- Etched deeply into the forbidding metal of the door is a numerological diagram, showing each of the seven numerals arranged in a circle, the symbol for the eighth, immortal number taking pride of place in the center. The precision of the engravings seem impossible for mortal hands to have achieved. Though it seems to be merely a decoration at first glance, occasionally a fleeting flicker of light will skitter across the diagram, and the metal conveys a faint, almost electric tingle to the fingertips if touched.
