  4. Hello! Thanks for taking the time to read my first script! This is supposed to be a sort of escapist kinda audio where the you and the listener are best friends in a war. All genders are left vague, so it’s up to you what it’ll be. Also, if you want there to be more gender specific stuff, feel free to modify it! As long as you mention it’s been modified, then cool. Also, don’t be afraid to put your own interpretation into the work, like adding names if you want, or some changes to dialogue, etc., to make it feel more real, and personal.

  8. SETUP
  9. It’s night. You and your friend are on a battlefield, where the two of you are hunkered down in a ruined building to avoid the gunfire. The battle’s at a standstill, so it’s no use going anywhere right now.
  10. The listener is your best friend from before you both joined the army, and they’ve been injured. After some basic first aid, they should be fine, and you just have to wait until help can arrive.

  14. Sound effects are optional, but highly recommended for immersion

  24. Also, I wanted this to be kinda long, so feel free to put some breaks in the dialogue wherever it feels natural, and just have the ambience.

  40. Hey, it’s me, I’m back!

  42. *you approach, walking sounds optional*

  44. What did I see? Well, it wasn’t great, I’ll tell ya that. It’s pretty much still hell out there so it’s a good thing I was able to drag you into this building here. I think this was a shop of some kind, but It’s hard to tell now.

  46. *You sit down with the listener, setting your rifle against some rubble*
  47.  
  48. How’s that leg feeling?
  49. Better? Good. At least there’s that. Is the splint holding up?
  50. *You inspect your handiwork, possible fabric sound effects*

  52. Alright, looks good.
  53. Oh, hush. You’ll be better in no time, ya big baby.
  54. *laugh*
  55. I know, I know. Just messin’ with ya.

  57. * explosion sound in the distance, and maybe some dust and small rocks falling sounds*

  59. Brrr (or whatever noise you make when cold)
  60. I’m gonna move a bit closer to you, okay? It’s getting cold out here, and getting sick is the last thing we need.

  62. *you cuddle up to the listener, with some fabric sounds*
  63.  
  64. Here, I have an idea.

  66. *you rummage around in your pack, and bring out a folded blanket, then cover the both of you*
  67.  
  68. Yeah, field blankets aren’t the best, but they’ll work when you need ‘em.

  70. *some time of just cuddling sounds*

  74. While I was out looking, I radioed in to HQ, they said they won’t be able to extract us for a while, not sure how long that is.
  75. *sigh*

  77. Our area isn’t active, but all around it is too hot. So, we’ll just have to hold out until the fighting dies down. It’d be suicide to try and get through on our own, especially with your leg bein’ as it is. So, we can wait it out.

  79. *the listener asks you to leave them behind and save yourself*
  80. Leave you here? The hell are you talking about? No way I’d do that. You’ll be fine, I’ll make sure of it.
  81. *a bit of time with ambience*

  83. Hey…
  84. Do you remember, back home when we used to explore the forests outside the village?
  85. Yeah, you used to bring your dad’s BB gun to “protect me from monsters”. *laughs*

  87. *your voice becomes a bit more serious as you remember*
  88.  
  89. And there was that one time, when the fog was really heavy.
  90. My mom told me we shouldn’t go out, we’d get lost for sure.
  91. *small laugh*
  92.  
  93. And we did. We were having fun at first, climbing fallen trees, sliding down hills, we went further than we ever did before.
  94.  
  95. But eventually I realized we were lost, and you saw me start crying. You said not to worry, You told me we’d be okay. I knew then that you’d keep me safe.
  96. You made me feel a lot better.
  97.  
  98. Then, once we got closer to home, and we were so close to being back, it started Pouring rain on us!
  99. *laughing*
  100.  
  101. You grabbed my hand and we ran into that abandoned shed, laughing our asses off.
  102. We waited in there for the storm to pass, pretty much just like we are now…
  103. *zone out in thought for a second*
  104.  
  105. Anyway, the point is, you’ve always been there for me, you always used to fight my bullies, and stand up for me when no one else would.
  106.  
  107. So when the war started, I promised your dad that I’d bring you home safe, and I will.
  108. I’ve got you, and I won’t leave you behind.
  109.  
  110. No, no buts. You might as well accept that you’re stuck with me.
  111. *laughs*

  116. Hey… I-… well, there was another reason why I joined the war…
  117. I just, I need you to know that I… Well,
  118. *sigh*
  119. Look, I needed to be sure you were safe because I love you, Okay?
  120.  
  121. I’ve liked you ever since we first met, but that day in the woods made me realize how much more it was.
  122. Every time you said hello to me, or smiled at me, or even said my name! It felt so… right?
  123. I dunno…

  125. *Small break*

  127. And it hurt every time I saw you dating, or whenever you talked to me about your relationship troubles…
  128. *Laughs*
  129. It feels like such a stupid thing to bring up in the middle of a warzone, but –
  130. *Surprised Kissing sounds*
  131. *after the kiss, some quiet, relieved laughs*
  132. You… You feel the same?

  134. (Jokingly mad tone)
  135. Then what took ya so long, punk-ass?
  136. *Laughing*

  139. I gotta admit though… I’ve been wanting to do that for so long… It’s hard to believe it finally happened…
