemons> "Did you hear? There's something going on at the safari park," a man says.
[02:59] <Rapey_Lemons> "What do you mean?"
[02:59] <~Kai> Kai listens without appearing to pay attention
[03:00] <Rapey_Lemons> "The authorities have been keeping it real secret, but I heard that the whole place is under lockdown. The entire place is swarming with police and soldiers."
[03:00] <Rapey_Lemons> "But aren't there still people inside?"
[03:02] <Rapey_Lemons> "Yeah, but they're being trapped in there. No one is allowed to go in or out, and I think the media isn't being allowed to report anything. But there are some freaky videos on youtube right now. I don't know if they're real or fake, but the uploader claims they were taken in the safari park just today." The man shudders a little. "The videos show these freakin' monsters attacking the person holding
[03:02] <Rapey_Lemons> the camera."
[03:02] <Rapey_Lemons> "Holy shit," the other person whispers. "How the fuck aren't there any more videos? And why aren't people calling for help?"
[03:03] <Rapey_Lemons> "I think they shut down cell reception in there," the man whispers back. "That's the only reason I can think of, unless.... they're all dead."
[03:03] <Rapey_Lemons> "Dude, you have got to be shitting me," the other person says a little angrily, shaking his head.
[03:03] <Rapey_Lemons> "I swear I'm not..."
[03:03] <~Kai> it's at this point that Kai turns to face those speaking "Excuse me for interrupting"
[03:03] <~Kai> "But where exactly is this zoo?"
[03:04] <Rapey_Lemons> The two look at you. "Dude, just look it up on your ph—" The seem to realize you aren't wearing a shirt. "Woah, nice abs."
[03:04] <Rapey_Lemons> they*
[03:04] <Rapey_Lemons> One of them coughs. "But yeah, just look it up."
[03:05] <~Kai> "I can't"
[03:06] <Rapey_Lemons> Georgina comes out of the bathroom, looking refreshed and /healthy/, her complexion much less pale than before.
[03:06] <~Kai> Kai glances
[03:06] <Rapey_Lemons> The two men shrug at you, then turn to stare at Georgina.
[03:07] <Rapey_Lemons> She notices you sitting there and grins at you, cat-like. "See? That went perfectly."
[03:08] <Rapey_Lemons> A man stumbles out of the bathroom behind her, looking a little dazed, a grin on his face.
[03:08] <~Kai> "I see, Well I'm glad you seem fine now. I'm afraid I need to go now than."
[03:09] <Rapey_Lemons> She looks at you, shirtless and all. "Where do /you/ need to go? I can give you a ride if you want."
[03:10] <~Kai> "I need to go to..." he turns to the people who were talking. "Which zoo?"
[03:13] <Rapey_Lemons> "Uh, we were talking about the safari park," one of them says absentmindedly. "Hey, mind if I buy you a drink?" he asks Georgina.
[03:14] <~Kai> "Yes there"
[03:14] <~Kai> "That is where I need to go"
[03:16] <Rapey_Lemons> Georgina nods and grabs you arm, heading for the exit.
[03:16] <Rapey_Lemons> your*
[03:16] <~Kai> Kai heads out
[03:16] <Rapey_Lemons> "Alright then, let's go. Why the sudden interest in the safari park?"
[03:16] <Rapey_Lemons> She gets in the car.
[03:17] <~Kai> "It seems there may be something happening there, there seems to be a lockdown, and there have been disturbing reports"
[03:17] * ~Kai gets in the car
[03:17] <~Kai> "I want to find out what is going on"
[03:19] <Rapey_Lemons> "Sounds interesting. I was going to go back to my job, but what the hey, I can take a day off."
[03:19] <~Kai> "I am grateful"
[03:19] <Rapey_Lemons> She starts up the car and enters the location into her phone, setting it onto the dash to use as a GPS.
[03:21] <Rapey_Lemons> "If you're curious, I work at a bookstore in downtown LA."
[03:21] <Rapey_Lemons> She pulls out of the parking lot and begins driving.
[03:21] <~Kai> "Strange place for a succubus to work" he remarks
[03:21] <Rapey_Lemons> "We'll be there in about two hours, if there isn't any traffic."
[03:22] <Rapey_Lemons> "Hey, I need to make a living too. I still have to eat and sleep like a normal person."
[03:22] <Rapey_Lemons> "The succubus part is more like... a side job, of sorts."
[03:23] <~Kai> "I see. May I ask, how exactly did you become like this?"
[03:26] <Rapey_Lemons> She nervously wraps a strand of hair around her finger, her other hand gripping the steering wheel. "Um, promise to keep it a secret?"
[03:27] <~Kai> "On my honor, I will not breath a word"
[03:29] <Rapey_Lemons> "Okay, I can't really tell you some parts of the situation, because I might incur some, uh, wrath, and because of the non-disclosure agreement I signed, but basically I was nearly killed and becoming a succubus was the only thing that allowed me to continue living."
[03:29] <Rapey_Lemons> "Sorry if that's a little vague."
[03:31] <~Kai> he shakes his head "You made a promise, you are only keeping your word by not saying any more, it's ok"
[03:32] <Rapey_Lemons> "Right, a promise," she mutters under her breath. "So, what did you hear about the safari park that made you interested in it? Seems like an odd place to go if you haven't come down from the mountains in three years."
[03:34] <~Kai> "The place has been locked down by the police, and the people inside are trapped, nobody knows why and it's being kept quiet. apparently, those on the inside have not been able to get any communication out, except for a few videos."
[03:35] <~Kai> "Supposedly the few videos that exist, picture monsters, or someth"
[03:36] <~Kai> "Whether or not this is true, I want to find out what is going on"
[03:37] <Rapey_Lemons> "Monsters?" She frowns. "Do you know what they look like?"
[03:38] <~Kai> "I do not. ALl i know is what I heard, and how much truth there is to it is dubious. This is why I aim to look into it myself"
[03:39] <~Kai> "If there is something wrong going on, I aim to do what I can to rectify things"
[03:40] <Rapey_Lemons> "You're going to go in by yourself? How are you going to get through the police you said were guarding the place?"
[03:41] <~Kai> "I will find out when I get there, but if need be, I'll force my way in"
[03:44] <Rapey_Lemons> She's silent for a minutes before speaking. "Okay, you seem like a good guy. I don't really want you to die trying to fight armed police officers, so let me help you sneak in, alright?"
[03:45] <~Kai> "It could be dangerous, and I wouldn't want to put you into unnessecary danger. are you sure?"
[03:47] <Rapey_Lemons> "Yeah, I'm sure. I'd like to use these abilities for something other than just seducing people, anyways."
[03:48] <Rapey_Lemons> (would you like to do anything else?)
[03:48] <~Kai> ((no))
[03:52] <Rapey_Lemons> You drive along for another half hour. You encounter a bit of traffic, but you're about to make it out before a car in front of you suddenly explodes. Black fluid erupts from the windows and from underneath the car, sending the car skidding into the side of the highway in front of you.
[03:53] <Rapey_Lemons> The car slams into the barrier, a shower of sparks briefly erupting from the metal on metal it stops. Georgina slams on the brakes as the car ahead of her stops, the driver frightened by the explosion.
[03:53] * ~Kai s eyes Widen "Stop!"
[03:54] <Rapey_Lemons> "I am!" she shouts. "The fuck was that?"
[03:54] <Rapey_Lemons> Georgina's car comes to a halt at the side of the highway.
[03:55] <~Kai> "I don't Know, but get out of the car,a n stay out of sight" Kai quickly gets himself out, and begins to accumulate Ki
[03:55] <~Kai> he looks cautiously towards where the explosion came from, hoping to get a glimpse of what the cause was
[03:56] <Rapey_Lemons> The car is a steaming wreck, the black fluid still spewing out from the windows and underneath the car. Screaming begins coming from inside the car, despite the interior being completely filled with the black fluid.
[03:57] <Rapey_Lemons> Georgina ignores your advice and also steps out of the car. The two of you are 200 feet away from the exploded car and on the same side of the highway.
[03:57] <~Kai> Kai rushes forwards
[03:57] <Rapey_Lemons> "I can take care of myself," Georgina says, looking determined.
[03:58] <Rapey_Lemons> (How far do you move?)
[03:58] <~Kai> full speed
[04:01] <Rapey_Lemons> You moved 115 feet, and are now currently 85 feet away from the wreck. The black oil has smothered the engine completely, the steam from the engine stopping, and the screaming inside the car has only grown louder. Georgina, surprisingly, is right behind you, keeping pace.
[04:01] <Rapey_Lemons> Your turn.
[04:01] <~Kai> he continues all the way to the car,a nd works on attempting to rescue those trapped inside
[04:02] <Rapey_Lemons> You move right up to the car, the black fluid covering your bare feet as you approach it.
[04:02] <Rapey_Lemons> "Kai, how the hell are those people still screaming inside? It looks like the inside is filled with whatever the hell that is."
[04:03] <~Kai> "I don't know, but I'm about to find out"
[04:04] <Rapey_Lemons> The black fluid suddenly flies upward, attempting to wrap around your body.

His hands are over his ears, his mouth open as he screams.

[05:41] <Rapey_Lemons> She holsters the gun, then gently grabs the kid's head and looks into his eyes. "No one will hurt you anymore, alright? You're safe with me," she croons, pulling the child into a hug.

[05:42] <Rapey_Lemons> The black oozes stops issuing forth from him, his eyes clearing up and the slime sliding cleanly off his face and dripping onto the pavement as he begins sobbing, clutching Georgina.

[05:43] <Rapey_Lemons> "What should we do?" she asks you.

[05:47] <Rapey_Lemons> Georgina, still holding the boy, also stands up. "You think, you know, anyone's left?" she says doubtfully as she attempts to avoid reminding the boy of what had just happened.

[06:12] <Rapey_Lemons> She looks him over. "He seems fine to me, aside from that whole slime thing he spat out and controlled."
