- “Wonderful!” the man replied as the two took their positions on opposite sides of the arena. “Also, this will be a special kind of battle. You see the briefcase hanging from the ceiling? I want you to try to use the ladder to grab it.” He paused for a moment to make sure she understood. “Now when I say you grab it, I don’t mean that one of your Pokemonn does it for you. I mean that you yourself have to grab it. You can use any of your Pokemon to defend yourself while my Pokemon tries to stop you… speaking of which…” he pulled a Pokeball off of his belt. “Go Venom!”
- Out of the ball came a strange creature the likes of which Yellow had never seen. It was a black mass of goo in a humanoid shape with a jaw filled with jagged fangs. The creature turned back to the man who in turn gave it a quick nod, and then quickly turned back its head to give Yellow and Pika a snarl.
