- Inante's next stop was the Church Library, Thousands of books that were religious documents, Spiritual advice, Charts of the stars and most certainly tomes of magic, and various forms of Exorcism.
- Inante had to explore just how exactly he could manifest this Holy star Light magic, And become a wielder of its power. As he found a book pertaining to the stars magic quite easily after flipping through pages he happened upon a book that spoke of the Nature of Light magic.
- " 'Light moves at a speed that blinds, space and time are secondary to the speed in which light travels and reflects upon itself. This world is cascaded in beautiful light. Learning to bend and shape it is the beginning. Learning how to bend and shape all Natural light is just the middle, And the Advanced? TO bend the very light from the stars itself. A power that can only manifest in very few chosen wielders.' "
- As Inante continued to read about the various theories of Light magic he began to practice it himself. Conjuring holy magic into a simple orb. Holy magic had simple difference within its capabilities it was able to defend against all manner of threats.
- But Light magic specialized in its offensive abilities. Able to attack foes at blinding speeds. As Inante kept the book opened he'd begin adding runes to mix. Drawing the rune for light enchantments aiming to enchant his magic to convert it into pure light.
- As he continued scribing he'd focus in on honing the orbs shape and size, Altering it to see what was the optimal settings and parameters to set through his abilities as a Rune Casting specialist.
- After making some adjustments and tweaks he was finally able to create natural light from his Holy magic, It required a lot of mana however, The surge of magic was hard to control and hadn't it been for his runes being ease to dispel he found himself at a loss for how he could conjure the light of his own volition. Puzzled he looked to the door to see Jamey enter.
- "Ah hello Acolyte." he said warmly. A hood covering his face, and what appeared to be a bandage around his eye?
- (Inante Arl Salis)
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- She came in and gave a brief bow, "Hello sir, I don't mean to interrupt. I'm just looking for some tomes on holy magic, there was this woman earlier today, I got to see it firsthand for the first time... It was beautiful!"
- She looked effortlessly if she could, not having much luck she asked to Inante, "What are you here for then?"
- (Acolyte Jamey)
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- The Orb of Holy mana began to dissipate as it slowly faded back into mana. The young Priest looked towards the Acolyte with his one good eye. Looking towards her with a smile.
- "Something quite the same actually, I'm trying to expand my knowledge of holy magic by Learning Light magic." His voice was a bit hoarse, Clearly from some strenuous activities from earlier.
- As he was enthralled in his own research he left it at that. While pointing towards the books and tomes of Holy magic Lied. "I'd teach you myself if I was not busy but I'm afraid I'll have to save it for another time."
- He'd just got done communicating with his star after all, The stinking burn of his skin still remembered the Celestial bodies presence within his mind.
- (Inante Arl Salis)
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- She'd turn away, still a bit worried, "R-Right, sorry then brother, thanks for the help finding the books!"
- She turned then to grab a book or two regarding the holy rights. She opened a few, set particularly on manifesting holy power. She took some time to read. She looked it up and down, overwhelmed in some capacity, before she looked up from her book then back to Inante.
- "Wh-When you're not busy, could you help me learn? I-I need to learn."
- (Acolyte Jamey)
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Inanis nodded with a smile. "Of course I'll teach you, you need not even ask, Anyone whos devout enough to join the church and learn the Codex is worthy of learning."
- A spin of his chair before he got back to his research, There was something he was missing here...If holy magic was the expression of protection, What would Light be? How could he project such a powerful force and control it to his own senses?
- Such a force was still a bit beyond common understanding but Inante wanted so badly to perfect his abilities. Continuing to flip through pages Inante would once again summon forth a runic Circle of gold, Allowing for an orb to be shaped from his holy mana.
- "Now lets try this again until I can perfect it." He reached deep within himself, Placing both hands beside the orb that he summoned on the table and first a few sparks, Flickered between his palms As he aimed to reach beyond his understanding of the Holy element, To reachinto his connection with Alpha and pull upon that thread until he could manifest it truly.
- The sparkles of light got bigger, Instead of glittering bolts they grew to large open sparks that cracked the air when they appeared. One by one they entered the orb, Spreading a new mana within them.
- "No the shape isn't right...within an orb it cannot retain its shape with so much power stored in it....Perhaps a differing shape. Something that will allow it to travel faster and smoother...
- Inante racked his brain for a while before taking a glance towards an ornate sword that Hung above the library wall, And as he peered at it he marveled at its shape before taking a nod.
- His runes went to work, Inspecting and analyzing the nature weight and speed light magic can travel he began to create something he could use to make the spell retain its shape.
- As he finished. Elongated blade like shape of the weapon was created... The light magic could cycle through it moving it at great speeds beyond what Inante could fathom. A powerful and piercing strike that would leave anyone hurting with enough of these.
- Now having successfully explored the proper spell shape he moved on to the manifestation portion of his research, He'd have to learn how to manifest Light magic before instantly shaping it into the shape of a blade....A trying task indeed.
- (Inante Arl Salis)
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- She'd pull out a little book of hers with holy runes in it, "A spell's manifestation can be stimulated with runes. If you know how to use them properly, the proper inscription could directly translate to create your desired effects. The rune may be a little more... Detailed... Than can be expected, but it's a good way to practice holding and stabilizing new spellcraft from what I've seen. Th-Then again I don't know too many spells."
- She'd pause for a second before noting then, "O-Or unlike runecasting, and basing the spell's support-structure on inscriptions you could instead cast it normally but have an unintegrated rune used to maintain it... Like the way you put a cake in the pan, the spell / cake could rise on its own, but without the pan / rune it'll just kind've go all over the place. I-If you know what I mean. Purely hypothetical of course."
- "I-If you need help with the runes, I-I'm more than willing to do so."
- (Acolyte Jamey)
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Inante would just stare at the information he was getting absorbing it into his mind none of it new to him but he understood most of what she spoke of after all that was his next step..."I was simply mapping out a structure I was planning on doing it that way haha. But thank you for the advice." his voice was filled with Levity after all he'd been quite skilled with Rune crafting for a while, Although not quite a master.
- "I'm sure you'll make a great magi some day. Quite like your analogies. It makes quite a lot of sense actually" He'd continue to work on his spells, Placing the books he'd used back on the shelves he began to make is way outside. After all it wouldn't be right to practice any type of spell craft indoors.
- "Be sure to catch up with your reading of the codex okay? I think pretty soon we'll have a sermon to bring upon us the new era. More people need to be connected to their stars than ever I feel.." He'd begin to make his way out of the Church unless anyother thing needed to be discussed.
- (Inante Arl Salis)
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- She gave a bow, and an eager look, "Thank you, a-and yes. I'll surely try my hardest to be the best I can. All starts with, reading though."
- She'd lay out all the holy magic sources she could find and would read through them, looking up to Inante occasionally and speaking to him, "I've been keeping up with my studies though yes, feel free to quiz me! I've read it front and back-!" (she continued on for a bit, she was clearly confident in her familiarity with the holy rites of the codex.
- She'd continue to read then, still studying to learn this form of magic, occasionally making small gestures with her hands, almost as if to simulate the movements necessary for spells; even if she didn't quite understand it. (this is why to her runecasting is so much more simple, with typical casting there are unspoken techniques, meanwhile a rune is all a rune is; everything it does it says if you look close enough)

- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Seeing Inante leave made her a bit anxious, she felt like a burden sometimes, and this was one of those moments. She feels better after a bit of silence though, this being a familiar environment, when her mother worked with the church they were kind enough to let her sit in these libraries for sometimes hours.
- She read on-and-on, unrelenting in her study. After some time she tried to manifest holy magic, b-but she fell short of the mana necessary. Sh-She just couldn't muster it yet, b-but she wouldn't stop. So she stayed there and tried-... Until, she needed to stop...
- "Wow-" ,she was recovering just a bit, breathing normally again, she looked as though she had over exerted. (and there may be a bit of truth to that) She rested while she read on a bit more then... In an uninterrupted silence.
- (Acolyte Jamey)
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- She continued to read on then, fully-invested in adopting this magic. She wanted to harness it, but not for power. With a much simpler motivation, recalling the woman sometime earlier, and the way the holy magic emitted just- A calm but warm light, being around it made her feel, like she did when her mother wa- ,she stopped for a bit thinking about her mother, "I miss you mom, I-I'm learning but I don't think I-I'm learning f-fast enough. A-Am I good enou-" ,she stopped herself and wiped away what was a build-up of some tears under her eyes.
- She made a fist and said to herself, "I am!" ,she continued then, sure of her self-worth and ability. Her mother would've wanted her to face this head-on, she'd expect confidence in Jamey, and Jamey would not fault or fail. She WOULD succeed and learn holy magic! She continued reading and tried a plethora of techniques then. One-after-another as she thought them up.
- She started originally by doing as she told Inante, it didn't work, but it wasn't a failure. She tried instead to base the spell over the rune, or to have it sprawl and manifest from it. Of course it didn't work, but she didn't stop. She continued to try, but even though it wasn't working she wasn't failing.
- For her this was trial and error. Failing to cast a spell was not failure, it was a learning experience, and she would have to keep learning until she c-could... S-Succeed... It was after sometime she tried maybe, some 5 different ways over-and-over. Until it manifested briefly.
- In her hand, she place a paper that held a very detailed rune, "A-And NOW!"
- A glimmer of holy energy flickered in her hand, it vanished almost immediately. B-But despite this, "YEEEEEEEEEEEAAAA-HO!" ,she shot up with excitement, she was finally getting it!~ This was by far the most progress she'd made, and she was more than happy to continue.
- (Acolyte Jamey)
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- She was still a trying runescribe, a-and even she couldn't manifest anything beyond novice runecraft. (even with her particular proficiency with their fine calligraphy, this was a delicate and very difficult task, and as such) It wasn't long until she saw then, the many faults in her runes. Sh-She couldn't continue with runes any longer... Unfortunately... Which meant now it was up to her, she couldn't fall back on familiar ground.
- (Acolyte Jamey)
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- She got up and with 2 of the books, not wanting to take the whole library with her, she put the rest up for a bit. Taking then to just outside the church, maybe a little hands-on practice... In a... Less, very easily damage environment, if she had trouble with controlling the magic she wouldn't take chances with the books she held so dear in her childhood experience with the church.
- She took the two books out then... Preparing herself, ready to continue her training.
- (Acolyte Jamey)
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Not wanting to disrupt the 3 on the bench right of her, coming from the church she gave them a warm smile and waved, turning then to the other bench to practice. She read on-and-on... Relentless in her study to hone her holy magic ability. She'd sit and would practice then, the simplest and (to her knowledge) easiest holy magic to learn... Smite, as the spell is referred to.
- A ball of holy magic flew from her hand, immediately dissipating. She couldn't figure it out. "Like a balloon that couldn't hold air, the spell couldn't support its own shape." The analogy she made stopped her thinking for a moment. She held out two hands in a cupped or almost spherical space between them, in her mind she figured if IT couldn't itself together than SHE could help it. She would let the smite manifest again, but as it did she held it tight.
- Applying heavy pressure and sowing in a great deal of the magic she had on hand she could hold it for a minute or two, b-but it began to fade quickly before yet again dissipating. She stopped for a moment, a bit exhausted from her last attempt...
- (Acolyte Jamey)
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- She sat in-front of the fountain and read, after taking a small break, she'd occasionally devote what magic and concentration she could to letting the 'smite' manifest in her hands. She could feel with every try a little more familiarity was made.
- She took deep inhales and shaped the spell more and more, she refined her technique with every recovery and repeated trial. It was after nearly half an hour of sitting out here she manage to manifest in her hand, a-a stable replication of the smite spell. It faded and dissipated, but in the desired timespan. Which meant the spell was now CAPABLE.
- She looked on eager to hone this and continued, now with a controlled ability. (unafraid now of potentially damaging the books inside) She went back inside then, ready to continue her practice.
