2. download overwolf
3. download curseforge (on overwolf)
4. download the correct modpack (valhelsia 3 - 1.16)
5. press play



C) how to get optifine on modded minecraft (for valhelsia 3 - 1.16)

the short way
1. download https://optifine.net/adloadx?f=OptiFine_1.16.5_HD_U_G8.jar&x=932f
2. follow next section starting at 4

the long way
1. visit https://wiki.valhelsia.net/navigation/knowledgebase/optifine
2. find valhelsia 3 (1.16) and click the optifine download link
3. download the correct version of optifine for valhelsia 3
4. go to curseforge>my modpacks
5. right click on the valhelsia 3 - 1.16 icon and click open folder
6. direct to mods folder
7. put optifine .jar file(s) into that folder

(optional) 8. if you want to add shaders, start your game, go into video settings>shaders and click open shaders folder. i recommend using  sildurs shaders. https://sildurs-shaders.github.io/downloads/ -- warning there is an ad.fly type deal when u click download so just wait the 5 seconds dont click anything. i am using 'high' so if you want it here is a direct link thank me later https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/customization/sildurs-vibrant-shaders/files/3590074.

extra shit
- if your game crashes upon joining a server/applying a shader, just reboot the game again and try again. it will probably work and usually only happens once. this is a known issue.
- if ur lagging ur prob not giving mc enough ram, to change this i recommend u go to curseforge settings, game specific settings, minecraft, and at the bottom you can scale your max ram usage up or down. 7-8+ gigs should be enough
