Bye-Bye See You Tomorrow Summary (Seika 14A-Mito 15)

Seika 14
[A) Fight it alone]

Seika decides that since she doesn't want to fight with Reira by her side, she will take care of the familiar by herself.

Seika 16

Seika tells Reira not to butt in, because she'll fight it off by herself. Reira tells her that she can't do that, but Seika begs her to let her fight on her own. Before Reira can stop her, Seika attacks the familiar. Reira tries to join in. She attacks, then tells Seika to let her fight too. Seika tells her to stop and Reira asks her why. Suddenly, the familiar attacks, sending Reira flying. Seika flies over to her side and finds out that Reira broke the arm that she used to shield herself from the attack.
In tears, Seika takes out the familiar before flying back to Reira's side. To their surprise, Reira's arm seems completely fine. Seika's relieved, but Reira thinks something isn't right.

So they ask Kyuubey what happened, only to learn that they're no longer human...

Reira 17

The two girls learn the truth behind soul gems. Their soul gems are their lives, and even if they get hurt, as long as their soul gems are fine they'll recover via magic, etc etc.
The truth leaves both of them in shock. Seika apologizes to Reira and runs away in tears.

Reira thinks in hindsight that she should have chased after Seika and talked to her. But Reira herself was shocked and frightened to the point where her mind didn't work properly. She realized that she had done something she cannot be undone...

Mito 13

Mito wonders if there's a way to make Reira and Seika be friends again. There's no way she can move until they go back to the way they used to be.
She decides that first she'll talk to both of them--starting with Seika at lunch, and then Reira. Determined, she gets up, but her classmates interrupt her by making fun of her again. They ask if she's going to have lunch with her weird friends, that they want to see these weirdos, etc.
Mito remembers what Seika said in the AV room--that it's obvious that people are a little different from each other--and she finally bursts.

>Mito: ...What's wrong with...
>Classmate A: Haaa?
>Mito: ...What's wrong with being weird!? Why do you do things like make fun of something, just because you don't understand it yourself!? Don't talk about my beloved...beloved friends like that!
>Classmate B: ...Wh, What are you getting pissed off about?
>Classmate A: Uwaah...scary...

Fed up with them, Mito leaves, silently answering them with one last thought.

>Mito: ...Because...Because they're my beloved friends...!

Mito 14

Mito went to the AV room to talk with Seika, but when she arrived, Seika wasn't there. She tries to get a hold of Seika but she didn't reply, and when Mito tried to get Reira to walk home with her and talk to her, Reira replies that she has something she has to do today, so she can't.
In the end, Mito goes home alone. At the park, Mito wonders if things will stay this way between the three of them. She starts crying. Just a little while ago, they were that close to each other, and yet now they can't even talk to one another.

That's when Mito realizes that she should talk to Kyuubey. Kyuubey seems like someone who knows a lot and might know a solution to her problem.

Mito 15

Kyuubey showed up as soon as Mito called for him. He explains a lot of stuff to her. About magical girls, about witches, how Seika was fighting by herself without Mito and Reira knowing it...And also, how Reira has to start fighting as a magical girl too.
Mito tells him that she wants the two of them to become friends again, so she wants to know what she should do. He then starts talking about forming a contract.
She realizes making a wish is an option, but remembers that when Reira made her wish, it just made things between her and Seika worse.
Also, for some reason, there's something that scares Mito about the contract, and she knows she shouldn't just make a wish without thinking it through first.
Besides, if she did make a contract, she knows it'd make Seika upset.

She comes to a sudden realization. Anyway, first she wants to do something about Seika and Reira. And, after hearing Kyuubey's story, she thinks she shouldn't leave them to fight witches by themselves. She has to become a magical girl too. Even though it'd make both of them mad, she's already made the decision. But depending on her wish, it might make the situation worse. And actually, what led to them splitting apart might not just be witches.
Mito's answer to these problems is to form a contract with Kyuubey.
