- Hey Joey if you made it to this, thanks for taking a look at my team. Here's a list of things to note on this team:
- Deoxys-Atk always leads with almost no setbacks. Against opposing Deoxys-A or S always go for the knock off into Espeed. 80% of the time, you can get away with 100% health and if you are lucky no rocks on your side.
- If Groudon is the lead, psychoboost is always a good move to go for, anything from 45-60 is usually a sdef set. 65-75 is usually defensive or offensive, in which a second boost just kills.
- Again going for attacking moves with deoxys is always a positive turn one unless for some reason you NEED rocks (Lunala, Hooh, Lugia)
- If Deoxys-S is the lead against and you need rocks, more than likely it will go for taunt so knock off into espeed is usually the best play.
- ---------------------------------------
- Enough of about the lead, the rest is more or less self explanatory.
- Mawile is EV'd to 100% live a focus blast from Geomancy Xerneas and iron head 100% kills
- Kyogre's toxic can be used to catch rockpolish groudon on switch. otherwise, Icebeam does the trick.
- Arceus is bulky set and can set up on a variety of mons. A big one that people tend to fall for is Groudon. Especially rocks Groudon. The most reoccuring situation is turn 1: Groudon Comes out and rocks or plume psycho boost brings him to around 50 or more. Arceus switches in after Deoxys faints. Typically you risk a chance of burn if hes plume, but it tends to be worth it. Arceus can SD on groudon and espeed most of tier.
- Now the most controversial move is probably Flamethrower on Genesect. I actually tend to put explosion on top of that slot since I barely find myself using it. Explosion is also a very good way to deal with a Ho-oh, Kyogre and Groudon that get out of control.
- Finally Darkrai is the hit or miss mon. Typically you almost always want to nasty plot with darkrai. However with hypnosis, it makes it so much harder. Yveltal is typically a switch in for darkrai before the hypnosis. after 2 turns of sleep +2 Sludgebomb has a good chance of killing defensive Yveltal. And of course kills xerneas if it switches in at 100%
- This is sorta my pride and joy team as it is one of the strongest teams I've ever built but I recently built a decent laddering team beyond this one so I don't mind others knowing the sets. Now this team obviously comes with a big flaw. Rock polish groudon and Lucario have the ability to sweep the whole team if key members of the team are killed. I personally haven't tested it yet. But replacing Darkrai with a roar defensive lugia would round this team very well. guaranteeing that Set up mons dont have a chance to sweep. (unfortunately I would have to run hazard control if I did)
- I personally asked for advice on the Rate your team channel but received no comments. So if you have any insights on the team I would like to hear your point of view. You can message me about it through discord. I'm Yellow in your sub list in discord.
