  1. [22:41] Ariel was a little stunned to be called a liar, as freeing the Deep One would provide her with something. She stepped forward, looking towards the bowl that was presented before them.
  2.
  3. "To release such a power into the World would unleash consistent patterns of Chaos. These ripples pulse through the world and allow for the brightest sparks of Order to rise through." Heroes were born in a world more inflicted by darkness.
  4.
  5. "For the Deep One to be trapped is for him to be held by the restraints of Order. The world designed for him to be free, and so he shall be."
  6.
  7. Ariel would take the dagger and sliced her palm. Wincing in pain as blood dripped into the bowl before her.
  8.
  9. "Freedom is simply the right thing to provide."
  10. (Ariel Cirque)
  11. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  12.
  13. [22:41] Eztli joined his friends for the thrill of adventure that lay beneath the ocean depths. Always knowing that the end goal was to take riches, but not him - he'd be content with receiving nothing. He just wanted to experience Atlantis, to have a story to tell those on the surface what he experienced.
  14.
  15. But it wasn't that simple, no.
  16.
  17. "Yes, be honest with yourselves..." He tuts, shaking his head.
  18.
  19. At the creatures words, he steps forth. Pressing on and allowing the three to do as they wished with the presented blade.
  20. (Eztli Meztin)
  21. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  22.
  23. [22:42] Blight's expression went dull for a moment, staring at the shadow with absolutely no expression. It took its words into serious consideration, before a grin slightly cracked at Blight's lips, their black button eyes now fixated on the shadow.
  24.
  25. "Y'thought I never wanted anything from it?" Blight whispered just loud enough to be heard, offering a cackling, guttural laughter.
  26.
  27. "No, I don' wan' somethin'. I wan' everythin'." It were all the siren muttered, before turning to the dagger and bowl that were summoned between the three of them. A grin spread even wider across the siren's visage, staring at the bowl.
  28.
  29. "...Tha's all? Blood?" A hand extends itself to the dagger after Ariel, and it is taken into the younger Reave's hand.
  30.
  31. "Easy."
  32.
  33. The length of his palm were slashed open; the emerald ichor of the siren intermixing with the crimson ichor of Ariel in the bowl. The dagger is then handed to Mori, with a nod; black eyes staring into their older brothers, with a whisper.
  34.
  35. (Blight Reave)
  36. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  37.
  38. [22:45] "Da' only lie you think you see, is da' one thinkin' that I'm doin' this ta' gain a favor. I simply want da' bliss of chaos. I was not named after da' Mori fer' ma' notion ta' gain anythin'. Our father? Was devoted ta' da' deep. Blight and I, are da' same. I'm not sure ma' brothers da' same. I believe he is but ma' point stands. Ya' want a blood price?"
  39.
  40.
  41. Once more a crooked grin upon their Orca face as they took a step forward. Gleam in their sword as they smiled once again. A gesture granted towards the bowl. All before snatching up that shadowy blade. Twirling it upon their hands ever so slightly. All before it was passed off to one who did cut.
  42.
  43. "If neither of ya' got any moral objects ta' ma' new idea? Let it be known. I'm showin' ma' devotion. Devotion ta' da' dark of it all. But this be ma' trial. Ain't no one ruining' ma grand show."
  44.
  45. But of course...with three, nay four beings that seemed to be more on the darker side...but of course it was only then did he remember that Ariel was one of the ones Lelland had mentioned wanting to joined the crew.
  46.
  47. "Tch...ya' all have da' deep in ya' mind...let da' blood flow."
  48.
  49. And soon? His own blood was added towards that bowl. That green vicious liquid pooling forth.
  50.
  51. To the depths they all go.
  52. (Mori Reave)
  53. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  54.
  55. [22:53] {NARRATION} Blood drips. That of three people, enough to sate the spirit for now, a loud and throaty cackle echoing through these halls, a hissed "yes" sneaking up on the trio.
  56.
  57. They had lied.
  58.
  59. This was, in fact, a trial.
  60.
  61. "Congratulations."
  62.
  63. "I half expected you to attack the guardian."
  64.
  65. And like that, it disappeared in its essence-
  66.
  67. Turning into water, and revealing a long hallway behind it, illuminated by the same runes and leading towards a room that Eztli and Charlie would get to first...
  68.
  69. ... Its walls? Covered in gold.
  70.
  71. But on the ground?
  72.
  73. Just a single plate sitting in the middle of a pile.
  74.
  75. Someone had ransacked this place before.
  76. [22:59] The trial was beaten through the trial of the Deep One A test of will and intent in such a place. It was a place where Ariel no longer had any intentions of hiding her ambitions. A keeper of balance who took forward a chaotic approach.
  77.
  78. It amused her, it pulled at her interests in amusement. Always challenging her to become a fuller version of herself.
  79.
  80. As the bowl filled, Ariel withdrew her hand. A flame formed to flicker around the wound and scorched it close to subside the bleeding.
  81.
  82. She took a step away from the Bowl and followed into the next room. Still just observing and offering her assistants.
  83.
  84. "Looks like someone's been here before. Unfortunate."
  85. (Ariel Cirque)
  86. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  87.
  88. [22:59] With a shake of his head, Eztli presses on, leaving the three behind him to lick their wounds. The injuries, the most recent ones anyway, were self-inflicted and committed with clear malicious intent.
  89.
  90. It wasn't something he would condone.
  91.
  92. Instead, he simply looks around the gold-plated room with piqued interest. Amber pearls falling on the plate and pile of gold. Though what was most interesting was the plate.
  93.
  94. "Oh-... fascinating,"
  95. (Eztli Meztin)
  96. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  97.
  98. [22:59] Ariel eyes the gold.
  99. (Ariel Cirque)
  100. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  101.
  102. [22:59] There was a slight pause. As Mori swerved around briefly. Looking for the said voice that spoke before simply shrugging. Gruffly humming to themselves before they soon rounded about the others. Eventually coming towards the room the others had gotten to in truth before?
  103.
  104.
  105. Staring. Someone else had ransacked everything from it besides a simple plate sitting amidst a pile of goal. All before they stared at it even further. Was...this truly it in this hall?
  106.
  107.
  108. "Bah...at least there's gold here ta' make up fer da' disappointment. At least...Da' gold can be gnawed on so I think that's da' biggest win here." A shrug In truth before snickering ever so quietly towards themselves in truth.
  109.
  110. Maybe...just maybe they'd find something much more interesting within it here.
  111. (Mori Reave)
  112. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  113.
  114. [23:00] Blight followed a few paces behind the rest of the group. Verdant ichor trailed their path in droplets from their wound festered body, staring onwards to the rune-lit room. It's walls were that of gold, though, it were an oddly empty vault. Blight made no comment; he weren't here for such materialistic things anyways.
  115.
  116. Besides; even if Blight had shown a shred of interest, Eztli and Charlie had reached the room far before he had in his limited state.
  117.
  118. "There's got ta be more to it than this." Blight mutters, following behind their brother. When they reached the room, curious eyes began looking around the room for objects of note, if there were any.
  119. (Blight Reave)
  120. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  121.
  122. [23:00] Charlie was already sauntering onwards. There wasn't a reason for the Razuka to continue his taunting - No, no, if this was what he believed it was..? Then there were riches beyond this little chamber.
  123.
  124. Even, measured steps lead the greedy tinkerer down the hall. A glance is paid towards Eztli, however, as he chimed, "So! Figure ya ain't wanna be 'ere for Mori's 'ole thing, mhn..? C'mon now, 'ow would ya feel if ya spirits were locked up?
  125.
  126. S'fucked." The anarchist's throat held a throaty chuckle as he finally reached those promised lands. Finally, riches, finally--
  127.
  128. The walls were gold.
  129.
  130. … There was only a measly pile and plate.
  131.
  132. Crunching up his button nose he'd glance towards the gathered. The bone is held aloft for a moment or two before he speaks. "'ny words 'fore I snatch it? Figurin' there's only a 'andful 'ere that can use this fuckin' thing... 'sumin' it reacts ta 'ny of our magic."
  133. (Charlie)
  134. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  135.
  136. [23:01] Charlie says, "... Yoink."
  137. [23:17] {NARRATION} Taking the gold and the plate, the ground rumbles- From within the cracks in the wall and the ground, liquid gold slips inside the room. Slowly, it coalesces into a shape right in the midle of it, erupting with a joyous smile!
  138.
  139. "GREETINGS, DEAR TRA-- OH DEAR."
  140.
  141. Its voice is sharp, loud and absolutely annoying at times. Overjoyous, most importantly of all. "YOU ARE NOT SERVANTS OF YAMA. NO, NO- YOU ARE SERVANTS OF THE DEEP ONE!"
  142.
  143. "DEEP ONE, BEGONE!" It repeats in a near-childish motion, gesturing for them to go out. Yet?
  144.
  145. With every motion, the ground shakes. It's obvious that whatever it is doing, is quite literally shaking this decrepit building to its core. "DEEP ONE, BEGONE!"
  146.
  147. And still? Even with those simple motions, it is quite clearly casting something- The magic around the air channels itself once again, and by now...
  148.
  149. Any opportunity of going back was starting to grow dim.
  150.
  151. The ground rippled.
  152.
  153. And eventually, it shattered- The elemental of gold falling with the group, splattered upon the ground and seemingly lifeless, while they stood in a room that was filled with just as many riches...
  154.
  155. And something more.
  156.
  157. A few gems glimmered in the middle.
  158.
  159. And perhaps just as importantly, a writing in the wall:
  160.
  161. "Treasures of eld are stored in this room - But a thief’s bane is their own greed."
  162.
  163. [23:17] {Item} You picked up Topaz Of Sunlight..
  164. [23:17] {Item} You drop Topaz Of Sunlight.
  165. [23:17] Charlie heavy breathing. moisture forms on window. eyes go bloodshot and bulge out from head. face turns beet red. sweat pours down my face, surrounding me in a pool of my own. "UNNNGA" and "AWOOGA" sounds erupt from my throat. the neighbors look onward in fear and confusion. I pant like a dog and jump up and down repeatedly, kicking my legs backwards and clapping my heels. my heart pounds out from my very chest, rupturing through my ribcage as it pounds in and out from my body
  166. (Charlie)
  167. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  168.
  169. [23:23] The room before them shifted as the liquid gold grew into its forms. Followers of Yama they were not, and their stepping here could be seen as trespassing, but Ariel was nothing but in pursuit of what she deemed right.
  170.
  171. Being here, it seemed to tick that slot.
  172.
  173. "We will not go anywhere-" Before she could finish, the ground began to quake beneath them. The exit that served as their only escape being cut off -
  174.
  175. Yet to fall down the chasm as the floor caved in below them. As Ariel's eyes adjust to the darkness she eyes that which lays before her.
  176.
  177. "I like the luck of the Diamond. Does anyone mind?"
  178. (Ariel Cirque)
  179. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  180.
  181. [23:24] Blight stood in rank with Mori; instantly ready to defend themselves at the approach of the liquid apparition of gold. Something weren't right with the situation, Blight could feel it.
  182.
  183. Then, it began to chant, and Blight did their best to brace for the fall. As the floor crumbles beneath them and the being of gold seemed to splatter into many parts, Blight found themselves rising to their feet, prepared to enter combat if anything were to incur violence once again.
  184.
  185. Blight found their gaze drawn towards the Topaz, practically ignoring the words on the wall. They didn't come this far to adhere to meager warnings, as ignorant may it have been. They demonstrated no fear.
  186.
  187. Two bulky hands extend out to lift the gleaming yellow gemstone, unless otherwise halted.
  188.
  189. "...Take caution o' tha' elemental. I'on trust it."
  190.
  191. "N' 'm takin' this."
  192. (Blight Reave)
  193. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  194.
  195. [23:25] Eztli wasn't sure what was going on with the liquid gold creature, for he knew not the name Yama or her ilk, but at her insistence of him being allied with such a foul creature.
  196.
  197. "No, you're wrong. I've nothing to do with something so tainted..." Of course, he couldn't speak for the others in the group. 'Cause-... they clearly were.
  198.
  199. His eyes drift towards the Topaz, eager to take hold of it, but he relented. It was all Blight's.
  200. (Eztli Meztin)
  201. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  202.
  203. [23:25] There's a lengthy pause as the ground rumbles. Pardon? The walls were melting? Were it not for the gilded shades one might just find an all too pleased glint in his eyes. Teeth are flashed in a grin as the shape slowly comes to life--
  204.
  205. Only to be shooed away?
  206.
  207. "'ey- 'EY 'OLD ON NOW!" The Razuka shouted, Outfall already gripped nice and tight in his hand. "IF I MELT YA DOWN, 'OW MUCH DO YA FIGURE YA WOULD GO FOR? TEN? TWENTY THOU--"
  208.
  209. He can't get it out quick enough, no. The ground splits and they fall. Charlie's damn near swimming through the air trying to take hold of the golden elemental. No, there were far too many riches to pass up from this singular moment.
  210.
  211. King Basil needed tribute.
  212.
  213. Crashing down upon the ground the tinkerer growls and hisses, sienna beads wide behind those gilded shades as they stare down the elemental. "NAH. NAH, FUCK THAT, DO YA NOT GET IT?" The tinkerer croaked, slowly clambering to his feet.
  214.
  215. "WE CAME FOR TREASURES… WHY SHOULD WE NOT TAKE IT ALL BY TAKIN' 'EM DOWN?" Wiping some rocky debris from his mug he'd stare down his cohots. "C'MON NOW... C'MON, YA KNOW S'GOOD..."
  216. (Charlie)
  217. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  218.
  219. [23:28] "Yea- not going to happin' ya' see? However....i'll be takin' ma' reward." A hand soon? Reached out towards one of the glimmering gems in the very middle. All the greediness in the world made him simply? Snatch up the Amethyst. It called to him, in more ways than one.
  220.
  221. Yet after grabbing it? By all means did the pirate begin to quite literally hall ass out of the room. There was no sense in dying in a temple.
  222.
  223. But this? Was just the beginning. One way down, too more to till the Capital in truth. For now? They just needed to survive...they all needed to survive.
  224.
  225. Would Ez forgive him? Probably not. But that didn't matter right now...all that mattered was what he got. Then again....there was Charlie saying they came for treasure. Back tracking juuust enough to make sure the others are following. But beyond that?
  226.
  227.
  228. It was a full on sprint towards the exit. Hand still plasteredover his guts.
  229. (Mori Reave)
  230. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  231.
  232. [23:32] {NARRATION} The group was not only happy with taking their treasures, but still looked for more- At least, in Charlie's case. And while Reave made it for the exit, the others could quickly notice the gold coalescing once again. Revolving around the room, before it ERUPTED in an explosion, sending debris everywhere!
  233.
  234. "AH, THIEVES!"
  235.
  236. Its voice was just the same as before.
  237.
  238. Yet?
  239.
  240. It seemed that the three taking the gems would feel something upon them...
  241.
  242. A constant gaze.
  243.
  244. A thief's bane was their own greed, after all- And they took just too much from this sacred vault. "YAMA DOES NOT ALLOW INTERLOPERS TO TAKE TOO MUCH TREASURE!"
  245.
  246. "CREATURES NOT FROM THE SEA ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO HAVE IT!" Quickly enough, it casts something-
  247.
  248. The gravity core of the entire room shifts, gathered into the middle. Truthfully, they could likely have so much more gold in this place, but it was all falling down- And with the black hole erupting in the middle?
  249.
  250. It was falling down with them.
  251. [23:37] "SEE?"
  252.
  253. Honestly, were it not for the screeching of the room about them their ears might have just had the misfortune of the tinkerer's full cry. The barrel of Outfall is once more leveled towards the golden idol - So glorious, so proper a sacrifice for King Basil himself.
  254.
  255. "WE KILL 'EM WE TAKE IT ALL. LITERALLY-- WHERE S'THE BAD PART? 'ELLO?" Bewildered, lost in his own little greedy streak those rat genes are surely on full display this moment.
  256.
  257. "SO LET'S TAKE IT DOWN 'N' ENJOY OURSELVES! WHAT'S THE GOOD IN A FUCKIN' 'EIST IF YA LEAVE THE LITERAL GIANT THING MADE OF GOLD 'N' BAUBLES LAYIN' 'ROUND? PLEASE! TELL ME!"
  258.
  259. With the room continuing to fall down towards a fine point around them he'd merely turn towards the elemental. Lest someone drag him out? Things were going to get dicey.
  260.
  261. "Ya want ya fuckin' prizes..? Then free 'em from this thing." Splitting an illusory duplicate from his form he'd grit his teeth.
  262.
  263. Septia, someone grab him if you wish to run...
  264. (Charlie)
  265. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  266.
  267. [23:40] The cost of taking from the Vault's most inner secrets would soon come to unfold before them. They found themselves unwelcomed guests in this sanctuary. A sanctuary into which she had paid in blood to get into.
  268.
  269. She was compelled to seek some sort of reward for that, something to set her eyes on. Yet there it was, the brilliant Diamond that distorted her vision of it. It was only a few moments after setting her greedy maw on its brilliance that the room began to break apart.
  270.
  271. It twisted and broke, taking away anything else that they could have potentially unmined. Yet with this defender, they would not be able to get very far.
  272.
  273. "Defeat this guardian, and take what we wish. Charlie is right!" The Elemental was in their way, and they were going to have to move it.
  274. (Ariel Cirque)
  275. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  276.
  277. [23:41] Blight had heard the first footsteps of their brother, and made for a sprint at his side. If there were to be any debris fired at the boy, Blight would've been there to obscure it's path. A glance back offered a glimpse of the elemental's resurgence, offering a twist on their heel. The mouse were right.
  278.
  279. No running.
  280.
  281. A sudden hunger overtook Blight's visage, as their form became shrouded in a deep, glimmering light; before orbs of sheer radiating ether course outwards in a flurry at the titan of gold.
  282.
  283. "Aye; Rip it ta shreds!"
  284. (Blight Reave)
  285. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  286.
  287. [23:42] "Well-...." Glancing back? He didn't run away...he actually had a massive head start in truth before running allll the way back towards the others. To say a flying kick or so.
  288.
  289. Just to smash into all that gold. Who would miss giving up all that gold after all? Certainly not the pirate reaver. Rip and tear more or less.
  290. It was time to take all the gold personally.
  291.
  292. It was, time to...more or less eat Gold.
  293. (Mori Reave)
  294. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  303. [00:00] Ariel Cirque exclaims, "We got this guys...!"
  304. [00:00] Charlie says, "I JUS'."

  316. Mori 3x
  317. Ariel 1x
  318. Eztli 1x)
  319. [00:23] {NARRATION} The creature of gold eventually starts to melt down, its powerful curse waning down- It seems that it is hell bent on killing the interlopers that just so happened to make their way into this sacred place.
  320.
  321. "YAMA- MY CREATOR! PLEASE, SAVE ME FR--"
  322.
  323. It stopped. Its magical essence waning, finally, by exposing its core- Something that Blight picks up on quite quickly and is capable of shooting out, causing the creature to collapse upon its own weight.
  324.
  325. Soon enough?
  326.
  327. Its gold melts fully, leaving only hardening chunks of the material it was made of-
  328.
  329. And finally, a peaceful enough way for them to leave this entire place, although once their adrenaline went down... They'd surely feel the consequences.
  330. [00:26] Eztli Meztin asks, "Anyone taking that?"
  331. [00:27] Mori Reave says, "I-...willl..."
  332. [00:27] Charlie says, "... S'nothin' that bends the light. N'ain't for me-- Even if I /could/ use it."
  333. [00:28] Blight Reave says, "ah-"
  334. [00:28] Charlie says, "If not then... By all /means/ I'll snatch it..."
  335. [00:28] Blight Reave says, "I wan' it."

  342. [00:29] Ariel Cirque says, "Woah."
  343. [00:29] Ariel Cirque says, "You're going to have to share..."
  344. [00:29] Ariel Cirque says, "5 is alot."
  345. [00:29] Charlie says, "-"
  346. [00:31] {NARRATION} Final results!

  352. [00:38] It were a ferocious fight to the bitter end. If Blight weren't as dexterous as they were in the final bout, they would've fallen perhaps one too many times to recover from. They found themselves battered, bloodied and bruised, even further than before. Time and timer again, the Sirenian took shots at the golden titan, though even that weren't enough to escape its wrath.
  353.
  354. It listened as it's eerie screeches for salvation were ignored, as the life were pulled from its body. Blight could only pull themselves upwards again, their body in tatters from all these bouts; they hung their form like a corpse would, black button eyes glaring onwards, until something revealed itself. Though bleeding from their mouth and nose, the rifle is lifted once more;
  355.
  356. A flash of light escapes Blight's rifle, with a trail that led straight to the exposed core of the creature, shattering it.
  357.
  358. "...Bulls'ye." They hung their rifle at theirside once more; pacing towards the chunks that broke from it.
  359.
  360. "....'s tha it?"
  361.
  362. The siren looks back to the group, then Mori.
  363. (Blight Reave)
  364. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  365.
  366. [00:43] Staring at everything and how it all fell into place? This...was as good as ever to leave. Especially with how everything was beginning to crumble down around them. All and all? Everything was in place...and the crew of rag tag misfits surely had to be done and tired by now.
  367.
  368. "With da' best intentions...lets get da' hell out of here and recover fer da' next one. Only....one more stop before da' Sirenian capital of da' world."
  369.
  370. There was a painful wheeze at the very end before they soon limped back towards the exit. If any of the others followed? Let them. But for now? All Mori wanted to do was drink and sleep until the next one came around.
  371.
  372.
  373. Then, they'd hit the big score.
  374. (Mori Reave)
  375. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  376.
  377. [00:46] {NARRATION} Charlie, Blight and Mori are afflicted with a punishment fitting for their own selves. They came here out of greed, seeking to rob a bank- And instead stumbled upon a vault that, allegedly, belonged to one.
  378.
  379. All three?
  380.
  381. The Thief's Curse runs through their mind day and night. Greed was their bane- And it would forever be so. A piece of their arm turns to gold, and it aches for more whenever they see anything that picks their greed yet again. A materialized version of such a sinful potential, constantly draining upon their energy. Likely, the removal of the limb or an extensive therapy could heal it as well.
  382.
  383. Blight finds himself in a worse off position by allowing a strike that was going to maim Ariel further hit him instead- And as such, the gold portion of his body only grows further, turning the entire left side of his body into a stiff, golden ornament of sorts.
  384.
  385. Eztli faces much of the same problem, except in a much smaller degree- His fingers are turned into gold, likely by the kindness he showed to the spirits in this place. After all, they were always watching over them, and this time it was no different- His own magic was more than capable of shoving it off, eventually.

  390. [00:50] The ancient room would begin to crumble under the pressure of the magi. Their magics shaking the entire structure into disarray. The clash was well fought, and prolonged. She prayed that the ceiling of this place would hold..
  391.
  392. Yet as molten Gold continued to pour around them Ariel dove and wove her way around the Battlefield - On such one occasion, she underestimated her jump and landed awkwardly! Her position was exposed and a missile of gold would fire directly at her.
  393.
  394. Just in time, Blight stands in the way and takes the hit for her-!
  395.
  396. She stumbles backwards and clashes onto the ground. "Y-You didn't have to do that! Why be so reckless?!" She scolded him for doing such!
  397.
  398. "Thank you... Even if I would've been fine if you didn't do that." Was that a lie? Probably.
  399. (Ariel Cirque)
