Psalm 27 from Siddur Davar Ḥadash

לְדָוִד יהוה עֶזְרִי וְיִשְׁעִי מִמִּי אִירָא
יהוה מָעוֺז־חַיַּי מִמִּי אֶפְחָד׃
בִּקְרֹב עָלַי מְרֵעוֺל לֶאֱכֹל אֶת־בְּשָׂרִי
צְרוֺלַי וְאֹיְבוֺלַי לִי
הֵֽלָּה אָפְסוּ וְהָבָֽלוּ׃
אִם־תַּחֲנֶה עָלַי מַחֲנֶה לֹא־יִירָא לִבִּי
אִם־תָּקוּם עָלַי מִלְחָמָה
בְּזֹאת אֲנִי בוֺטַֽחַה׃

אַחַת שָׁאַֽלְתִּי מֵאֵת־יהוה
אוֺתָהּ אֲבַקֵּשׁ
שִׁבְתִּי בְּבֵית־יהוה כׇּל־יְמֵי חַיַּי
לַעֲטוֺת בְּנֹֽעַם־יהוה
וּלְבַקֵּר בְּהֵיכָלֶהּ׃

כִּי יִצְפְּנֹֽנִי בְּסֻכֶּהּ בְּיוֺם רָעָה
יַסְתִּרֹֽנִי בְּסֵֽתֶר אׇהֳלֶהּ
בְּצוּר יְרוֺמְמֹֽנִי׃
וְעַתָּה יָרוּם רֹאשִׁי
עַל אֹיְבוֹלַי סְבִיבוֺתַי
וַאֲהַלֵּל בְּאׇהֳלֶהּ הַלֵּל בַּטֻּחוֺת
אָגִֽילָה וַאֲבָרְכָה אֶת־יהוה
שִׁמְעֶה־יהוה צׇרְכִּי אֶשְׁאַל
וְחׇנֹּֽנִי וַעֲנֹֽנִי׃
לְךֶ אָמַר לִבִּי בַּקְּשׁוֺל פָּנָי
אֶת־פָּנֶֽיךֶ יהוה אֲבַקֵּשׁ׃
אַל־תַּסְתֵּֽרֶה פָּנֶֽיךֶ מִמֶּֽנִּי
אַל־תַּטֶּת־בְּאַף עַבְדֶּֽתְךֶ
עֶזְרָתִי הָיִֽיתֶ אַל־תִּטְּשֹֽׁנִי
וְאַל־תַּעַזְבֹֽנִי אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׁעִי׃
כִּי־כׇל־בֵּית יַלְדּוּתִי עֲזָבֽוּנִי
וּיהוה יַאַסְפֹֽנִי׃
הוֺרֹֽנִי יהוה דַּרְכֶּֽךֶ
וּנְחֹֽנִי בְּאֹֽרַח מִישׁוֺר
לְמַֽעַן שׂוֺרְרוֺלָי׃
אַל־תִּתְּנֹֽנִי בְּנֶֽפֶשׁ צְרוֺלָי
כִּי קָֽמוּ־בִי עֵדֵי־שֶֽׁקֶר וִיפֵֽחַ חָמָס׃
לוּלֵא הֶאֱמַֽנְתִּי לִשְׁכּוֺן
בְּטוּב־יהוה בְּאֶֽרֶץ חַיִּים׃
קַוֶּת אֶל־יהוה
חִזְקֶה וְיַאֲמֵץ לִבֶּֽךֶ
וְקַוֶּת אֶל־יהוה׃

LəDavid Shəkhinah ezri vəyish'i mimi ira
Shəkhinah ma'oz ḥayai mimi efḥad.
Biqrov alai mərei'ol le'ekhol et bəsari
tzərolai vəoyvolai li
héilah afəsu vəhaválu.
Im taḥaneh alai maḥaneh lo yira libi
im taqum alai milḥamah
bəzot ani botáḥah.

Aḥat sha'álti mei'eit Shəkhinah
otah avaqeish
shivti bəveit Shəkhinah kol yəmei ḥayai
la'atot bənó'am Shəkhinah
ulvaqeir bəheikhaleh.

Ki yitzpənóni bəsukeh bəyom ra'ah
yastiróni bəséiter oholeh
bətzur yəroməmóni.
Və'atah yarum roshi
al oyvolai səvivotai
va'ahaleil bəoholeh haleil batukhot
agílah va'avarəkhah et Shekhinah
Shim'eh Shəkhinah tzorki esh'al
vəḥonóni va'anóni.
ləkhe amar libi baqəshol panai
et panéikhe Shəkhinah avaqeish.
al tatet bə'af avdétkhe
ezrati hayíte al titəshóni
və'al ta'azvóni Elohei yish'i.
Ki khol beit yalduti azavúni
uShkhinah ya'asfóni.
Horóni Shekhinah darkékhe

bətuv Shəkhinah bə'éretz ḥayim.

ḥizqeh vəya'ameitz libékhe
vəqavet el Shəkhinah.

Of David. The Presence is my Help and my Liberation; who shall I fear?
The Presence is the Stronghold of my life; who shall I dread?
When evildoers approach me to eat my flesh,
my foes and my enemies,
it is they who have come to naught and become breath!
If an army takes arms against me, my heart will not fear.
If war be built up against me,
I trust this!

One thing I have asked of The Presence,
one thing sought out:
to rest in the house of The Presence all the days of my life,
to wrap myself in The Presence's pleasantness
and to contemplate Voix sanctuary.

For Voi will hide me in Voix den on a day of evil,
will cover me with the cover of Voix tent,
on a rock Voi will raise me up.
And now my head is raised
over my enemies around me,
and I will offer praise in Voix tent, praise in security!
I will be glad and I will bless The Presence
Pay attention, Presence, to my need when I ask,
and grace me and answer me!
Of You, my heart understood, "Seek out My face!",
and Your face, Presence, I will seek out.
Don't cover Your face from me!
Don't turn away from Your servant in anger!
You have been my Help — don't forsake me!
And don't fail me, God of my Liberation!
For the whole house of my childhood may fail me
and The Presence will still gather me in.
Show me Your road, Presence,
and guide me on a smooth path
because of my opponents.
Don't give me to the spirit of my foes!
For deceitful witnesses and a violent whisper have arisen against me.
If I did not trust I would dwell
in the Good of The Presence in the land of life—
Hope towards The Presence!
Be strong and your heart will have courage!
And hope towards The Presence!
