  1. 1. State your character's general concept, in terms of their intended playstyle and what it is that they're trying to accomplish.
  2.
  3. Her name is Scarlett Sandiego.
  4.
  5. A survivalist; hard to catch, hard to kill. Resourceful, sneaky, but deadly efficient. Assassin? No. Vigilante. Sometimes criminal, sometimes protector. Whatever it takes to do things right. An enigma, recognized only by her red trench coat and hat.
  6.
  7. ---
  8.
  9. 2. What's your character's home like? What made them stand out to be scouted as EGGs? Were they glad to be able to leave home to serve the League, or do they get homesick and have to come back every now and then?
  10.
  11. In a life long gone, with a name long tossed aside, she might have loved her town and the life she led. But that all went to the ditch when a small-time organized crime gang came, killed her family, and left her for dead, miles from civilization. The lot of them were all reported dead by police. She was just a child...
  12.
  13. Years passed, and at some point, reports of criminals found unconscious or bound began circulating, reports made by the would-be victims themselves. Nobody knew who or what had saved them, only a figure in red. A hunt began to find this person, only for every investigation to yield more clues. By the time she was found, nobody knew why or how, only that reports of her acts had ceased. Little could anyone have known she was picked up by EGGs.
  14.
  15. ---
  16.
  17. 3. What's the most important thing to your character that they've lost in their life? It could be a person, an opportunity, a philosophy, anything.
  18.
  19. Her life itself had been taken from her. After her father had a bum deal with an organized crime group, they took their toll in blood. Cops either couldn't or didn't help. Nothing could have saved them. After the miracle of her survival, she vowed no one would have to suffer as she suffered ever again.
  20.
  21. ---
  22.
  23. 4. What legendary does your character have? The legal legendaries are most Trios, mascot characters, (ie Mew or Jirachi), and other more "minor" legendaries. If you're unsure if a legendary is legal, ask me. What Concept does this Pact Beast represent? (Legendaries will have a single Aura, which will have effects based on this Concept. Don't worry about confining them to the ones in Blessed and the Damned) In the process of bonding with this Conceptual Pact Beast, what kind of trial did they have to overcome? (Be creative. A test of character of some sort related to the Concept is preferable to a straight trial by combat.) Despite the previous oneshot, all the legendaries are still open for use, just make sure you fluff the legend differently and have them embody a different concept. Fakemon are okay, as are especially snowflakey variants of non-legends.
  24.
  25. Beast: Lachesis
  26. Concept: Life Force; Willpower
  27.
  28. Broken, bruised, bloody, and in a pile of her own dead family in a pit in the woods, she laid there, traumatized, dying. At the time, she was such a gentle girl. Despite the dark of the crime-ridden city around her, she remained hopeful, happy. A ray of light amidst perpetually cloudy skies.
  29.
  30. The shock of the end of her theoretical life and the ebbing of her literal life faded, and she heard a voice.
  31.
  32. "Rest not, child. Your thread is not yet spent."
  33.
  34. Something in her changed, with those words. Perhaps hope, perhaps desperation. And yet, she had to live. She only had one unbroken leg, and one unbroken arm. She clawed herself out of the open mass grave, and saved herself. Wounds bandaged by the rags of the fallen, gashes cleansed in a muddy stream. She found edible plants, and recovered from the brink of death. She rested for the long, painful trudge home, and as the consciousness she couldn't guarantee would ever return began to fade, a figure came to her. A woman, in deific garb, watching over a thread which expanded in both directions, to the edges of her perspective.
  35.
  36. She introduced herself as Lachesis, the one who measured the thread of life. The one who judges the length of life. Somehow, for some reason, she had descended to see the girl survive. Lachesis gave little explanation, only assuring that this life was worth continuing. From there, the girl recovered, lived on the outskirts, and trained both body and mind to right the civil wrongs that should have killed her. With fate itself over her shoulder. She made a new name for herself, that day, as a symbol of her rebirth. Scarlett Sandiego.
  37.
  38. ---
  39.
  40. 5. What does your character hate? If they don't truly hate anything, why? Can they stay calm around it? What does your character find most satisfying to do? Do they have any hobbies?
  41.
  42. Crime. Injustice. Inaction. The failing and corruption of a system built to protect. Temperance of will allows her to quietly withhold herself if necessary, but should she weigh the worth of action as greater than obedience, she will intervene. Her satisfaction comes from the smiles of the protected and saved, even if they never see her or recognize her deed. She spends much of her time scouting and watching, but she has been known to deal a fast round of Solitaire.
  43.
  44. --
  45.
  46. 6. How did your character bond with their first Pact Beast? Do they still use that Pact Beast, or was the Pact dissolved? Did that relationship mean anything for that character?
  47.
  48. Before her life was changed forever, she had a Pact Beast. A small fae thing, as attached to flowers as she was at the time. The two were deeply attached to one another. It was not seen by the mob that abducted her and her family to bring them to their supposed doom, and was left behind as a result. She never knew what happened to it, as a later return to her old home came up empty, the whole place ransacked and abandoned, with the emblem of the mob carved into the door.
  49.
  50. ---
  51.
  52. 7. What does your character see themselves trying to accomplish in the future? How does that tie in to their work as EGGs right now? Does your character believe in destiny?
  53.
  54. She lived her life day to day striving to prevent crime "too small" for the overworked police force to engage. Since joining EGGs, work was done to "correct" her distrust for the law, to engineer her more toward straight detective duties. She submitted to this so far as the fact that they could formalize her training, improve her abilities beyond the limits of self-training and a budget of only what one can find on the street. However, some remnant of her burning desire never faded, always surfaced when times of moral questionability surfaced.
  55.
  56. She is constantly torn between moments of believing that destiny is the reason she still lives at all, and is able to prevent more tragedies such as hers, and believing that if there is such a thing as destiny, it is a cold and cruel thing. And yet, with an instrument of fate itself at her back... It was hard to question.
  57.

  59.
  60. 8. Pick a song that resonates with your character, preferably something you can link on youtube or whatnot. Why does it resonate? Don't worry about it being an outright defining "theme", it doesn't have to be that strong.
  61.
  62. Sorry not sorry. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1EIUP8tvbE

  65.
  66. 9. List any expectations you have for this SHORT CAMPAIGN, any input you want to give on the setting, and other general things here.
  67.
  68. I want to hang out with my friends again. It's okay if I'm not in, I just like being around. I do like noir-times setting with steampunk stuff going on, the like, inconsistent technology gaps and whatnot. I think I may have gone too hammy with this, but I'm cool with hammy. Hammy is fun, it's my comfort zone. I don't really know how to answer this straight.
  69.
  70. ---
  71.
  72. 10. List your availability. Currently, I, the GM, am available on Thursday nights and all day Saturday, but I'll be having my Sundays open up sometime in July or August so if that's when people are available I'll postpone the game starting until that opens up.
  73.
  74. I can't do Monday or Thursday evenings 5-8p pacific, but literally anything else is workable.
