  1. [22:00] So...
  2. This was it.
  3. The End of his endeavors up until this point.
  4. He took to his new refuge as of late: The Gloomlight Library. Having started from rather underwhelming beginnings and lacking a former education? He sought to educate himself -- after all, with one of the few others of his brethren being acclimated towards alchemy and artificery? It was without a doubt that they were taking advantage of the resources made available within the settlements -- within Xuefeng especially.
  5.
  6. Then, there was Suleiman; as much as Bayezid found their antics to be grating to bear from time to time? He couldn't help but acknowledge that his own inadequacy brought upon discomfort for the clansmen. He was supposed to take upon the role of a worthy combatant -- the most prominent of their warriors, train them up even! How was he supposed to do that, when he himself couldn't even cast magic proper.
  7.
  8. He had let himself fall victim to his emotions, and allowed them to act through him, as opposed to taking charge over his mind, over his body and so on. Even with swordsmanship under his belt, he simply wasn't satisfied...
  9.
  10. Thus, as he sat at the familiar desk, with a Blackout and Rebirth Potion sitting within reach -- he gave it serious thought. True consideration... Before he swiped them up, and swigged them, one after the other.
  11. The Blackout potion went down first, far from smooth -- tart even, twisting at his face.
  12.
  13. Then, in the fleeting moments that'd follow, he felt the fatigue. He felt the weakness... He felt his body actively responding in kind as the strength between the bindings of one's circuitry atrophied. The connections remained, but the sheer capacity of them waned -- leaving himself even further challenged to cast with any respectable degree of magus likeness.
  14.
  15. But, it'd be different this time...
  16. As the Rebirth potion was brought to his lips, he assured himself that he'd never forget. Never forget the feeling he recalled so long ago.
  17. Never forget the sensation of essence tingling beneath the surface after Lys'Ria had blessed him whole. The first time he succumbed to his emotions in extreme conditions -- he had felt it bleed into his muscularity. As a result, even now? The muscles swelled somewhat, implying that his exercises had paid off. He was wildly stronger than when this whole matter started -- perhaps, that was a necessary precursor?
  18.
  19. Though, it was not as though those whom had undergone a magus ascension outclassed ordinary people before, during or sometimes even after their magus awakening. As the bubbling, carbonated potion was lapped down -- he could feel it... It could feel the warmth arising from his arm. The hiss of residual mana releasing from the muscles, released from the circuitry to provide ease-of-invocation of one's automancy. It was, leaving him -- relinquished of the burden of magus attunement once more.
  20.
  21. --but the body never quite forget that feeling. After the first time, it simply stuck, meaning the potential of his success felt absolute. At last, it was time...
  22.
  23. Taken from his lips, with a clothed arm wiping away what droplets clung to his lips. The bottles were tossed for a nearby bin, one at a time.
  24. Swish!
  25. In went one...
  26. CRASH!
  27. … --and in pieces, glass shattered across the floor near the bin, with the other. He flinched at the fail.
  28. "Uh, Sorry!" for anyone else in the library that happened to hear that.
  29. It looked like he was on clean-up duty but... AS SOON AS HE WAS DONE? IT WAS TIME TO DIG INTO THE BOOKS!
  30.
  31. (Bayezid Gazi)
