So. Panthera is a catfolk goddess, born from the union of Mother Sky and Father Moon. Her fur is the midnight black of Mother Sky's midnight yet her eyes are as bright as Father Moon.

She hunts in the night, sliding through the shadows silently. The Shadow's Children tribe were supposedly created when Panthera took another God as a mate, a leopard god known as Leonas. That's why not all the Shadow's Children share Her black fur and why even some that do, have very faint spots.

The most blessed of Panthera's warriors are able to take a form that closely resembles her, borrowing her prowness and strength in battle.

Panthera is the oldest of her litter.  She is the Goddess of the Night.  Her brother Lio, is a Lion God of the Sun.  The youngest is Jaguara, a Jaguar Goddess of the Wind.

Panthera was raised in the night by her father.  Her mother raised Lio, showing him the wonders of the day.  The third cub, Jaguara, was left to herself and grew wild as the wind.

Panthera learned to stalk the night, using her black pelt to her advantage.  She began using her dexterity rather than her strength to win, though she was still strong.

When she mated and birthed the first of the Shadow's Children tribe, she blessed them all with her gifts, the gift of dexterity and the beauty of her dark pelt.  She loved all four of her cubs equally, even the one that shared his father's spotted golden pelt.
