- A team of intergalactic warriors fights to protect the universe, but the combination of three highly trained beings and one quirky young boy leaves the team struggling to overcome the dangerous scenarios that are put in front of them.
- This series is set in the fictional Beach City, where ageless alien warriors, the Crystal Gems, live in an ancient beachside temple, protecting the world from evil. They project female humanoid forms from magical gemstones that are the core of their being. The Crystal Gems are Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl and Steven, a young half-human, half-Gem boy who inherited his gemstone from his mother, the Gems' former leader Rose Quartz. As Steven tries to figure out his powers, he spends his days with his human father Greg, his friend Connie, other people in Beach City, or the other Gems, whether to help them save the world or just to hang out. He explores the abilities passed down to him by his mother, which include fusion (the ability of Gems to merge their identities and bodies to form a new and more powerful personality).
- Okay, this show is amazing I have watched all of the episodes and there are good but a few... Okay let's start of with the core of the cartoon what is it about..<br/><br/>It's about a kid named Steven, who had a mother who was a gem. But his father is human so he's a hybrid. His mother used her physical form to grant Steven life. He is escorted through life by Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl.<br/><br/>They show is something new and never has been done before (I think) <br/><br/>Okay characters.. Let's start of with Steven the man him self..<br/><br/>Steven is a fun lovable character, who is nice to everything he is learning to be a crystal gem, by progressing and learning to use his powers. One thing that makes Steven a great character is because he's believable. I have a friend who is like Steven, not telling who is he is for public reasons. Another great thing is that you see him progress from Gem glow not even able to summon is weapon... to summoning all the time when it's danger...<br/><br/>Garnet Garnet is a gem fusion from the 2 gems Ruby and Sapphire.Garnet is a calm gem, and is the leader of the group. Garnet always knows what to do when something is wrong, she always does. She is the motherly figure for Steven as she would even nearly kill her self for him.. (The episode before jail break, she told Steven to go and if Steven listened they would be dead because of the ray Peridot shot)<br/><br/>Pearl Pearl in my opinion is the worst character and one of the most hated.. Here's why, the creators use her as a meme most of the faces she makes are a omaj to memes.. Which I hate. She is also so weird and watches Steven sleep... Nice. That doesn't mean she is all bad. She is believable, because she is like the over protective mother, who always has to check on Steven. She is also well developed, as she trains everyday and is just as good as peridot is as a engineer (Peridots are made for engineering) So she is alright character.<br/><br/>Amethyst Oh Amethyst, the last character of the bunch... She is like the funny sister of the gems not really a mom as Pearl and Garnet are the ones of who look after here. Amethyst is a great character. She is lovable and she is the most human out the bunch. The thing about Amethyst is that she isn't right.. She is supposed to be massive and stuff be she isn't. She is overall a good character.<br/><br/>Okay the characters are done...<br/><br/>The animation, for the first 13 episodes wasn't that good, but is now amazing.. It is the best animated show in CN by far as it has a unique design.<br/><br/>Voice actors are amazing! They're amazing! They put effort into there roles like Heath Ledger did for the Joker role in the Dark Knight. They express who the characters are...!<br/><br/>Okay I haven't covered everything as I don't have time but, this is the last thing that makes it a nine..<br/><br/>This is the thing that disgusted me.. The uncle grandpa episode..<br/><br/>no just no. Why did they cross a good cartoon with a god awful bad one.<br/><br/>It was like they were saying... "Hmm Uncle grandpa is unpopular and has bad reviews what shall we do..?" said the board.<br/><br/>"How about we, get a popular show and do a cross over.." Said generic worker at the back of the table.<br/><br/>"GREAT! IDEA" said the Board..<br/><br/>"We have Adventure time, Regular show and Steven universe and the amazing world of gumball."<br/><br/>Adventure time got message by CN saying "Would you like uncle grandpa to be in your show?"<br/><br/>Nope- Adventure time<br/><br/>Regular show?<br/><br/>Nope- Regular Show<br/><br/>Steven Universe?<br/><br/>No- Steven Universe<br/><br/>No- Gumball<br/><br/>If you don't accept you're off the air...<br/><br/>Well I will make a edit to finish it off.. - How do i sum this up? This is the blandest, most insulting, stupidest, most stereotypical media I have ever witnessed since the toy. To make matters far, far, far worse, it is the most overrated show ever. On crappyness it almost on level with Tenn Titans Go. I feel like I am the only person on the face of this earth who has enough sense to like Adventure Time while simultaneously hating Steven Universe. All the characters are weak and unoriginal (except for pearl), the dialogue is like something out of Plan 9 from outer space, and it just makes no sense. I thought it might be good because it had Rebbecca sugar, the same genius who came up with adventure time. So to see how bad it really is, let's take apart the Pilot episode. I know I shouldn't be taking that apart because it's just pilot, but does it matter? It was stupid. It had no backstory, we're just supposed to accept the fact that these people have powers, that this thing can make you go back in time, and that they face a skull. What? A pilot episode is supposed to be the foundation for the story, while this did not. Also, one now heavily-quoted line I have never gotten was, "If every porkchop were perfect... WE WOULDN't HAVE HOT DOGS!" What does that even mean? Just because every porkchop is perfect does not mean hotdogs wouldn't exist! Seriously, go to google and look up the history of hotdogs. Does it have anything to do with porkchops? NO! This show is bad, bad, worse. 1 cent. Rebbeca Sugar, stay with adventure time!
