- February 11th, 2302 :
- Onboard SMC Event Horizon.
- The celestial body observation team led by Fredrik Niemer detects a UFO along our solar system and moving towards Neptune.
- This object is around 7 meters and emits large quantities of radiations, which last for a moment and alternate with irregular radio-like buzzing.
- If it keeps following the same trajectory, our ships might intercept it in a time span of three years.
- February 11th, 2303:
- We received new information. The object is speeding up and changed its trajectory. It is now heading toward the mining spaceships and could reach them in two years.
- From that day, the object never slowed down.
- February 27th, 2302, 11h28:
- The object will be in our interception range in 12 minutes.
- February 27th, 2302, 11h40:
- Despite its high speed, the object was intercepted without damage, using our SMC Event Horizon mining spaceship’s asteroid capture system.
- We are observing that the object was not another spaceship, but rather some sort of 23 feet tall rock statue, with a rugged and completely charred surface.
- February 27th 2302, 11h54 :
- 14 minutes after interception.
- The object is suddenly starting to “come to life” in the shed.
- The amount of emitted radiation now exceeds all safety thresholds.
- Its charred surface is quickly cracking.
- The object is now resembling some creature, either organic or synthetic.
- It is struggling inside its shell, using the metallic ground of the shed as an anvil upon which it could break it open.
- In less than 30 seconds, it has almost set itself free.
- The head only remains prisoner.
- The creature now stands still, for a short moment.
- Now it’s using its own head as a hammer, slamming it repeatedly on the ground as the thick metallic surface gets more and more deformed with each blow.
- Within a few seconds, the creature has completely set itself free.
- It roars – the sound is comparable to a metallic squeak, and then charges the shed’s inner doors.
- February 27th 2302, 12h15:
- 35 minutes after interception.
- We lost the vital signals of 112 of our crew members. The integrity of the hull is compromised on several places.
- February 27th, 2302, 12h38:
- 58 minutes after interception.
- Military frigate George Hammond is within reach, the order of fire was given.
- February 27th, 2302, 12h40:
- 60 minutes after interception.
- The SMC Event Horizon was shot down. 567 members are presumably deceased. 13 members could reach an escape pod before George Hammond fired.
- April 22nd, 2307:
- 5 years after interception.
- Ever since its discovery, the creature we named Geissel caused 1,2 billion deaths.
- The majority of all interplanetary conflicts have been interrupted, every nation-wide effort is now dedicated to the development of the U.H.D.F : the United Human Defense Force – an entity designed to fight Geissel.
- After 5 years of researching, Kern Ostrova, founder of Pulsar Tech Industries, which is one of the most prominent spatial mining private company, launched a first series of 100 robots named PX-Series. They are specifically conceived to combat Geissel.
- The battle lasted 1h17 and all 100 robots were destroyed.
- Kern Ostrova considered results. promising.
- Losses are estimated at 20 billion dollars.
- June 15th, 2314:
- 12 years after interception.
- Ever since its discovery, Geissel caused 11,2 billion deaths.
- 7 years after their first major test, Pulsar Tech Industries launched a second wave constituted of 800 upgraded PX-Series robots.
- The battle lasted 10 months and 7 days, all 800 units were destroyed but successfully expelled Geissel out of our solar system, using an anti-matter bomb.
- Kern Ostrova considered results promising.
- Losses are estimated at 250 billion dollars.
- The United Nations expressed some reservation after Pulsar Tech Industries’ power display. They criticized the company for not sharing its technological progress with all of humanity, especially their research about anti-matter applied to engines and weaponry.
- September 10th, 2315 :
- 13 years after interception.
- Geissel disappeared since his latest battle against robots from Pulsar Tech Industries and his energetic signature was off radar ever since.
- Experts estimated he depleted his energy reserves and is now floating away in space.
- The United Nation demanded that Pulsar Tech Industries share their technologies to rebuild our world faster.
- December 25th, 2315, 15h17:
- 13 years after interception.
- Geissel suddenly reappeared in space, around Mars.
- December 25th, 2315, 15h18:
- 75 seconds after being detected, Geissel hits the surface of planet Mars at the speed of 270 000 km/h.
- January 11th, 2316:
- 17 days after Geissel’s impact on Mars.
- 22 cruisers from the United Nations are positioned in orbit all around the planet.
- January 11th , 2316, 16h17 :
- The United Nations’ feel launched the biggest nuclear strike of our history.
- 125 Mark XV missiles, with a nuclear power of 2200 Mt each are fired to frame the whole planet.
- The number of deaths following Geissel’s impact, and the nuclear strike is estimated at 38 billion.
- Mars has become unhabitable for several generations.
- Ever since its discovery, Geissel caused 49 billion deaths.
- February 10th 2320 :
- 18 years after interception.
- The nuclear strike launched on Mars 4 years ago seemed to have no effect upon Geissel.
- He keeps destroying in a unpredictable and random manner, sometimes causing minor damage and then disappearing for several weeks.
- After crashing on the surface of Saturn, he stayed there for 3 weeks, as still as when we first found him, and proceeded to devour Saturn’s rings, spinning around the planet for several months.
- Destroying hundreds of vessels in a few weeks only to float away for several months into space.
- Ever since its discovery, Geissel caused 117 billion deaths.
- February 10th 2320 :
- 18 years after interception.
- 13 years after his first major test, Kern Ostrova announced that Pulsar Tech Industries just finished the production of his latest combat robots models, and that they are now on the way for normal condition of use testing.
- The PX-342 ORION series.
- Produced in only 80 copies.
- Those robots seem very different from their predecessors.
- More massive, around 23 meters tall.
- According to their presentation on the Pulsar Tech website, some of these robots will try new engine and weapon systems during their next battle against Geissel :
- Antimatter Grenade
- Thermobaric assault rifle
- Antimatter Engine
- Antimatter Bomb
- Fusion percussion system
- Staff with increased gravity
- The first test is scheduled for tomorrow.
- Kern Ostrova considers the results will be promising.
