⟼ background :
> brooklyn love was born to an english accountant (matthew love) and a korean waitress (kim seona), who met seven years prior while seona was on gap year in london. she was named brooklyn after the place her parents went for their honeymoon, and thus was branded with a brooklyn-beckham-esque name that some people even called "chavvy".
she was an only child, and grew up on attention, extra-long storytimes and big christmases. there wasn't anything wrong with her life, she just felt like something was missing.
so she wanted to escape london-where-it-rained-a-lot-and-you-had-to-go-everywhere-on-a-shitty-train and go explore france, america, cambodia, and especially south korea, her mother's hometown. so you can guess her excitement when her school offered a student exchange trip to shanghai.
brooklyn lived for a week with a girl named xiyi, who was interested in south korean music, particularly sechskies. brooklyn told xiyi about custard and the tube, while the latter told her about lanterns and "k-pop".
it was weird at first. but brooklyn grew to learn that korean music was strange and new, and admittedly very interesting. she came back home to london with the idea that being a k-idol was a fresh and practical career, and after graduating school with so much as a pat on the back, brooklyn moved to south korea with her parents and auditioned.

⟼ personality :
> brooklyn love was known throughout the residents of the london flat the soft-spoken, polite young girl who retained the innocence of a newborn baby. and in a way, they were right — but also terribly wrong.
brooklyn is flirty. that's one way of putting it. she feels compelled to tell someone that their hair colour is pretty, or that they remind her of an angel from the very heavens. yes, brooklyn can overdo it sometimes, and yes, sometimes it does land her into a lot of trouble. but she can't really help it. people need to know their self-worth, and it's better to do it in a way that's fun.
she's an emotional person; adrenaline quick to mainline into her heart at the very mention of danger. her feelings are often all over the place, but 18 years of practice proves worthy by managing to pack them all into a box with a bow on top. she's known for being loving, toward her family and friends, bordering on slightly creepy as her constant wishing for you to have the best hangs over your shoulders like an over-excited child. she's intuitive, basing her feelings on what she feels to be true even without conscious reasoning. this causes her to show sharp powers of judgement in situations, earning her the title of shrewd among those who aren't so good with her.
characterisation of brooklyn as protective are indeed true, but this usually stems from her caution not to run into situations she'll know will end badly. "don't do that thing i know will end badly!" she'll scream, being held back by her friends as she shouts after her whoever. the use of violence will often let her break free from her friend's grip and rescue the person in so-called "danger". this is what encourages her sympathetic trait, as she will know what you've been through, most likely because she had to save someone from it.
let's not mention the "dank meme" trait, that developed after all the times she's spent scrolling through her instagram timeline. she graduated with a degree in photography, but mainly uses it to take photos (mugshots, if you will) of people not looking their best. she'll quote memes in almost every caption, unless she's feeling serious, and that's when you'll see a quote most likely plane-related from top gun.
however, she's also very changeable when it comes to emotions. mood swings, if you will. she'll go from ecstatic to angry to bring full of regret, in a span of a minute. she's touchy, clingy, and when she finds a good person, she'll never dream of letting them go. she's unable to let go of things, dwelling on them irrationally and over-analysing, tearing herself apart with all the theories she has on why you don't want to be with her. which is probably why she uses humour a lot.
but i swear, you'll like her. unconditionally.
