The Trump administration accused Russia on Thursday of executing numerous cyber attacks on American and European nuclear power plants and water and electric systems, and had the ability to shut them off at their own will. United States officials say that they viewed the attack as a warning shot from Moscow that they could disrupt the West's critical facilities in the event of a war. They said that the strikes accelerated in late 2015, during the interference of the American election.
