Modoff is the spiritual successor of a previous competition called The Modding Trials. The Modding Trials had some issues that prevented it from being enjoyable to everyone involved. Modoff will try to fix these mistakes.
TMT was missing mods from voting due to disorganization. Modoff will use a Google Form based submission process, unlike the email based one TMT used; it will be hard to miss anything because it will all be in the same place.
In TMT votes were deleted, miscounted and overcounted. Modoff will use a system that includes in game voting and verification to make sure every vote is legitimate, so we don't have to reset the votes like TMT did.
TMT had a lot of lag from the booths because their servers weren't good. Modoff will be hosted on a private server.
TMT had bad booths and mods. Modoff will solve that issue by using stricter rules for forge versions and for crashes and lag.
TMT had joke mods winning. Modoff does not allow joke mods to be entered at all.```
