- Step #1
- . Press the windows button + R or type run in the windows search bar
- . type services.msc
- . search for VGC right click, select properties and set startup type to automatic.
- . restart pc
- . Start valorant
- if it didnt work follow step 2
- Step #2
- . Delete bwh file in C: drive
- . Uninstall vanguard. to confirm its completely removed, open cmd as admin, type "sc delete vgc" and "sc delete vgk" , go to C:/Program Files, and make sure Riot Vanguard folder is not there
- . Launch valorant, let it install vanguard, launch the game, press reboot button, let the pc restarts.
- . after restart , go to services and set VGC startup type to automatic (explained in step 1)
- . Start valorant
- if it didn't work follow step 3
- Step #3
- . Open windows search bar and type msconfig
- . Open system configuration and press on Services
- . Press "Hide all Microsoft services " bottom left corner
- . then press "Disable all"
- . Search for VGK and enable it.
- . Hit apply, reboot pc, start game.
- if it didn't work follow step 4
- Step #4 (If you reached step 4, VGC driver has conflicts with another kernel mode driver)
- . Install Kernel Mode Drivers Manager
- . Run the program and use options > hide microsoft drivers to only show non-microsoft drivers.
- . In the list, ignore the driver entries residing in system32 folder ( they shouldn't be the cause of the issue)
- . Inspect the remaining entries, if anything is suspicious delete it.
- . If you have any software like process hacker, or a driver injector hacker, remove it
- uninstall the program, and search for the .sys and delete it. reboot and start game.
- (Common drivers like logitech, after burner and some known companies drivers shouldn't be removed)
- If nothing works, you have an unknown kernel driver that conflicts with vanguard and the cheat,
- if you installed many hacks, it could be from it, if not then you have an unwanted program that is messing with
- the kernel drivers, last solution is to disable everything at start up and start windows in Safe Mode.
- and try manually launching VGC and vanguard services and test.
- If nothing works, the only solution is to format.
