1. (Only Sorin, MechMarc and me for this thread. Takes place after the Reflections plot for Will and after No Rest For The Wicked for Kara.)
2.
3. "This place looks peaceful." Will said as he appeared in a hallway. The floor was greenish blue and the walls were an aqua blue of sorts. The hydromancer had chosen this world, simply because he needed to be on his own for now. Learning about another him walking around was a bit of a surprise. But what had shocked him was that it had been the same one he had killed back in the other Will's universe. Recent events were just a bit too much even for him.
4.
5. Shaking his head, Will walked through the archway in front of him and found himself in another hallway. It was different though due to the six waterfalls in the hallway, each one separated by a pillar, counting up to five pillars. "This place looks familiar."
6.
7. "You know where we are?" A voice asked. Will turned to find the owner, who turned out to be Kara.
8.
9. "I think so. My name is Will Tarin." Will introduced himself.
10.
11. "Kara Newton." Kara replied and walked towards the hydromancer. "You said this place looked familiar. Which means you know where we are."
12.
13. Will nodded. "Yeah but I've never been here before. If this place is what I think it is then..."
14.
15. ====
16.
17. "I hate snow..."
18.
19. Nicole kept repeating that, over and over, in her mind as she walked. Due to her limited wardrobe, she wasn't really prepared for the chilling weather of Imil.
20.
21. Her body was covered by an old but useful brown cape with a collar long enough to keep her neck warm. A gift from the nice people of the Inn-"If only I could have got this sooner..."-she said to herself, flashing back at how annoying was the walk across the white fields as she made her way to the village.
22.
23. She took a good look at the insides of the lighthouse. She remembered this place, yet actually being inside was a completely different experience. The sound of the water that run all across the place was somewhat soothing and the place was slightly warmer than the outside. It really made her reflect...
24.
25. While now knowing about her role as an Interference, Nicole didn't have much more info regarding the subject. Even after obtaining a ship, she was unable to find her way back to Ivalice...or find a way to return back home....not even a clue about the whereabouts of that mysterious man who transported her to Radiant Garden. Since then, she really has just bee wandering around worlds, with no real target. She was getting tired of knowing little to nothing...
26.
27. Deep in her thoughts,was surprised to see that she was already in another room. Her attention quickly shifted towards a pair of travelers. She sort of expected someone else to be in this place.
28.
29. "So I guess I wasn't the only one with curiosity about this place?"-she spoke as she approached the other two.
30.
31. ====
32.
33. It was one of the benefits of being a pyromancer. When you're someplace cold just use your flames to keep the cold away. But even after surrounding his body with fire, Pyro was still looking for someplace to get out of the snow. And said place would be the lighthouse like building. And after a quick bit of exploring turns out he wasn't the only one who was checking things out.
34.
35. "Hey Will!" Pyro shouted as he waved down the hydromancer. Pyro had no idea why but he felt strange while in this building but he wasn't going to let it bug him all that much. Plus he didn't want to worry Will over something like something he ate probably.
36.
37. ====
38.
39. Will and Kara both noticed a tanned girl walking into the hallway they were in and greeted her. "Hi, I'm Will Tarin."
40.
41. "Hello." Kara replied.
42.
43. And then arrived a familiar face, to Will at least. "Hi Pyro. Long time no see. Jess is fine, by the way. She... got a new weapon." The hydromancer said, not wanting to say anymore.
44.
45. Kara coughed, getting his attention. "I don't mean to interrupt but I want to know what this place reminded you of. Oh, name's Kara Newton." She said the last part to the girl and Pyro.
46.
47. "Oh right. There was this game I used to play years ago. It's called Golden Sun. And this place look like the- Wait..." Will stopped, realizing something and ran through one of the waterfalls.
48.
49. "Hey! Get back here. Now." Kara called out to the hydromancer. The next moment, he came flying out of the waterfall, his back hitting the wall. "I didn't mean that quickly. What hit you?"
50.
51. She got her answer as from behind the waterfall, a small, blue creature shot out and landed on the floor. It stood on its two feet, it's yellow eyes staring at Kara, swishing it's tail with had a crab pincer at the end and it's light green belly puffed up. It glowed for a bit and then launched a large array of watery spheres and the four.
52.
53. The attack didn't do much damage to Will since water was his element. "It's a Mercury Djinn..." He groaned as he got up.
54.
55. Kara got a bit more damage than the hydromancer and raised an arm. She used her Zephyr spell, launching a blast of wind that had been concentrated to a single blow, hitting the Djinn as Will had called it.
56.
57. ====
58.
59. Nicole easily recognized the creature the moment it made its presence. Having playing the game not so long ago, she knew why was the creature hidden behind the waterfall. It also was a sign that the events of the game involving this lighthouse have yet to happen.
60.
61. She stepped backwards the moment the Djinn unleashed its fury, moving away from a direct hit but still receiving some damage from the water sphere's impact.
62.
63. Quickly getting up from the ground she shifted to a battle position then taking out her iron bo staff, right then just a short rod, which quickly grew to it's full length. Nicole charged forward, knowing due to the size of the room her powers would be just as harmful to the rest of the group as it would be for the creature, and swung down trying to hit the djinn's head.
64.
65. ====
66.
67. "Always running into trouble huh Will?" Pyro asked with a small smirk. Now that he saw the creature he knew what world he was in. And he did find it funny that from what he could tell so far, they already had three of the four elements that this world revolves around. Though if he had to bet the girl with the staff probably would fulfill the last element.
68.
69. "Well let's get the party started." Pyro said as fire appeared around his hands. Now that he knew the world he knew why he felt weakened. This being the Mercury Lighthouse meant his fire powers would be a bit weakened. Still it was enough to handle the Djinn. Pyro threw a couple fireballs at the Djinn.
70.
71. ====
72.
73. The Mercury Djinn found itself blown away by Kara's spell. It was also hit by Pyro's fireballs. Just as the Djinn recovered from the attacks, it got whacked by the girl's staff on the head. The Djinn retaliated by tackling the girl on the stomach and floated away. The creature glowed for a moment and a moderate amount of ice shards appeared above Will, Kara and Pyro. The shards fell down on all three, hitting them hard.
74.
75. "Trouble seems to be thing we run into the most, Pyro." Will replied right before the Djinn conjured the ice shards.. Again, he was the one who got the least damage, water being his element. The hydromancer charged at the Djinn and grabbed its tail. He whacked the Djinn against the floor once and then threw it away.
76.
77. The Mercury Djinn quickly recovered and charged at Will, only for a small patch of thick thorns to appear under it, damaging the creature and stopping its charge. Kara panted as she lowered her extended arm. That had taken a bit more magic than the Thorn Patch spell normally used. It did make sense, considering they were inside a building and not outside where there was an abundance of nature.
78.
79. ====
80.
81. "How do you like that, you little vermin-Ow!!"-Nicole was soon pushed to wall by the Mercury Djinn. She certainly forgot how strong these beings can be. She tried once more to hit it with her bo staff only for the creature to float back and dodge it.
82.
83. "Dammit!"-she cursed. Her eyes moved slightly to see how the rest of the group was doing-"If only I could use my powers here, but the room is too small. There must be something I could do...wait..". Nicole gazed over her staff realizing what she could do.
84.
85. "I just hope this doesn't end like last time..."-she said to herself as she closed her eyes. Her grip on the bo staff tightened and the marks across her arms started to glow with a soft light. The rest were able to see how wisps of a cirrus cloud started to form and circle around her hand and her forearm. Electricity soon started to transfer and travel across the iron staff right to its end, that had two small iron spikes at the end. She didn't fully charged it, however, knowing this creature wasn't really evil, but was strong enough to pack quite a punch.
86.
87. "Hyaaa!"-Nicole dashed once more at the Djinn and trusted the staff's end, hoping to get a shocking hit.
88.
89. ====
90.
91. Pyro created a wall of fire but most of the ice shards got through and hit him. Of course being a fire user and being in a place where water and ice attacks were more powerful and he was weakened, Pyro was the one who took the most damage. "Sometimes it really sucks at how fire has no real defense abilities." Pyro muttered to himself.
92.
93. Pyro held his hands close as a large fireball formed between them. Better to try and end this before having to take another attack like before. "Infernal Meteor!" Pyro called out as he threw the fireball at the Djinn. Djinn were strong but they usually went down fairly easily in the games.
94.
95. ====
96.
97. The Mercury Djinn struggled against the thorns when it got hit by the bo staff wielding girl's electrified physical attack. While the attack shocked the creature, it also pushed it free from the thorny patch. The Djinn didn't celebrate for long as the hit sent it into the path of Pyro's large fireball. It knew it was in trouble and the four were in a position to stop from running away. The only escape it had was the room where the creature had been staying in.
98.
99. The Mercury Djinn could still create an opening. So it glowed then conjured a large piece of ice above the four Interferences. The ice dropped on top of them and the creature made it's move. Or would've except for the fact that Will again took the least damage from the attack.
100.
101. The hydromancer launched a burst of water at the Djinn. It didn't just come out faster but also stronger. As if it was more powerful than before. Not a complete stretch considering the Mercury Lighthouse made water and ice attacks more powerful. The creature flew back into the room where it had been standing earlier.
102.
103. Will lowered his arm, not even feeling tired after that battle. The lighthouse was making him feel more stronger and felt comfortable in the area. "Wow. I wonder if the little guy's okay."
104.
105. "Did you just have to jinx it?" Kara asked, annoyed. She had managed to recover from the large ice which had disappeared after being hit by it and prepared another Zephyr spell to use. The woman dropped the spell though after the creature was hit by Will's water attack.
106.
107. Speaking of the Mercury Djinn, it jumped out from the hidden room. "Wait." The creature spoke, surprising Kara and stopping her from attacking. "You win. I'll join you."
108.
109. Kara narrowed her eyes at the creature. "Why?" She asked, suspicious of it.
110.
111. "What do you mean why?" The Djinn replied. "You're adepts, aren't you? How else could you guys fight like that and beat me?"
112.
113. "Well...." Will said, not knowing how to explain it or word it to the Mercury Djinn. "We're not adepts per se... I mean we're not like them... But it's complicated."
114.
115. "Wait..." The Djinn jumped up and floated straight towards Will. The latter winced before noticing the creature stopping in front of him. The Mercury Djinn looked over the hydromancer at first and then glowed. It kept focusing for a few moments and then stopped. "You're Interferences, aren't you? I've always wondered what one looked like."
116.
117. "Huh? You know what we are?" Will asked, a bit surprised.
118.
119. "And how do you know about us?" Kara asked. Unlike the others, she wasn't used to characters in a game already knowing about what Interferences are.
120.
121. "I just do. So do the rest of my kind. Name's Sleet, by the way." The Mercury Djinn, Sleet replied.
122.
123. ====
124.
125. Nicole was surprised. She completely forgot Djinns had the ability to speak. And not just that, but somehow being aware of Interferences as well?-"Um...hello Sleet"-she said still somewhat dumbfounded. She slowly approached her creature, then crouched besides him-"Sorry if we hit you too much"
126.
127. Now that the creature was calm, she decided to ask something she wanted to know the moment she arrived to this place-"So, since you were hiding behind that waterfall. I suppose you haven't seen a group of Adepts passing by, am I right?"
128.
129. She felt that was the case, yet she still had to confirm it. If the Adepts, the group of the game, haven't arrived yet, it would only mean one thing. The threat at top of the Mercury Lighthouse was still there, and someone had to stop him.
130.
131. ====
132.
133. "Some beings in each world know about Interferences. We don't know how they do. But the Djinn and that big stone eye guy are probably the most likely guys in the most to know about us." Pyro said to Nicole. It was probably for the best as the Djinn would help them after a fight usually though this was probably the only one they would meet. There was usually only one per dungeon.
134.
135. Pyro did wonder if this world's Isaac and friends had someone passed this Djinn by or if they hadn't arrived yet. It probably would be best if it was the former though Pyro had the feeling it was the later.
136.
137. "Think we should keep moving?" Pyro asked.
138.
139. ====
140.
141. "Not really." Sleet replied to Nicole. "You guys are the only ones that got here. And before that were those creepy Mars Adepts with the old man, the cute Mars Adept, the Earth Adept and that mysterious Mercury Adept."
142.
143. "They're at the top already?!" Will commented. That meant that the protagonists haven't arrived yet. "I wonder when they'll get here?"
144.
145. "Who?" Kara asked. She got her answer when four teenagers walked into the hallway.
146.
147. The one in front was a blonde young man with blue eyes. He was wearing a red breastplate with a dark blue tunic underneath, pants of the same color as the tunic, a matching set of brown boots and gloves and a yellow scarf around his neck. Sheathed on his back was a longsword.
148.
149. Behind him was another young man about the same age, except taller, more muscular with spiked up red hair and auburn eyes. He was wearing a green breastplate with a light brown short-sleeved tunic underneath, light purple pants and a matching set of brown boots and gloves. On his back was a one-headed axe.
150.
151. Besides him was a shorter young man with short, blonde hair and purple eyes. He was wearing a purple tunic with a short, green shirt cape with hood, maroon pants and brown walking shoes. He was carrying a strange looking staff.
152.
153. And finally behind the three boys was a girl with light blue hair tied in a ponytail and light blue eyes. She was wearing a white robe with purple outlines and a cloak with the same colors, white gloves and shoes. She was carrying a staff with the head in the shape of an ankh.
154.
155. "Hey! How did you get in here so quickly?!" The red haired young man asked, taking out his axe.
156.
157. "Calm down, Garet. They have a Djinn with them. Although I've never seen clothes like theirs before." The staff wielding young man commented.
158.
159. "But that would mean they are also adepts. And we haven't heard about any travelers passing through here besides the ones we're chasing." The blonde swordsman commented."Any idea who they are, Mia?"
160.
161. "No. My apologies Isaac but I haven't even seen them before. Ivan does have a point about their clothes though." The girl Mia commented.
162.
163. "We can hear you, you know." Kara replied, getting their attention.
164.
165. ====
166.
167. Nicole quickly associated each character she could remember from the game to the descriptions Sleet was giving. Her suspicion about the others and her arriving early was correct. However, she didn't expect the main Adept heroes to arrive so soon.
168.
169. She decided to just ignore the comments about their clothes-"Look, calm down. We are not here to cause trouble". She rose up and moved a little away of the Djinn's position as she continued-"I'm Nicole. These behind me are Kara, Will and Pyro. We were just passing by and decided to take a look at the lighthouse, that's all"
170.
171. "We did hear from this Djinn that some other strange Adepts got to the top before we even got here"-She decided to bend the truth a little bit, as just state that they knew this information already would cause the group of Golden Sun protagonists to distrust them.
172.
173. ====
174.
175. "Yeah. From what the Djinn here said it sounded like they were up to no good. I guess we can help each other out and check it out." Pyro offered. From his own experiences with the game he had a bit of trouble with the boss at the top of the Lighthouse. With the main cast as well as the Interferences Pyro didn't think it would be much trouble now...if things went the same way as the game at least.
176.
177. ====
178.
179. Along with what Nicole and Pyro said, Will had managed to explain things without revealing what Interferences were. "So sorry. We didn't see anyone else in here besides the Djinn and you four."
180.
181. "Does that mean we have to fight that Mercury Djinn after all?" Garet groaned, complaining.
182.
183. "Not really." Sleet replied. "I'll join you. No way I'll fight you guys after I lost to these four." He motioned to the Interferences then floated straight into Mia. Instead of crashing into her, it went right inside of the girl.
184.
185. At that moment, Djinns appeared on the shoulders of each Adept. Mia obviously had Sleet and another Mercury Djinn. Isaac had two brown Djinns with blue eyes, spiked horns and two spikes on each side and a tail shaped like a fish's tail fin. Garet had two red Djinns with four horns and a wavy tail. Lastly, Ivan had two purple Djinns with a short, pointy tail and the head having feathers.
186.
187. "Flint, Granite, Forge, Fever, Gust, Breeze and Fizz. Long time no see, guys." Sleet said, speaking in order starting with Isaac's Djinns, Garet's, Ivan's and finally his fellow Mercury Djinn, who also happened to be female. "How did you find these Adepts?"
188.
189. "It's a long story. Y-" Flint started but had to stop due to the collective groans coming not just from the other Djinni but also from the four Adepts. The Venus Djinn had to sigh. "Fine, I'll summarize. These guys are searching other adepts who took the four elemental stars."
190.
191. "Yeah yeah. But those other four guys aren't really adepts, are they?" Fever asked, looking at the four.
192.
193. "They're Interferences." Fizz replied. "Sleet told me when he set deep into Mia."
194.
195. "Can you please rephrase that, Fizz?" Breeze asked.
196.
197. "I don't mean to stop this interesting conversation but we're right here." Kara said, getting the attention of the Djinni and the Adepts.
198.
199. "What are Interferences?" Mia asked.
200.
201. "Special kind of Adepts." Granite replied, a bit too quickly. "They come from way beyond Weyard."
202.
203. "Please don't read their mind, Ivan." Gust added, revealing the Jupiter Djinn was also female. "Trust me, it's better this way."
204.
205. "All right." Isaac spoke. "We have more important things to worry about. We need to find Saturos' group."
206.
207. Mia nodded. "You're right. I need to find out why they lit the beacon of the lighthouse."
208.
209. "Obviously, those four are coming too. There's strength in numbers." Forge added, looking at the four Interferences.
210.
211. "Yeah. You heard the Mars Djinn. We're obviously going." Will replied. Now that he knew that the others had just gotten here, that had been his intention. He only hoped the antagonists knew nothing about them.
212.
213. "I'm already involved. So why not?" Kara said. She was still new to being an Interference so hopefully this would help her gain enough experience in dealing with situations like these.
214.
215. ====
216.
217. "I can't really say no right now, so yeah I'm going"-Nicole spoke. Then she joked-"Besides, anything beats having to go back to the cold again..."
218.
219. While the purpose of Saturos' group involving the Lighthouse was clear inside her mind, she knew that she should remain silent about it. The tale of this world, while slightly altered by the Interferences' presence, was not to be fully tempered with. It needed to continue flowing as it should, at least in some degree.
220.
221. Besides, a battle where she could put her skills to an use was always welcome. There really wasn't much of a supporting side in her thunderstorm powers.
222.
223. ====
224.
225. "I'm in too. I could always do with a fight." Pyro said as he cracked his knuckles. Even if they interfered with this fight, things shouldn't change too much in the world. Plus he wasn't going to leave Will alone just in case he got hurt however unlikely it might be. If Jess found out about it she would kill him.
226.
227. "So we go to the top and kick the asses of those Fire Adepts right? Sounds like a pretty easy plan."
228.
229. ====
230.
231. "Well, we would appreciate the help." Isaac nodded. "Now let's hurry."
232.
233. -------------
234.
235. Timeskip
236.
237. The four Adepts and Interferences where standing in a room with a waterfall on the back and a statue in the center of the room. Isaac walked towards the statue and inspected it. "It's just like that other room."
238.
239. "And it'll affect the waterfall, won't it?" Kara sighed. She was hoping they had just gotten to their goal.
240.
241. "Then..." Mia walked towards the statue and her body glowed as she extended an arm, her hand wipe open. The statue glowed and suddenly, the waterfall in the room began flowing upwards. "I was right. This will take us to the top of the lighthouse." She walked towards the waterfall and was taken by the flow straight up.
242.
243. Isaac was next, following the Water Adept up the waterfall. Kara sighed. "I'll go ahead too." She walked towards the waterfall as well and the flow took her up.
244.
245. "You're next, Garet." Ivan said.
246.
247. But the Mars Adept shook his head. "No way."
248.
249. "Come on. This isn't the time to be afraid of water."
250.
251. "I'm not going! Besides, why don't they go ahead first?"
252.
253. "Because you should've gone ahead after Isaac. Besides, don't you wanna save Jenna?"
254.
255. "..." That got Garet to shut up. He hesitantly moved towards the waterfall. But once he got close, the Mars Adept quickly turned around. "I can't do it..."
256.
257. Ivan couldn't help but sigh. But his expression suddenly changed to a curious one. "Garet? What's that behind you?"
258.
259. The Mars Adept turned around. "What? I don't see anything."
260.
261. "Down there, on the floor. I think Isaac dropped something." Ivan replied.
262.
263. Garet knelt down, looking on the ground. "I still don't see anything."
264.
265. "Closer."
266.
267. Garet moved a step ahead. "Is this better?"
268.
269. "Perfect. Now!" Ivan said. One of the Jupiter Djinn shot out from Ivan and hit Garet straight on. The Mars Adept found himself thrown towards the waterfall and sent upwards by the flow. The Djinn, Gust stared at Ivan and spoke, her voice sounding concerned. "Are you sure that was fine, Ivan? I gave him a light shove like you told me to."
270.
271. "We were gonna be here all day if we didn't get him moving. Besides, I'm counting on Isaac and Mia to stop him." Ivan replied. The Jupiter Adept walked towards the waterfall and let the flow take him upward.
272.
273. Will would've followed Kara but he had been watching the exchange between Ivan and Garet. The hydromancer simply shook his head at what happened. "That was... interesting." He walked towards the waterfall and let the flow take him to the top of the lighthouse.
274.
275. ====
276.
277. Nicole could only sigh at the display of shenanigans between the Adepts. She slowly approached the waterfall and took a quick glance, seeing how strong it was.-"Well..."-she said while turning back to the remaining people on the floor-"Guess it's time to put up a fight"
278.
279. Not wanting to delay any longer, she took her bo staff once again, fully prepared for the battle ahead, and stepped forward. The strength of the waters lifting her upwards to the top of the Lighthouse. In her mind, she just hoped both the heroes and the other Interferences, including herself, were truly ready.
280.
281. ====
282.
283. Pyro was laughing as Ivan knocked Garret into the waterfall. If Pyro felt there was one problem with the games it was that the characters didn't really have that interesting personalities. It was nice to see that they were more interesting in real life than in the game. He looked at the waterfall himself. Unlike Garret he had no real problem with water. The only feeling of unease he had was due to the energy of the lighthouse itself.
284.
285. "Well let's go kick some ass." Pyro said with a grin as he too entered the waterfall and found himself being sent up to the top of the lighthouse.
286.
287. ====
288.
289. "Calm down, Garet." Isaac said, attempting to calm his friend down. He was standing between him and Ivan.
290.
291. "Don't tell me to calm down after what that wiry brat pulled down there!" Garet tried to get past Isaac but couldn't.
292.
293. "It was either that or stay there waiting for you to get up here on your own and letting the guys you were searching get away." Ivan retorted.
294.
295. "She isn't saying anything." Kara called out, getting the three Adepts to calm down and pointed at Mia. "She just keeps staring at that beacon."
296.
297. "What?!" Garet yelled and stared at the beacon. "It's too late! The Lighthouse has already been lit!"
298.
299. "How is it possible?! The beacon cannot be lit without the Mercury Star!" Mia added, still in shock.
300.
301. "...The Elemental Stars were stolen from Sol Sanctum on Mt. Aleph." Ivan stated. Noticing the look on Garet's face, he added. "She was going to find out anyway."
302.
303. Mai quickly turned to look at the three male Adepts. "Are you healers from Sol Sanctum?"
304.
305. "Not really." Issac shook his head. "We came from a village called Vale to recover the three Elemental Stars. The village is also close to Mt. Aleph."
306.
307. "Our village was there to protect Sol Sanctum but the Stars were stolen." Garet added.
308.
309. "That sounds just like my clan... I have failed in the one duty placed upon me... This is terrible." Mia looked down.
310.
311. "Isaac! Garet!" A female voice yelled and the eight looked at the opposite side.
312.
313. On the elevator was a girl around the age of the four Adepts with reddish brown hair and eyes, wearing a pink shirt with long sleeves, a brown skirt and leather breastplate, a purple cape and a pair of brown boots. Besides her was an elderly man wearing robes with a brown cloak on top, his hair and beard gray, and his eyes blue. In front of the two were two other people, a blonde haired woman with red eyes wearing a battle dress of sorts, boots and gloves, her exposed arms appearing almost like reptilian scales from her reddish skin. The man, had brown eyes and hair, the latter tied in a ponytail, wearing a cloth like a side cape, light brown pants, gloves, shoes and shirt, his breastplate and belt colored green. His eyes widened as he stared at Isaac. "So it's you, Isaac!"
314.
315. "Felix!" Isaac said, taking a step forward.
316.
317. "Heh heh! Those kids are still alive? You came all this way to save Jenna and Kraden?" The woman said, looking more amused than anything else.
318.
319. "Who are they?" Kara asked, whispering.
320.
321. "I'll explain later." Will whispered.
322.
323. Garet: "That's not all...We're after the Elemental Stars!" Garet added, glaring at the woman.
324.
325. "In other words, they've come to stop us. Then we have no choice...Let's take care of them now, before they can do any harm!" The woman began walking, looking ready to attack the eight when a voice stopped her.
326.
327. "Menardi... Wait!" The owner of the voice walked out from behind the large sphere which was the beacon. His hair was silvery blue and his eyes were red like the woman's. But his skin was blue unlike the woman, Menardi's skin. He wore a sleeveless armor, white pants, a pair of iron boots, arm braces and a light blue cape. His arms also showed an almost reptilian scale quality except he had spikes shown on his shoulders.
328.
329. Menardi stopped and stared at the man. "Oh, Saturos...They want to..."
330.
331. "I heard everything. They were lucky to survive the eruption of Mt. Aleph. You have endured so much, and now you want to throw your lives away? Fine. If that is your wish, prepare to have it granted." Saturos smirked as he noticed Will, Kara, Pyro and Nicole. "So you four are the one Alex talked about."
332.
333. Menardi glared at the four and scowled." So those are the Interferences? Saturos, we have to kill them. Now!"
334.
335. The mention of Interferences from Menardi got a reaction from Felix, the girl behind him who was Jenna and the old man, Kraden. The latter spoke in a whisper. "So the laws of Weyard have changed."
336.
337. "That's what I plan to do, Menardi. You and Felix stay close to those two." Saturos said, walking to the center, standing in between both elevators.
338.
339. "Saturos... Are you going to fight them alone?" Menardi asked. "The numbers you're facing notwithstanding, you're facing Interferences. And we don't know what abilities they may have."
340.
341. "There's also the fact we outnumber him eight to one." Will added in his thoughts.
342.
343. "Menardi, I can't expect you to leave our hostages alone and help me, can I?" Saturos stated, still staring at the Adepts and Interferences.
344.
345. "Umm...That's true..."
346.
347. "Besides, I want to see how much their powers have developed and I could also see what those Interferences are made of." Saturos added.
348.
349. "Are you sure about this, Saturos?"
350.
351. "Leave me be! Head for the next lighthouse--now!" Saturos said, making it clear he wouldn't talk about this anymore.
352.
353. Menardi, simply turned to face Jenna. "Come here, child..." However the girl didn't move, causing Menardi to scowl. "Do you mean to defy me? I should teach you a lesson, child, but..." She glanced at Felix. "Felix, I'd get your sister to obey me, if you hope to keep her from harm."
354.
355. "Jenna, please...Just do as she says for now." Felix pleaded.
356.
357. "Felix..."
358.
359. "It's all right, Jenna." Kraden assured the girl.
360.
361. "Isaac and Garet shouldn't have come after us... And those Interferences... They probably even know what our plans are." Felix commented as he ushered Jenna and Kraden on to the elevator. He then got on the elevator, followed by Menardi
362.
363. Jenna looked over to where the four Adepts were, more focused on Isaac and Garet. "I'm sorry, Isaac, Garet..."
364.
365. "I'm counting on you!" Menardi said as the elevator began moving down.
366.
367. "Isaac! Garet! Don't die!" Kraden bellowed out as the elevator went out of their view.
368.
369. "Jenna... Kraden!" Garet began moving but was stopped by Isaac. "Let go, Isaac!"
370.
371. "Your friend is smarter than you. If you want to save them, you'll have to beat me, first!" Saturos said.
372.
373. "No! Get back!" Mai said suddenly, startling the others. This gave Garet the chance to push Isaac away but stopped walking after a few steps.
374.
375. "What's the matter!" Saturos asked in a mocking tone
376.
377. Garet looked nervous as he explained himself. "Saturos is extremely powerful. I could sense it when I faced him."
378.
379. "You have to be very careful when fighting him...We have to match his strength..." Ivan added, nodding.
380.
381. "There's only one of him and eight of us. No offense but you're overestimating his strength." Kara replied.
382.
383. Saturos glared at Kara. "Don't get cocky. Match me? Pah! You think you can match the great Saturos? It doesn't matter if there's fifty of you."
384.
385. "Things are different this time, Saturos." Isaac unsheathed his sword and pointed it at the enemy Adept. "We'll stop you this time."
386.
387. "You overestimate your chances. Fine then...I'll just teach you all a lesson!" Saturos unsheathed his own weapon, a sword with a red blade. He began advancing, his body glowing with immense power. However at that instance, he began stumbling but managed to keep his balance, quickly turning towards the sphere.
388.
389. This didn't escape Mia's gaze. "What's happened? Saturos is moving strangely."
390.
391. "What's this!? The light of Mercury... It's weakening my Psynergy! I must finish this quickly... Come on, fools!" Saturos said, quickly facing the eight and launching a large bunch of fireballs towards them.
392.
393. Just after Saturos stumbled and before his attack, Will also stared at the sphere, the light affecting his as well. The hydromancer could feel it changing him as his own body began to glow. After being hit by the Psynergy attack, Will raised his arm, releasing some blue dust that floated over to Nicole, healing her injuries.
394.
395. Kara herself also found herself affected by the Light of Mercury. Unlike Will, she didn't feel neither stronger nor weaker, but she could feel a green glow around her, her own magic swelling up inside. After the fireball assault, Kara looked over at the others. The attack had hit them hard, affecting Mia and Will the most. Still, after seeing Will still standing up, she motioned her arm at the water Adept and yelled. "Purity!" Water was shot out from the palm of her hand, purer than the clearest spring, revitalizing Mia's energy and increasing her stamina.
396.

398.
399. Nicole wasn't very pleased at how their identities as Interferences were already known by the antagonist of this world. But this wasn't the time to ponder abut why and how, as it was time to help out the Adepts and taking on Saturos.
400.
401. Before they could do any movement however, the powerful man already unleashed a fiery rain upon them. Even with the light of Mercury decreasing his powers, he still packed quite a punch.
402.
403. Nicole soon stood up once again as she drew out her bo staff., but was surprising by the healing dust that started to cover her body. Looking next to her she could see that the source of such magic was Will. Was he always able to do that? Maybe it's not the adepts of this world the only ones affected by the Lighthouse, she thought.
404.
405. With most of the damage gone, she quickly rose her arm. The cirrus clouds quickly formed around it, electricity crossing through her body. A thundercloud soon was casted above her then immediately followed by a lighting strike coming out of it and directed straight to Saturos.
406.
407. ====
408.
409. Even with the lighthouse weakening him like it did with Saturos, that didn't mean Pyro wasn't going to be able to help out in the fight. With the fireballs flying toward him with a wave of his arms the fireballs flew harmlessly to the side. "If it comes to fire I am not going to lose to an asshole like you." Pyro said with a small grin as fire appeared around his arms.
410.
411. Pyro charged in and threw several punches right at Saturos trying to keep him occupied at least.
412.
