I'm writing to let you know I have witnessed a crime yesterday. When I was walking with my dog, there was an old lady walking in front of me. She had big gucci bag that seemed rather expensive. Suddenly, a young man ran out of a back alley. He headed towards that woman, grabbed the bag and pushed the women to the ground.
I was surprised and scared a little bit. The lady was very shocked and scared but she didn't let go of her bag. She and the young man were fighting for the bag. I quickly approached the woman, pushing the man away, trying to make him let go of the woman's bag. But he was much stronger than me. I was trying to scream for help and I thought that people would soon come, but pedastrians were just walking along, paying no attention to us!
I was so furious and shocked that nobody wants to help! Finally, we managed to discourage the robber, he let go of with the bag and ran away into the alley he had come from. No one chased him!
This is the reason why the number of crime acts has been increasing in these difficult times.
