- Day 23: Balloon High
- As the new day dawned, I walked away from the mountain. I had spent too much time dwelling on my thoughts there, to the point were it nearly drove me insane. However, I still couldn't shake the questions that the towering peak left me; it gnawed at the back of my head, making me contemplate the person I truly was.
- In my attempts to escape those thoughts, I looked around me, the trees standing tall and somewhat orderly, like a group of soldiers in formation. Out of the corner of my eye, though, I saw something unusual; something I never thought I'd ever see.
- A large grouping of hot air balloons ascended into the aether, scattering with the clouds. What was going on over there?
- Before I could try to in the general direction towards the inflatable display, one of the larger hot-air balloons descended and landed next to me. To my surprise, the carriage was empty, but it seemed like someone or something was inviting me on board. Typically, I wouldn't trust anything like this, but with how unusual things have been recently, I feel like this couldn't really go wrong. I climbed in, and the balloon slowly rose up. I could feel myself being lifted away from the ground and drifting towards the rest of the fleet of hot-air balloons.
- As I look around at the other ones floating in the sky, I noticed people on some of them: all with different personalities and feelings about their own rides. Some more happy, some not as much.
- It really made me think about my individuality; we might all be going in roughly the same direction, but that doesn't mean we're the same. We each have our own trajectories, our own methods, and our own destinations to deal with.
- Going out and starting your journey to find yourself is a hard thing to do, but if you can get through it, then it really doesn't matter what can get in your way; you could go anywhere you please.
- Following the others, I stared off into the sunset, ready to reach whatever destination this ride had for me.
