lakeford and onward

lakeford- rumors of something washed up at welkern, some sea creature.

	word from Grist- things have gone wrong in Azaketh's Gate, Inese needs to lie low for a bit, so it will be a while before they can cross back into the hells. If you end up in the area within the next month or so it might be easier for you to escort her to avoid suspicion.

welkern- washed up corpse of an aboleth- a large whale-like creature with tentacles, it has pale, slimy flesh coated in a toxic mucus.
	some people in the town have been afflicted by the mucus and must breath water. they are also influenced to encourage others to inspect the creature in the hopes they will be infected too.

	where did the aboleth come from? sea cult dungeon? curing the people?

adante- a town of vampires, the streets are oddly empty during most of the day, there are all sorts of tarps/coverings hung up around the town to provide shade. the people here aren't aggressive, they generally feed off the blood of goats in town, though they aren't open about their vampirism. nazepu- more vampires, a larger town. home to the Duskrose Legion, which protects Adante, Nazepu, and Rund'g. Prince Florian is the local noble, with ties to the merchant's guild. Nazepu is one of the main stops on the way south, so lots of people come through here. There has been a recent explosion in the sandmite population, which is becoming an increasing problem as they threaten the stability of farmland, attack livestock, and generally cause issues for the wider region.

Hanakr- Kallen Cragfinder welcomes the party to Hanakr, an ancient city in the process of being restored to its former glory. The remnants of non-functional ancient technology are everywhere, with a few pieces restored and working, including several elevators.

The city is home to a large college with several departments: natural studies (biology, geology, etc.), occult studies (occult magics, etc), mechanical studies (engineering, etc). Kallen is the head of natural studies. a Tengu named Zhoke (Shzjoke) Sotchar is the head of occult studies. Kologhan Nasir, a brass dragon, is the head of mechanical studies.

Kallen offers the party a job to help with a newly uncovered archaeological site to the north west, near Rund'g.

Zhoke mentions that Nazepu to the north has been having an increasing issue with sandmites destroying crops and that they could probably use some help in exterminating them. Prince Florian, the local noble, would likely pay a pretty penny to have this problem solved.

Kologhan would be interested in a sample of Ragmaw's blood.

A human merchant, Shalar, offers the party a job in resolving a debt with a merchant prince on Sseth's Post. The prince Julian Varanti owes a large (and growing) debt to Shalar but has repeatedly blown him off, he's even heard word of Julian openly mocking him amongst the other merchant princes. Enough is enough, so Shalar wants you to intimidate him into paying up.
