  1. My car was repossesed even though I was present and refused to surrender it in front of witnesses. It's my understanding that if I don't agree to surrender the car in this state, they can't take it. The tow truck guy also threatened me, and tried to tell me that I would get my car back if I let him take it, but wouldn't get it back if I continued to refuse to surrender it. When the tow person hooked the car up I was standing behind it and he backed the fork onto my foot. I moved it before I got a serious injury, but it did hurt me. I then got into the car before he hooked it up, but he hooked it up anyway, and I think he lied to the police about whether I was in the car when he put the hook on. I believe the way he proceeded with the repossession was illegal and I want to know if I am correct, and if so how to proceed with a case against the company. I do have witnesses who saw me refuse to surrender the car, but no one saw him back the truck up while I was standing there, except the guy he had with him.
