  7. looking a bit lost, the bloodied mouse, beaten to all hell, nearly drowned, really badly dented helmet in one hand, axe tied to her back, barely ever actually does that and a fricking ARM sticking out of her bag walks around this ridicilously sunny island with gigantic trees, gigantic animals just to get an idea of where the hell she is.
  8. What happened? It's somewhat of a blur, everyone suddenly dissappeared.
  9. Has she been put under a spell? Did she drown? Is this hell? Definitly feels like it, but no use thinking about it too much, finding someone would be her highest priority for now as she'd walk along the shore cliff towards the less foresty looking south of the island(Bearbeitet)

  14. Shade.
  15. Kazmina needed shade for her eyes, if her eyes really worked well anymore. The heat of the sun was unbearable to her already, but it was nothing to the exhaustion wracked among her entire body, coupled with every bleeding bite and tear into her. The waters were never kind before, but this... This was something different. Kazmina dragged her feet northbound, keeping a firm grip on both her blades to be ready to spring into action.
  16.
  17. Spring being a loose term for her. Several times she stumbled and fell over, her stubbornness dragging her broken body back to her feet. Fucking sharks. Fucking fish. Fucking sun. Fucking... Everything... She had not really bothered to see how much of her was still attached, but it was at least enough to walk. Besides, if she was dead and in the hells, then walking would probably be what the devils wanted.

  22. The sun was glaring, the wind stagnant and the harsh waters below crashing against the cliffsides that kept the island above water. Besides nature itself (and the gremlin's suffering), all was quiet.
  23.
  24. Except for the loud clanking of armor drowning most of the noise out. Considering the seven foot tall bird was once again walking alongside her, perhaps Kazmina really was in hell this time. Minus a little wear and tear on his appearance, Faulkner looked just as old and grouchy as he always did.
  25.
  26. "Look, Captain. I know ya wanna find a place to rest before we starting huntin' the others down, but for for the love of the gods at least let me carry ya. You're walkin like you lost another drinking game."

  37. "Don't deserve that mercy..." she would mutter through gritted teeth. Faulkner had already done enough by dragging her onto shore from her own personal hell of drowning. It made her wonder, if it had not been for him, how long would she had been floating in the waters? How long had she been in them already? Once everything had gone dark, she had lost all sense of direction. Even now, she was simply stumbling along the white hot sands, clutching the back of her dagger hand against the wounds that still bled blood and oil. "Should've just left me f'r the sharks, you damned bird. I ain't done anything to get this sort of treatment in the afterlife."

  42. "Oh quit it with the tough gal act and learn to accept some damn help for once." Given her current state and the glaring sunlight beating down on the both of them, this ol bird was certain the tiny creature wouldn't put up a fight if he just went and yanked her up. Whether Kazmina would try to take a stab at him didn't matter to him, but he'd be impressed if she could. "If anything, I'm the one here that don't deserve the mercy, but look where we are now, Cap'n."

  52. The yoink caught her off her guard, and as Kazmina was hoisted up she would indeed scrape her dagger against his armor a few times. One strike, then another, and sluggishly a third, and finally the fourth simply scratched tiredly at his armor. Afterwards she simply hung limp in his grasp, a quiet sob escaping. Whether it was from the physical pain or something else, was too hard to tell. "Fuck you... Shouldn't have fuckin' pulled me onto shore, you restless bastard..."

  57. The bird showed no intent to resist Kaz's feeble attempts to cut a few feathers off, but it seems she couldn't even accomplish THAT. "Trust me, Kaz, dying ain't gonna solve all your problems like you think it will. Just look at me." One arm craddled the goblin like a child while Faulkner tried to use his bulky bird body to offer some protection from the sun. "...Saltmarsh may be gone, but... Ugh... Least I can do now is protect ya and the others when we find em..."
  58.
  59. There had to be some shade around here, right? Even Faulkner needed a place to rest sooner or later!

  64. the mouse would walk for a bit longer, it wouldn't take as long as she thought to see the southern end of the island, but what she'd actually see that would surprise her was.... a gigantic bird....
  65. "Shit is the sun making me hallucinate by now?"
  66. but then she'd squint a bit harder, would see the bird by now, captain in his arms and with that she'd realize, okay yeah that ain't an illusion
  67. "Shit I'm actually in hell."

  73. There she lay in his arm miserably, deciding to close her eyes. This was it. This was far enough for Kazmina. The grip on her dagger tightened as she contemplated plunging it into her own heart. If this was hell, she would just wake up again, surely.
  74.
  75. She opened her eyes once again and looked out. The shade from Faulkner's body helped her, but the blazing sun was still a strain to her eyes to see anything in the sunlight. But she could definitely pick up something moving in the distance. "... Faulkner, wh-... What's up ahead..."(Bearbeitet)

  80. Old as he may be, the bird's eyes at least still worked better than Kazmina's for the time being. Faulkner would shield his eyes if he wasn't shielding the gremlin, but he was able to make out the shape in the distance after some time. At first it seemed to only be someone approaching them, but as both parties grew closer to meeting halfway Faulkner began to recognize the figure. "...Well I'll be damned. Take a look, captain. It's our old drinking buddy."(Bearbeitet)

  85. with that hinawa would walk up closer to the both, blood dripping from the bandaged left arm, her surprisingly ignoring it looking up to the big ass bird as she gets closer, looking a bit in positive disbelief at him, shielding her eyes as well from the sun while looking up
  86. "Dang can't believe we all would end up in the same spot in hell!"

  91. No...
  92. No, no, no, no, no, no, no...
  93.
  94. The closer they had gotten, the lower her heart sank. If anyone could have survived whatever the hells had happened, it would have been Hinawa. But this? Kazmina could feel her gut seizing as she observed what she could, even if her eyes kept darting at the blurred and somewhat tended to stump of an arm. This was not supposed to happen. How did everything go so wrong? "This isn't right... You two should both be in the Hall of Heroes, not with me... No..."

  100. If Kazmina weren't bellyaching in Faulker's arm, he'd give her a good smack to snap her out of it. "Ugh... Kaz, ya ain't dead, and neither is Hinawa here... Hell, I ain't dead either it seems." And as he explained that to the mopey gremlin, he looked over to the rat. Considering Faulkner was the only one out of the three to actually die, well... he seems to be the least ragged now. "This ain't Hell, nor is it that so called Hall of Heroes. I know it's hard to believe, but y'all are still alive."
  101.
  102.
  103.
  104. Shuriangestern um 05:19 Uhr
  105. she'd stick her one remaining arm into a vest pocket as if she knew that was obvious but still had questions actually looking a bit annoyed, rare expression on her face
  106. "Naturally I'm not dead, if this were hell it would at least be worse than sitting 15 years in the same house with a suicidal hag and after shit that I've pulled, hall of heroes, hell, hall of the drowned, wouldn't matter I'd have some celestials on my ass already."
  107. with that she'd look around for a moment and then begins walking towards the cliff-side of the southern half of the island knowing that sadly she doesn't have too much time with her arm in that condition to talk

  112. Kazmina watched her, still trying to cope and comprehend what was going on then. If they weren't dead, then several things were absolutely wrong. Faulkner alive, as he stated. Hinawa, arm hacked off and still bleeding. And herself, still struggling to truly catch her breath as she clung to the bite wounds also still bleeding out. It also still lead to several questions of what happened and how, what would they do about this, and where the hell were they now. "Lady Hinawa, we need rest. At least... Yourself and me. I'm sure Faulkner's short retirement gave him a long enough breather. Nothin' but sand n' water towards the south."

  123. she'd chuckle with that for a moment and then continues talking in a serious manner
  124. "Sorry, no time to rest, resting right now means death, north is worse than the south, forest full of gigantic beasts and it's an island, we're stranded, at the moment we need to raise our survivability. If I fall asleep right now this here might rot." with that sentence she opens her bag and show her other arm sticking out of it

  129. "Hinawa," Kaz sat up through her own misery, sternly glaring to the rodent. "Understand that I do not intend to stay still for long, and you're not the only one bleeding out here, as well as that I cannot see where the hell we are. If we are going to survive then we need some form of shelter, and for this fucker to not leave us again." She rapped Faulkner's armor with the pommel of her dagger a few times, letting it clang and make its own noise. Only little of it was for actually from malice. Mostly Kazmina wished to hear the noise to get her head around what was going on. "You two go and find shelter. Let me down, I'll keep scouting. Maybe something washed up on shore during the aftermath..."
  130.
  131.
  132.
  133. Astragestern um 16:28 Uhr
  134. "Do you honestly think you're in any condition to be scouting, captain? I remember your eyes being near useless when it's bright out." Hence why Faulkner was shading the grump. Casually ignoring the comments about him leaving, his glare shifted around the landscape for any place that could make for shelter, if only for a short while. Even the littlest bit of shade would do for now. "Hinawa ain't in any condition to do much either. At least rest enough to let your bloody wounds close first, both of ya."

  141. "Never, wouldn't be able to re-attach it well anymore then."
  142. with that the mouse would sit down right next to the a stonewall, not really giving a lot of shade either considering the sun is right above them and with that she'd lay her back down to the side and continue talking while getting the arm out of the bag, a scarf, a feather in a glass-case that shines a liiiiittle bit too bright
  143. "The only shade you would get would be in the forest of monsters, I mean, the stomach of one of those beasts would probably be the darkest place you could find! But I think you prefer the sun over that"(Bearbeitet)

  153. There's no use arguing with these stubborn fools, was there? Being the only one among the three that wasn't in need of medical attention made it that much harder to leave either of them alone for long, but soon her relented to Kaz's demands. "Alright, alright, but if ya see anything that looks like trouble you get the hell outta there, got it?" Letting the little gremlin do their thing, the bird accompanied Hinawa as she began to prep... something? "And what this you're trying to do here?"
  154.
  155.
  156.
  157. Shuriangestern um 16:47 Uhr
  158. the mouse honestly thinks for a moment what she's about to say and looks up to the bird with a headtilt while undressing her vest so she could see the arm wound better sooner or later "First, it's fucking hot here, get some fresh air for my body, second probably the worst and most painful decision in my life that involves a pretty feather."
  159. she points at the glass container she got out with a smile while finally getting the vest off, revealing.... a lacking arm an open wound that's already slowly healing but still bleeding quite a bit and and a mouse kinda afraid of.... looking at it, but picking up her scarf so she can bind it together with one arm holding one end and one end with the mouth, making her talk muffled "In your case?"
  160.
  161.
  162.
  163. RaiRyogestern um 17:07 Uhr
  164. Once on the ground, Kazmina uneasily opened her arms and lifted her leather armor. Several bite marks from sharks and larger fish across her body, torn flesh, blood and whatever oils were used to run through her mechanical heart splattered across her. For her small stature, it was a hell of a lot where it should not be, and nearing more holes than intact skin.
  165. Quickly she yanked her own vest down once more, even if it was mostly torn asunder from the recent wear and tear. "I'll walk it off. Take more than this t' put me in a grave, remember? I'll scurry off, try t' find anything that could help along the beach for now. Anything's better than nothin'."
  166.
  167.

  169. Astragestern um 17:13 Uhr
  170. "Yeah, yeah. Just don't go drowning again. I don't wanna have to pull your ass out if the sea a second time." Faulkner waved the captain off to go do their silly scouting, and once she was gone it was finally time for him to slump against the wall near Hinawa with a heavy sigh. "Still coughing up sea water every now and then, but as far as I know it's like I never even drowned..."

Guess he could see why Kaz hates the light so much.

Hinawa seems to have some clue what this feather is, and it wasn't like things could get any worse, right? He took the feather as delicately as he could, holding it close to the mouse's limb. "Somehow this ain't the most batshit thing I've seen or heard today, but alright. Can't guarantee this won't hurt like hell though."

As someone who had trained to fight in a vastly different manner, Faulkner deep down wanted to admonish her for her recklessness, but as he said... it just worked for her somehow!
  272.
  273. Now for the fun part. Hinawa could feel her arm being held against her wound, giving her a clear indication Faulkner was preparing to reattach it. All he was waiting for now was the confirmation. "...A long time ago, there was a man as old as me now. Took me from the streets of Saltmarsh and gave me a home in the fort high on the cliffs. 323. Faulkner sighed. Geez, even miss one arm here can't handle this sorta pain. Really made him question what this feather was, or if this was even a good idea anymore. Just a little more work and that arm would hopefully be burnt on now, right?
  324.
  325. How was she even going to move her arm though?

  330. after a while the arm would be burned completly on, geez there was a lot of burnt away fur now and some burnt flesh, that will definitly leave an unsightly scar, mouse still unconcious laying there, she definitly had a for now useless meatbag full of bones on her shoulder again, maybe she has something figured out for afterwards but for now... schleepy(Bearbeitet)

  335. A few pieces of wood here, some rope there. Could at least fashion skids to pull a makeshift cart along the beach for now. Each step was searing pain throughout her body, countered only by her sheer stubbornness. Anything along the beach she could make out a shape for, she approached and picked up.

  337. Unfortunately most of what was initially found was simply driftwood. Tree limbs, ship planks. Not so much supplies rather than just easier resources for now instead of having to work harder for it later. For Hinawa and Faulkner, at least. Each footprint was accompanied in the sands with blotches of blood, no matter how hard she pressed against the wound. She would simply have to find a way to close it off later. For now... Kazmina pushed herself on. Scared of what was going on and what they were going to be looking forward to.

  342. Ugh... Now Faulkner had an unconscious mouse to attend to while waiting fir Kazmina to return, if she didn't wind up dead somehow that is. For now, all he could really do was set Hinawa aside in a more comfortable position. All he could do was sit and wait for the captain to return, alone with nothing but his thoughts.

  352. The minutes passed, Kaz taking her time to finally drag back what she could find in the short amount of time that she had left. It was not much, but they could at least have the beginnings of shade and small shelters from wind if necessary. The weary gremlin pulled what she had back to the duo, collapsing a few yards out in order to take a breather. "Faulkner... 's not much 'cept for rope and wood... How's Lady Hinawa?"

  357. The sun felt so warm, so oddly relaxing. Faulkner almost wanted to just drift I to sleep then and there, but thr faint noise of junk being dragged caught his attention. Sure enough, he quickly spotted the rogue and pulled himself up to his feet to help. "Hmmm, better than nothing. Hinawa's out cold right now. Poor gal couldn't handle getting her arm welded back onto her, but it's there and she's still breathing." The bird was quick to gather up anything Kaz had brought back. "Now get yourself some damn rest. You look like more of a corpse than the person who actually died here."

  367. "Am a fuckin' corpse..." she muttered, dragging herself back up to drag her self over to Hinawa and collapse once more against her with an elbow being burrowed lightly into the mouse's side. "Use your words, Lady Hinawa."

  382. A genuine smile crossed Kazmina's face, the first one in quite some time now. She was just too tired to really care about much else right now, between the pain throughout her body and the mental exhaustion in her mind. "There y' go, that works. Three of us alive, that's... Yeah, that's a good start..."

  387. Well, good to see the gang all back together, if you count 'the gang' as these three beaten up fucks. Hinawa was breathing, though there wasn't any sign her arm was, well... better than it was before at least, and Kazmina finally stopped being so stubborn and laid down. Now it was up to Faulkner to keep an eye on these two goofballs, because before he could get any rest he needed to Macgyver the three of them some sort of workable shelter with a buncha driftwood and a stone wall. Sigh...
