  1. Robert Gardios says, "Aye. learnin' geology an' astrology will 'elp ya out quite ah bit."
  2.
  3. Robert Gardios says, "Oh there's mah boy."
  4.
  5. The strange, ghastly figure had caught his attention at first. Drawing him closer towards the two as his movements diverted from his original path. Leading him to stand side by side with Klyne, curious to hear more about what Robert would have to say about the topic of opening a rift and more.
  6.
  7. Coincidentally, Boreas fell in line with the very cause of magics. A sacred art that only a few have mastered or even learned how to manipulate. An art lost to time as most magi's weren't capable of achieving the proficient magic itself.
  8.
  9. Fifth circle allows conversion, bringing forth the ability to convert the energy within a being throughout a certain stream, therefore transporting the individual or individuals who wished to pass through. Through the conjuration of the sixth circle, the portal itself. The process is completed.
  10.
  11. Memorizing the entirety of the end of the lesson, a demonstration was brought forth, showing a distant land where a large pasture laid.
  12.
  13. Raising a hand, Boreas begged a question. "Could you quickly go over the first circle to fourth? I'm really interested in this field of magic if I'm being honest."
  14. (Boreas)
  15.
  16. Sigismund cos Gardios says, "Oh. Good day, father."
  17.
  18. Klyne Altrothe says, "Hum..."
  19.
  20. Robert Gardios says, "Hah, aye. Ah could go back over it."
  21.
  22. Boreas says, "Much appreciated."
  23.
  24. Robert Gardios asks, "What about you Sigismund, ya interested in learnin' wayfindin'?"
  25.
  26. Sigismund cos Gardios says, "I-"
  27.
  28. Sigismund cos Gardios asks, "...Isn't that something that grandfather did?"
  29.
  30. Robert Gardios says, "Aye, Thorn was tha one who taught me."
  31.
  32. Boreas says, "Mmm, I believe that Thorn was the previous chieftain of Moxtli."
  33.
  34. Boreas says, "I believe..."
  35.
  36. Robert Gardios says, "'E was."
  37.
  38. Robert wipes away his runes he had drawn. Beginning his explanation once more. The fingertip glowing with an azure fire once more as he begins drawing all over again.
  39.
  40. "There's six circles 'n' ah glyph ta wayfindin'. In order o' what yer drawin' they are as follows. Tha Radial Glyph itself. Which dictates where yer wayfindin' is drawin' mana from. Generally this'll be from yerself and those that yer taking through yer portal with ya. But ya could use tha plants around ya or even crystals."
  41.
  42. The glyph is drawn as he explains, much slower than his actual wayfinding runewriting pace. And he elaborates juust a bit more. Since he's now explaining it to his son.
  43.
  44. "Tha supportin' weave o' tha glyph is where tha majority o' yer circle is, tha runes are tha parameters tha decide what yer runes do, an' when they activate."
  45.
  46. He pauses for a moment to give Sigismund timeto catch up with his word vomit.
  47.
  48. "Tha first rune circle yer gonna be putting in, is tha Netherworld circle. This establishes ah connection ta tha spirit world. Without this, none o' tha properties o' tha other circles'll work."
  49.
  50. Another brief pause is given as he draws out the circle in his glyph. The next circle, and all circles after, are placed directly on top of one another.
  51.
  52. "Tha second circle is territory, this is yer rough map o' where yer goin. Ya put in yer coordinates fer where ya wanna go, and if ya activate tha runes with just these..."
  53.
  54. The portal flares to life, showing a large, far away birds eye view of Osrona, as if they were looking down on it from the eyes of an actual bird.
  55.
  56. The window closes, and Robert begins explaining once more.
  57.
  58. "Yer third 'n' fourth circles are travel an' interpolation. Travel makes yer path from yer current position ta the coordinates ya inputted, and interpolation automatically dodges any obstacles ya may have naturally run into in tha spirit world. Both o' these are automatic, long as ya got yer calculations right."
  59.
  60. He looks at his son, and the older Drakanite with a smile.
  61.
  62. "Any questions so far?"
  63. (Robert Gardios)
  64.
  65. Sigismund blinked. Well, this was happening he supposed-
  66.
  67. He takes out a different notepad, scribbling down certain phrases and points he found interesting and important as he followed after his fathers words, attempting to commit the movements of his finger. Drawing glyphs and runes was second nature to him- that part wouldn't be too hard.
  68.
  69. Everything else however? Well...He could barely make heads and tails of it and only because there was talks of runes and glyphs. He was a trained artificier and he believed himself worth his salt at least. Not that he managed to create anything spectacular yet, sadly...
  70.
  71. He would get there however! One leg at a time. For now however? He'd keep taking those notes.
  72.
  73. "Er...A few father but don't let me interrupt your lesson with the gentleman here. I can just ask you later."
  74.
  75. The other man was no doubt here for an actual lesson. He just stumbled upon this. Still, an opportunity to learn was always something he'd take.
  76. (Sigismund cos Gardios)
  77.
  78. Satisfied that Robert had set the time aside to go over the lesson of wayfinding with himself brought a certain level of joy and depression that he hadn't felt in a long time.
  79.
  80. Studying.
  81.
  82. Though the end results were bountiful, the entire ordeal of picking up something brand new to reverse engineer it, earning the fundamental source of it's intricate level would never fail to aggravate him. But it made the journey all worth it in the end.
  83.
  84. Keen serpentines followed the Gradios's actions. As they traced the air with the Radial Glyph. He spoke out, gathering a bit of detail from the action itself. "So it's a type of medium then?"
  85.
  86. Curiosity tugged away at him as he continued to run over their detailed instructions of how to achieve the act itself.
  87.
  88. "The first circle was to establish a connection to the spirit world, enabling a through connection to the unseen world to enable transportation from one point to another." he summariazed aloud. "The second is to have a general understanding of where you'd wish to transport yourself or others to, as for the third and foruth."
  89.
  90. He hummed, drawing the blade of his digit against the line of his chin. "I believe that's the most intricate part throughout the process. To understand the location in itself of point A and B. Wielding a fine understanding of the X Y and Z vectors of the position of where you stand, from where you want to teleport to." He believed that was the case, as if one simple calculation was wrong. A wayfinder would find themselves within a wall, or at the bottom of the ocean, even within the raging lava of a volcano!
  91.
  92. "Fifth also seems tricky as you'd be passing through a specific stream.." his digit tapped along his visage. "Lifestream? It does connect throughout the spirit world I believe." Lulling over as his head bounced side to side. "And the sixth is simply the portal itself? So that's about as hard as the first circle if I believe."
  93.
  94. Popping forward with a joyous step, the corner of his lip jerked to the side.
  95.
  96. "Sounds about right, right?" he wondered.
  97. (Boreas)
  98.
  99. Robert Gardios says, "Well, honestly tha fourth fifth 'n' sixth circles are mostly automated, yer gonna be drawing tha same rune every time."
  100.
  101. Robert Gardios says, "It's yer coordinates that are tha tricky part."
  102.
  103. Robert Gardios says, "If ya get it wrong, yer probably gonna fall ta death. "
  104.
  105. Boreas says, "Or end up inside of a wall."
  106.
  107. Robert Gardios says, "Aye."
  108.
  109. Boreas asks, "Heh, I see. I'm guessing that the library here offers information about the glyphs?"
  110.
  111. Boreas says, "Also, it's good to know that fourth, fifth, and sixth are mostly automated.. Makes life alot easier."
  112.
  113. Robert Gardios says, "Ah well, it's just what ah've been drawing. Tha complicated part is making tha coordinates inta runes fer yer circle."
  114.
  115. Robert Gardios says, "Ah've had over ah decade o' practice so it's easy fer mer but."
  116.
  117. Robert Gardios says, "It'll be real tough at first."
  118.
  119. Boreas says, "I believe it. I'll take my time, though I find myself to be a fast learner."
  120.
  121. Robert clasps Sigismund on the shoulder.
  122. (Robert Gardios)
  123.
  124. Boreas says, "Anyway, I do appreciate all the help Robert. Really do."
  125.
  126. Robert Gardios says, "Son, if ya wanna learn more, practice these runes first, afore ah show ya how ta do tha last two. Don't want ya dyin' from an unfortunate fall."
  127.
  128. Robert Gardios says, "Aye s'no problem."
  129.
  130. Boreas asks, "Any suggestions on how I should start practicing?"
  131.
  132. Boreas asks, "Perhaps, attempting to throw a rock through the portal?"
  133.
  134. Boreas asks, "Or maybe a pet?"
  135.
  136. Robert Gardios says, "Heh, no. Ah recommend not opening tha portal at all. It could automatically suck ya through. Just practice getting yer coordinates down."
  137.
  138. Robert Gardios says, "Ah can't stress how long ah practiced afore ah was told ta try using tha portals fer myself by my Pa."
  139.
  140. Eichen Dusk says, "Greetings..."
  141.
  142. Robert Gardios says, "Once ya can calculate tha coordinates in under ah minute. Then try openin' ah portal."
  143.
  144. Boreas says, "Huh.. Did not expect that."
  145.
  146. Boreas says, "Thanks for the advice man."
  147.
  148. Robert Gardios says, "Aye, no trouble."
  149.
  150. Sigismund cos Gardios says, "...That was something."
