  1. The fire sword flew horizontally.
  2.
  3. The seventy meter blade roared with flames and the sound of it slicing the air added a
  4. frighteningly deep noise.
  5.
  6. This was the same threat as placing a building on its side and swinging it.
  7.
  8. As Kamijou flew through the air, he clenched his fist with desperate conviction.
  9.
  10. “Ohhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!”
  11.
  12. They clashed.
  13.
  14. The instant the right fist struck the fire sword, the huge blade broke in two. The outer half
  15. of the blade spun through the air and stabbed into the one-armed giant’s chest.
  16.
  17. That giant screamed and collapsed.
  18.
  19. The flames of the sword’s bottom half had been extinguished. Kamijou crashed into it and
  20. rolled across it, but he did not have time to take a breather. Imagine Breaker’s power
  21. continued to destroy the giant sword.
  22.
  23. It felt like running across a collapsing stone bridge.
  24.
  25. He desperately ran toward the base of the sword and the pitch-black giant’s arm, but
  26. Marian Slingeneyer interrupted.
  27.
  28. “Cut away heaven of Christianity. Summon Abaddon, king of evil consumption”
  29.
  30. A great number of black objects formed a cloud in front of him. It was a swarm of tens or
  31. even hundreds of thousands of locusts. The brown girl rode the swarm like it was cloud
  32. in a picture book and it carried her to the giant sword that continued to be destroyed.
  33.
  34. “Marian!!”
  35.
  36. “Let it end, you brat. Just like our hopes were taken from us for someone’s personal
  37. convenience!!”
  38.
  39. Their gazes clashed between them.
  40.
  41. Kamijou forgot all about the crumbling footing approaching from behind and he clenched
  42. his fist with all his might as he faced the enemy before him.
  43. A voice answered him.
  44.
  45. “Cut away Takama-ga-hara of Shinto. Summon Yomotsu-Shikome, the group of black
  46. impurities.”
  47.
  48. Kamijou saw a great wave of black coal tar rapidly approaching.
  49.
  50. It was entirely composed of long, black hair belonging to filthy women. Their slender,
  51. branch-like arms could be seen sticking through the gaps in the wave.
  52.
  53. Kamijou did not know, but this came from the legend of the infinite impurities of the
  54. Yomi-no-Kuni and its master Izanami taking human form. This power was the source of
  55. all people’s death in Japanese mythology.
  56.
  57. But not knowing may have been the better option.
  58.
  59. One was happier not knowing certain things, just as Izanagi’s realization of the truth had
  60. opened the furnace of death. In his ignorance, Kamijou was able to slam his fist straight
  61. forward.
  62.
  63. With the sound of a large amount of human hair being swallowed by a bath drain, the
  64. black wave parted down the middle.
  65.
  66. However, Marian Slingeneyer may have expected that.
  67.
  68. She waited beyond the wave with the gold sword in both hands. She swung it horizontally
  69. as if to lop off Kamijou’s head.
  70.
  71. A high pitched sound rang out as Kamijou’s right fist made it in time. Marian’s Dáinsleif
  72. broke at the base and the blade spun and broke to pieces as it fell.
  73.
  74. Everything came to a stop for a moment and Marian spoke quietly from close range.
  75.
  76. “She was our hope.” Her sticky words oozed out. “We had hopeless dreams and perhaps
  77. we should have simply given up, but we were drawn in by the special abilities of Magic
  78. God Othinus!! It was because of her that we kept from going mad! It was because of her
  79. that we made it this far!!”
  80.
  81. Those words reminded Kamijou of a certain mother and child.
  82.
  83. The young magician known as Fertility Goddess Freyja had met an unreasonable fate
  84. before even being born and she had seen no good will or hope anywhere in the world. To
  85. her, Othinus may indeed have been something like a spider web. That child had been
  86. willing to do anything to save the mother who had unfairly lost her life.
  87.
  88. [...]
  89.
  90. His right fist’s destruction of Dáinsleif had helped him forget, but Marian had already
  91. swung the sword.
  92.
  93. In that case, she only needed to speak the proper words to send in the fury of an “ending”.
  94.
  95. “Cut away Amaravati of Indian mythology. Summon Vishnu Avatara, the ever-changing
  96. god!!”
