- brings his hands together before him in a single seal, and his scorch cloak would blink to life. At first it set a blinding flash through the main entry hall, that cast shadows dancing over the ruined throne and table sat in the center of the great foyer. With practiced ease, he drew the chakra cloak into one hand, and held it up. [1]
- The light from his scorch cloak proved more than adequate to explore the dark interior by. He walked slowly, leading Somen past the walled dias of the throne and into the hall beyond. A torch, held up by a sconce sat extinquished and blacked from precious use. Igo approached it and pinched the ignitable materials at the top with his scorching hand and it sprung to life, fire licking at the stone wall behind it. [2]
- Yogan, Igo hold his glowing hand before him and then focuses, and after a moment, the chakra cloak recedes. He holds the torch over his head, squinting. It's light was quite a bit dimmer, but it wouldn't attract the attention of any unwanted sensor types. He turned to Somen, who'd ignited his own torch. [3]
- nods, pushing himself off the ground. "Take your time, mate. We've got everything we need here," he says, pointing off to another corner. He'd forgot to mention he'd dragged a box of ration packs in with 2 old, worn, but comfortable looking bedrolls in.[4]
- As Somen retreated into his ball of black sand, Igo breathed in slowly through his nose. When he exhaled, he brought his hands up before his chest. They formed a seal that anyone close to, or who had fought against Igo before, would be familiar with. It was the trademark Scorch seal. Then, Igo would thrust both hands forward toogether with his left palm facing out before him and his right palm over the back of his left hand.[5]
- A wave of extreme pink-orange chakra would surge forward out of the air in front of him, throwing off a heat so intense that the temperature in the chamber would have raised quited a bit in a matter of seconds. As the wave crashed against the stone of the arena's wall, it disappates. The wall, however, is torched black and smoking.[6]
- wasted no time as the blast from his last jutsu disappeared against the stone. He brought his hands together again before, making the same seal. This time, Igo held a single hand out before him. Then, there was an audible, buzziing /schwfft/ sound.[7]
- A bolt of translucent pink energy shot out from his hand with incredible speed. It collided with a portion of the wall before him, and seemed to disappear. Then, almost instantaneously, the rock began to glow a bright red. It threw heat waves out, and began to vibrate violently from the energy created by the intense heat.[8]
- He grinned, watching the brick until the glow subsided and the vibrations finally came to an end. Then he turned back around as Somen called out to him, and nodded up at the sand user's third eye. He walked over to sit in the spot he'd encircled in the sand. There, he'd take one final breath, then sit.[9]
- He closed his eyes and assumed his meditative pose, same as he'd explained before with his hands resting on his knees with the palms facing skywards. After a few moments of mental preperation, his breathing began to slow, and he began to focus on his mind, letting his consciousness drift inward and down.[10]
- sees that the two are finishing up a spar, so he walks over to the opposite end of the pitch. He takes a deep breath and turns his focus inward, then his hands come up before him to form a single seal. He takes a deep slow breath in, then exhales.[11]
- He bursts forward with sudden movement. He thrusts both hands forward with the left one out in front, palm facing the chain link fence and the right palm against the back of his right hand. A line of pink-orange energy burning with the intensity of a small sun burst from him. [12]
- As it came in contact with the chain link fence, the whole frame of the metal bent against the force of the jutsu. There was a loud hissing sound as iron began to glow dimly at first, then more brightly until finally, it whitened and became as ash. A gentle current of wind carried the scorched portion of fence away.[13]
- Yogan, Igo takes his cloak off, and pulls a gladiator's spatha out; dulled blade used for sport instead of killing. He walks over to the side, drops his cloak and straps his spatha to the back of his belt. He thinks for a second, and when he makes his decision... nothing unusual happens. He'd take a deep breath and bring his hands up before him in the shape of a single seal, and then... [14]
- "Alright, match start!" he says!
- He burst forward a step and then a torrent of gale-force winds rushed through him, and right at...and past Hanako! The winds would deposit him on the other side of the pitch, behind Hanako. Igo would skid a few feet, using the fence as a stopper. He'd turn and face Hanako, drawing the dulled blade and hold it one-handed in a reverse grip before him. [15]
- Yogan, Igo watches Hanako turn and bolt toward him. Thinking quick, he'd move sideways, staying just out of range of Hanako's movement. He was lucky for now, but he'd be caught eventually. He brought his hands up before his chest, forming a new seal this time.[16]
- He thrust a palm out at Hanako, and a bolt of translucent pink energy would shoot from his hand in the Hyuuga's direction. If Hanako couldn't move out of the way, upon being hit by the bolt they would experience the most intense wave of exhaustion they'd ever felt in their life roll over them, and a heat flash straight from hell. A /deep/ thirst would set in and they would feel themselves beginning to dehydrate.[17]
- 's eye's closed and he took a deep breath. He thought back on the hours he'd spent, meditating on his chakra control. He was a child when he'd first learned how to use his chakra. It was the day of his fifth birthday. [18]
- He remembered how his caretaker had been so proud. She was a slave, like him. Wife to the overseer of the gladiator pits. She had shown her husband that evening when he'd returned. The next day was Igo's first official gladiator's match. [19]
- Yogan, Igo turns to face the thick wall a few yards to his right, and brings his arms up before him. He takes a deep breath, closing his eyes and centering his focus on his chakra. His hands move with a blur and when they stop, a single seal is formed. There is a whoosh of air as a wind storm appears around Igo and is /abosorbed/ by him.[20]
- Then, for a second he lets his hands close, fingers interlocked before they open again and form the same seal as before. He steps forward, opening his eyes and thrusting a hand out at the wall in the shape of a finger gun. 5 audible /phwump/ sounds go off and a second later, there is 5 impacts against the wall.[21]
- He turns to Velia, offering a grin.
- "The Air Bullet Jutsu and the Hurricane's Focus technique," he says. "Hurricane's focus will make your wind or fire, or related elemental jutsus a bit stronger," he says, pointing to how deep the air bullets had punched into the wall. They wouldn't have created such a deep crater had he not used Hurricane's Focus before hand.[22]
- Yogan, Igo grins, quirking a brow at the lizard boy. "Oh, aye, that'll do it mate. Trust me, it gets bloody dry most days," he responds before turning back to Velia. He listens to her words.[23]
- He cringes at the mention of a good kick to the boys down low, but he laughs, shaking his head and waving her statement about being slow away. If she thought herself slow, she'd be in for a laugh when she saw the extent of his taijutsu prowess. He'd never once landed a punch or kick in the pits back at Sunagakure. He had to learn how to adapt to survive. It was why his ninjutsu was at the level it was.[24]
- "Alright, try not to laugh, both of you, but let me show you just how 'good' I am at taijutsu..." He takes a few steps back and brings his hands up to perform the clone jutsu and a mirror image of himself would appear right next to him. Then, he'd take a few steps back, drop into a basic pugilist stance, and launch himself forward at his clone with the strongest, quickest punch he could muster. The clone would take the blow on the chin and stumble backwards before falling onto it's but and poofing out of existance.[25]
- Yogan, Igo sees the opportunity, and points at the blade on the ground, nudging Somen with an elbow. "The sword! Take it under, now!" he whispers frantically, pointing at it and nudging Somen, but then he would stop as Terrio stepped forward and scooped the blade up. Then, he'd burst into action himself.[26]
- He took a huge chance, betting on the samurai's sense of honor, as that was all the man seemed to care for. He had not attacked Idai himself, so maybe there was a chance Idai wouldn't attack him. Especially if he prostrated himself His hands come together before him and there as a salvo of gale-force winds lift him off the ground and sends him speeding through the air. He touches down between the shogun's son and Goju, skidding a few feet before finally coming to a stop.[27]
- There, he'd drop to a knee in a low bow, and hold his tanto our, blade and pommel laying flat against each of his palms. It was an attempt to show pay respect. It also made it /very/ clear he was not a threat, and attacking him would have been /very/ dishonorable.[28]
- "I implore you, sir... we're not used to the laws and customs, here. Until 6 months ago we were all slaves in Sunagakure. Some /crazy/ shit happened that's got all of us a little on edge... I you would accept it, I will to pay out of pocket everything I have if you would look the other way and forgive the ignorance of these two... and for you to spare this woman's life... and if it's not enough, I am willing to offer my services to the Shogun personally in order to make up for the rest." he says. His voice is nervous. [29]
- watches Gedo intently, listening to his words. As the Senju boy's hands came together to form the snake seal, Igo's would follow suit, mirroring Gedo's hands before his chest. He'd take a moment and slow his breathing. Then he'd shift his focus inward.[30]
- The familiar image of his chakra pool came into his mind's eye. In the vision, he would be kneel down in the pool of glowing liquid. His hands fall so that his fingers broke the surface of the chakra pool. He watches as a glow travels up through his fingers, through his arms and into his core. [31]
- Igo's eyes open, and he takes a sharp, fast and deep breath. He draws the air into his great big T4 lungs and mixes his chakra with it, imagining it hardening it hardening into a literal rock in his chest. He focuses for a moment longer until he is satisfied. Then, he exhales as hard as he can. A ball of stone comes shooting from his mouth, flying incredibly fast a few yards before... /CRACK!/ it expanded into a larger, heavier boulder.[33]
- It landed with a cacophonous thud next to the river bank a ways away. 'Nice,' he thinks to himself.
- takes a moment to look around the area and survey their surroundings. Hs hands come up before him to form the tiger seal before his chest. There is a moment of stillness, as nothing happens. Then a blindingly-bright flash of light would fill the cavern the group was occupying. After a second, the light would dim substantially, and Igo would pull the cloak into his right hand, holding it aloft.[34]
- The soft pink glow cast dancing shadows upon the rock walls. Bundles of wire ran lengthwise through and down, further into the cave, lining the walls and the floors. "Hmm," Igo hummed in a hushed voice. "What're we looking for? A scale of some sort?" he hissed back in Wade's direction. [35]
- makes a note of the drawings Wade creates. He takes a second to bend down and look at them(dunno what they say lol), before he stands and follows Wade over to the panel. He holds his glowing hand over Wade's shoulder to give him light to work by, and it seems to do the trick. There is a loud beep, and a second later, Wade is working the autolock.[36]
- As the door slid open, the sickly-sweet metallic odor of blood and rot wafts past Wade into the cavern beyond. Igo scrunched his nose up in disgust, letting his cloak recede so that the pink glow fades. The room is cast in soft mechanical light, but it is enough to make out the carnage inside. His jaw clenches and a hard, emotionless masks sets his face.[37]
- He steps in after Wade, eyes drawn away from the bodies by four standing tanks lining the back wall. He squints his eyes in through the haze of the soft blue illumination. Was there... people in them? He turns to where the Jimmy Nuetron-esque boy kneels over the body of somebody-Valdis. He kneels and places a gentle hand on Wade's shoulder and tugs at it to get his attention.[38]
- He points at the test-tube tanks. "There's people in those..." he says quietly.[39]
- 's eyes had flung open in disbelief as Wade's entire arm was frozen solid, and then he was thrown through the air like a ragdoll. There was a sickening crunch, and a sound similar to shattering glass as he impacted the wall on the other side of the room. The realization that something else was in the room with them... something that they couldn't see, caused the hairs on the back of his neck to rise. [40]
- The pop that came from Valdis' body caused Igo to jump. He looked down just in time to see watch a seal go off and send thousands of pieces of tiny iron shrapnel lying through the air. He winced as a few pieces traced thin red lines over his skin, slicing him just enough to draw beads of blood, but then gasped. The iron had formed a sort of protective bubble-ring around the group.[41]
- Another sound caught his attention and drew his gaze beyond the ring of metal surrounding them. Footsteps, multiple sets, approached them at a run... but were stopped short. Cracking, bursting sounds, followed by hissing as jets of whatever it was that made up the beings escaped them through wounds caused by the iron. He swallowed hard and tried desperately to make out their shapes and forms, but he could not.[42]
- Until he remembered something. As Wade was tossed again, this time into the circle. Igo spun around and knelt next to where Wade layed, searching for the odd pair of goggles he'd just picked up before everything had gone to hell. If Wade still had them on him, or had dropped them before running to the door, Igo would likely find them.[43]
- He stands up and then frantically holds them up to his eyes, looking out beyond the protective barrier of Iron shavings.
- [What do I see, if anything?]
- //They moved so fast they looked as blurs to him. He desperately tried to track them, head and eyes lagging behind the entire time. He followed them up, to the ceiling, and then gulped. He braced himself as one of the blurs made way for him.[44]
- To say the impact was ice cold was an understatement. The freeze bit into the flesh of his abdomen and all he could to to stop himself from screaming was grit his teeth and will his chakra to run through him faster and hotter. Whatever gods had made him, he made a mental note to thank later for his higher-than-average temperature.[45]
- Teeth grinding, he brings his hands up before his chest and they form the Tiger seal, then he thrusts his hand out at the spectre attacking him. 3 waves of visible heat, each glowing pink, bolt from Igo's hand, flying in creature's direction. If they hit, the creature would be overcome by a sudden sense of /extreme/ fatigue, as they feel whatever corporeal parts of their body they'd had left begin to literally dry out and dehydrate.[46]
- [Speed: 44, Damage: 0, -300 Stamina x 3]
- blinked, teeth still grit as he warded off the pain, but his eyes flared wide as he watched the spectres. Since he'd hit them with his jutsu, they'd become substantially slower. Where once they moved as blurs, Igo had no trouble tracing them with his eyes. Still, they moved a bit too fast for his liking.[47]
- Thinking on his feet and recognizing the efforts of the other boys, Igo jumps into action. He moves as fast and as far as he could in the opposite direction to Wade and Tetsujin and raises his voice, screaming over the chatter from the clones and whatever ethereal howls the creatures might have been making.[48]
- "HERE!! OVER HERE, YOU UGLY PIECES OF SHIT!" He screams. He brings his hands up and together again, forming the tiger seal once more. This time, he holds both of his hands out, and points them, palms forward, in the direction of the spectres attacking the clones trying to get to Wade. This time, he looses the full potential of his Torrid Bolt into their midst.[49]
- [49 Speed, 0 Damage, -300 Stamina x 5]
- was already jumping into action, moving instinctively as Tetsujin had called out to him. His hands were together, forming the ram seal. A flurry of wind had begun to toss and throw the contents of the cavern around. And then, it focused on Igo, and for a brief moment, everything was /pulled/ in his direction, and Igo braced himself, waiting for whatever the Aburame had planned on doing.[50]
- It probably wouldn't come, though. The brief lapse his technique had created in the spectres' attacks had been enough time for Gedo to get Wade to the tanks. The two appeared above ground again, and Igo watched as Wade went to work, de-coupling tubes and wires from the tanks.[51]
- Igo held the technique for as long as he could, straining with all of his might to pull the last creature back... to keep it at bay until Wade was able to dispatch it... but the boy hesitated. Igo threw his head back and let out a bestial howl, feeling the drains on his chakra reserve and the sheer will of the creature pulling against him...[52]
- And finally, Wade turned away from it and pulled the last tube out. The creature collapsed; a puddle of eerie, blue-white condensate. At once, Igo collapsed, falling back against the wall. He watched Wade for a long moment, awkwardly curling into a ball and begin to sob, and then Igo looked past him, and seen the name, etched onto the tank.[53]
- 'Yui' it read. It was another long moment before a realization dawned on him. 'Was that... she... his mom?' he wandered somberly as a wave of pity and grief for the other boy washed over him.[54]
- //It was a long while before Igo moved at all. When he finally did, it was to unbury himself from the debris, rubble and ash that'd built up on top of him. He coughed, groaning as he pushed himself onto his feet.[55]
- The charred, singed remains of his pants and his cloak fell off of him, disintegrating into nothing at his feet. He brought his hands up before him to form the tiger seal again, and once more, his body blinked with a blinding flash of pink light. He drew the cloak into his hand, and then, gingerly and with a grimace, he held the burning scorch chakra against the almost-frozen part of his abdomen where the spectre had hit him a few minutes prior. [56]
- The deep, crippling bite of the cold began to disappate, slowly being replaced by the comforting sensation of his scorching heat. He stood like that for a long moment, heating the icy impact zone up, and staring down at the boy, who'd just lost everything he had been fighting to save.[57]
- When he spoke to them finally, moving to the bench, Igo felt the familiar pangs of jealousy and grief in Wade's voice. He wanted to reach out, to extend his hand in friendship.[58]
- "That goes both ways, mate," he says quietly, trying his best to force a smile, which he would offer feebly to Wade. He'd walk over and place a warm(actually, prolly rather hot, but not injuringly-so, cause its the same hand that was just scorch cloaked), reassuring hand over Wade's forearm, and crouch so that he was looking up at the boy's face.[59]
- "I can only imagine you probably want to be alone right now, but don't feel like you have to be.." he'd continue, voice sounding a little shaky. "You're always welcome in the leaf. I've got a spare bed, and it's always open if you need it."[60]
- let his hands fall to his side. His breathing slowed and his eyes closed. He turned his focus inward. There, in his mind's eye, laid out before him was a familiar site; a dark room with an ankle-high pool of glowing liquid where wisps of blue and red energies swirl together.[61]
- Igo imagined he could see himself in third person. The imaginary Igo walks to the center of the room. There, he watched the figure sat, cross-legged, and placed his hands on each knee, palms up. The figure closed its eyes, and then began to breathe very slowly and deliberately.[62]
- It took a long while before anything happened. But after a few moments, he noticed movement coming from the pool of liquid. The wisps of blue and red began to move faster, dancing more erratically. The swirls where they came together spun faster and faster.[63]
- Soon, the pool was alive. Waves of angry red energy crashed against each other with cacophonous cracking sounds, causing ripples to tear at the surface of the liquid. Sinister slurping, gurgling noises popped and gurgled from vicious blue whirlpools. The noises echoed all throughout the dark room.[64]
- And yet, as the chakra storm raged on, fueled by Igo's will, there was an undeniable calm. At the center of the pool, the form of Igo's subconscious sat meditating in a small circle of calm that remained unbroken by the churning liquid outside. Not even so much as a ripple reached into the center where imaginary Igo sat. The real Igo watched as the storm raged and raged... and then it went still.[65]
- Deafening silence filled the room. Where once raw power and energy churned chakra storms, there was calm. Igo watches as his subconscious form took one last deep breath before opening his eyes. Igo's real eyes opened with them.[66]
- A small smile touched his lips. He felt his breathing slow until it was steady and deliberate. He brought his hands up before him. They came together and formed the ram seal. [67]
- Igo took one last slow breath. Then, he willed his chakra into motion within him. His focus turned inward again, though not too deeply. He pulled his chakra into his core and began to agitate it, pulling and tearing at it until it churned and roiled angrily. He could feel a heat so intense it dwarfed the warmth of the suns rays, rising up within.[68]
- Then, his hands moved again. This time, they formed the tiger seal. Igo took one quick inhale and then chopped at the air in front of him with his right hand, exhaling at the same time. A wave of blindingly bright, superheated chakra shot from him, burning with the intensity of a supernova or a small sun. It baked the earth underneath as it traveled down the path until it disappeared in the distance. [69]
- Igo sighed, satisfied with himself, and walked back over to the front of the gate. He took a deep breath, and then plopped down onto the hard top. He rested his elbows on his knees. Then, he went back to watching... and waiting. [70]
- Despite having just sat back down, he pushed himself back up to his feet and sighed. He walked back the down the path and stopped just before the tree. There, he took up a meditative stance. Then, he closed his eyes once more, and quietened bis mind.[71]
- He opened his imagination, and could suddenly see himself, silhoetted. Inside of his form, there were bright blue lines that traveled throughout his limbs. It was the basic interpretation of the chakra network in almost every publication he'd seen. Like veins that pumped spiritual energy instead of blood.[72]
- He willed his chakra into action once more. He imagined that the blue lines of his chakra network began to glow brighter. The chakra traveled through them faster. Then, he drew it into his core, again.[73]
- When he opened his eyes, he took one short breath in. His hands came up before him and formed the ram seal. He imagined he could feel his chakra swelling up as he did so. Then, he thrust his arm forward, pointing his hand at the tree in the shape of a finger gun. [74]
- There were 5 audible /phwump/ sounds. Five solid, compact balls of air rocketed from the tip of his finger. They slammed into the trunk of the tree with 5 loud cracks. Bark and wood splintered, sending wooden shrapnel spraying out from the hole he'd just created in the wood.[75]
- Igo smiled and nodded to himself. 'That about does it,' he thinks in a satisfactory way.
