Fanfic Saga Interlude of fate

Interlude of Fate:

  There exists multitudes of multiverses, two entities, known as the Darkness and the Light, somewhat abstract beings; have been in a deadlock for time untold. In their desire to gain power they have projected aspects of themselves, icons of their will into the Cineverse. Battling each other for dominance, each icon bore as is the tendency of the multiverse multitudes of parallel copies; or were themselves a copy of some other horror. Although unaware of it, or rather only subconsciously so, the sorceress known as Rhulan has eliminated many of the icons of the Darkness while journeying through the multiverse. The Darkness and the Light are not gods, they are not progenitors, they are beings seeking an ultimate goal, one would bring about entropy the other stagnation. Direct attempts to annihilate either one of them have failed, despite appearing at times to have worked; as only their avatars have fallen. To remove their taint from reality, to remove the threat they pose if they should ever fully entire the universe; then their icons must be eliminated.

-How’s that for an excuse to go beat the shit out of some fictional characters?

-Sounds a bit convoluted honestly.

-Why would we of all that exists even care about two tiny semi-abstracts having a pissing contest?

-So we’re also going to be hunting down “light” beings…as in good guy’s…

-I have no problem with that.

-I also have no restraint in such matters; they are after all ephemeral phantasms.

-Eh; no one reads the interludes anyway, lets just go kick some ass!
