Meet and Greet

Joshua goes to his meeting with The Curator and is put in a very bad situation before a deal comes into play.

Joshua is sent to a Forest at sunset here he meets with a Homunculus who is sent there to punish him for trying to make his part bigger and thinking he could meet with The Curator so easily and for trying to pull one over him with the tracker. He is grappled and tied up, with the Homunculus talking to him and lording over him while he walks around with a gun with a bayonet attached. He is pretty happy to answer any questions Joshua has but is sure to rough him up a little bit as he does. Eventually he decides to stop playing around and finish him off. He suddenly pauses mid motion. He falls a few moments later and reveals...

[Switch To Kaeru]

A man stands behind where the homunculi had been, a silenced pistol raised and a smoking barrel pointed still at where its head had been. He's tall, with deep brown skin contrasting against lightly-colored eyes. He wears a perfectly ironed black suit and vest, a navy blue tie offering the only color in the outfit aside from the lighter colors on the lower layers of the suit. Thin black lines, little tattoos perhaps, trace from the corners of his lips to the tops of his jaw, and a similar line is drawn down the center of his lower lip and continues under his chin. He lowers the weapon and goes over to Joshua. He'll crouch beside him and lift his chin with a hand so that Joshua is forced to meet his eyes. He'll be silent for a few moments, intimidating in his demeanor, before speaking to him in a Haitian accent.
"You are shorter," he will admit, "Than I thought you would be." And he will consider this for another small moment-- and then begin cutting the ropes that hold Joshua with a fancy knife from his belt.
"He is blind, for now. Come, before that changes."
He will guide Joshua to someplace safer and further from where the homunculus had been, not wanting to remain somewhere that the Curator's beacons would be likely to return to. If asked, he will give the name 'Orion'. He will respond to conversation attempts or questions, but will speak briefly, simply. Once they're nearer to the edge of the forest, close to somewhere Joshua can radio (Orion would have given him a communicator to use) for extraction, Orion turns Joshua to face him. He will provide the coordinates 44.03, -109.65 as one of the Curator's more recent facilities, and encourage him to act quickly in order to surprise him.
He will have Joshua look him in the eyes, telling him he is going to ask him a series of questions. He begins--
"Can you discern between evil and good?" And before Joshua can respond, he blinks. He will be in the same exact place, but Orion is gone, and a transport is just arriving to retrieve him. A radio is in his hand, still, from having called them. If he checks, he will discover that he was off-site for several hours that he cannot account for, and he will not recall the rest of Orion's questions, his own answers to them, or the act of calling for the transport.
