Itchy's 10 Step Guide To Port Forwarding

0: MAKE SURE, IF YOU HAVE A VPN IT IS SHUT OFF/LOGGED OUT!!! Your Server will NOT run/port through a VPN!

1: Open control panel/ Go to Network & internet/ Change Adapter Settings/ Your Ethernet/ IPv4 & Properties.

2: Open CMD and type ipconfig/all

3: Scroll look for your Ethernet Adapter/ Look for your IPv4 Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway/ Enter this info into your Adapter Settings.

4: Use following DNS Addresses 8.8.8.8 - 8.8.4.4

5: Copy your Default Gateway into your browser address bar OR by most default use 192.168.0.1 to access your Router Settings to Port Forward.

6: Type your router login info, usually admin and password as default/ OR found on your router box.

7: Go to Basic OR Advanced in most cases, look in the side panel for Forwarding OR Port Forwarding.

8: Create IPv4 and enter your local IPv4 address/ start 2302 and end port 2305 (external port is same)/ Protocol select TCP & UDP/ Description DayZ Server/ Enabled, ON.

9: Sometimes your router doesn't port forward due to your Firewall settings/ So either Shut off your Firewall OR safest to Port Forward through your firewall:

(- Type Windows Defender/ Edit Inbound Rules & Outbound Rules/ New Rule for each: Port/ TCP 2302-2305 & UDP 2302-2305/ Allow / All Checked/ Name it DZ TCP & DZ UDP/ Now do Outbound the EXACT SAME-)

10: Now your friends can play/ Join DayZ through DZSA OR go to community tab/ Search for your server by name/ play / Server showing in LAN is rare and not needed, you ONLY need it in Community anyways.

And If none of this works, (which is only in very rare cases) it's extremely likely that your Internet Service provider has a restriction on your port forwarding.
So give them a call and tell them to enable port fowarding for you, and then repeat these steps.
