  1. Testing is the key part of any successful migration. The more extensive testing a client does, the less chance there will be of server migration issues. It will also help to catch any issues in the destination environment. Once an issue is identified, it can be resolved proactively rather than reactively. Issues that are tackled reactively, rather than proactively, stand a greater chance of being more complex and troublesome to other elements.

  3. We would recommend apportioning a significant amount of time for testing. This should not be part of the migration cost as it falls within client remit.
