  3. =-=-=-=-=
  4.
  5. >find yourself driving north of town
  6. >no aim
  7. >no destination
  8. >the open road always calmed you
  9. >though today was taking it's toll
  10. >look at yourself in the rear-view mirror
  11. >average build
  12. >6/10 if sharply dressed, 5/10 on a bad day
  13. >nothing special
  14. >the cars in front of you seemed to veer off onto the side of the highway
  15. >weird
  16. >there weren't any sirens going off
  17. >wait
  18. >there was one
  19. >*Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo*
  20. >wait
  21. >that
  22. >that siren is for tornados
  23. >but there wasn't a cloud in the sky
  24. >air raid siren?
  25. >isn't that what it actually was?
  26. >oh shit
  27. >a red and orange streak was barreling through the sky at an alarming rate
  28. >from the west there was more
  29. >dozens of the things
  30. >your eyes widened while they started descending
  31. >boxed in by cars in all directions
  32. >this was bad
  33. >really bad
  34. >a loud explosion came from in front of you before flinging your car into a ditch and knocking you unconscious
  35.
  36. >wake up in a daze
  37. >the windshield was smashed and left glass everywhere
  38. >roof jutting in and stabbing into your side
  39. >it took all your strength just to get yourself unstuck and out of the car
  40. >bleeding heavily
  41. >the wound looked worse than it actually was
  42. >limp your way up towards the highway
  43. >something was in the way
  44. >a large chain link fence with green tarp on the inside
  45. >giant square with four gates
  46. >a tower in the middle
  47. >look back at the wreckage of your car
  48. >a large, onyx black mass began stalking closer and closer
  49. >your eyes shoot open fully
  50. >it's some sort of wolf with patchy, onyx black fur and horns like a demon
  51. >when it notices you've seen it is when it strikes
  52. >the giant teeth of the monster grip around your arm and pull
  53. >"AAAAAAAH!"
  54. >it keeps pulling with all it's strength
  55. >you put your all into trying to get your arm free
  56. >clawing at it's eyes
  57. >punching it
  58. >then you remember the knife in your back pocket
  59. >flick it open and jam it right into the thing's neck
  60. >the thing spasms over and over until going limp
  61. >physically pull the wolf's jaws off the arm
  62. >look down towards the trees to see dozens upon dozens of spine chilling amber eyes
  63. >slowly back up as they begin advancing from the brush
  64. >look for any escape
  65. >the gate to the chained off area is ajar slightly
  66. >rush into it and latch it shut hastily
  67. >try to find anything to help bar it
  68. >open padlock on the ground
  69. >slap that on the latch and look around for anything to staunch the bleeding on your arm and side
  70. >the tower in the middle might have a med kit
  71. >stumble up the flights of stairs
  72. >door locked
  73. >fuckme.png
  74. >how were you supposed to break open doors again?
  75. >kick it hard off to the left of where the lock is
  76. >three kicks later and it slams open
  77. >oh god
  78. >the bleeding cakes your clothes
  79. >hastily look around
  80. >med kit on wall
  81. >open it and find very few supplies
  82. >some bandage tape
  83. >thread and a needle
  84. >no gauze
  85. >"Damn it..."
  86. >wooziness is starting to set in
  87. >look around again for something
  88. >ANYTHING
  89. >a pair of beds in each corner away from you
  90. >use your knife to tear apart the sheets and get them ready for use as impromptu rag bandages
  91. >this next part is the worst
  92. >thread the needle
  93. >pull up the shirt and see the wound
  94. >[insertscreamsandselfstitchingtexthere]
  95. >nearly an hour passed by the time the stitches were taken care off
  96. >bandage the wounds and fall back on the musty old matress
  97. >get lost in your mind fuzz
  98.
  99. >deep blue colors swirled around in the abyss
  100. >beckoning
  101. >as if telling you you'll be safe deep in their depths
  102. >though deep crimsons came right after
  103. >they melded into a deep purple
  104. >then a bright light came from behind
  105. >soon found yourself walking closer and closer towards it
  106. >dig your heels when you realize
  107. >try to talk
  108. >see your words pop out like bubbles instead
  109. >poke the letter E
  110. >it bursts into a bright blinding orange
  111. >the sun
  112.
  113. >jolt out of your fatigue instilled slumber
  114. >see the "bandages" on your arm and side rife with dried blood
  115. >replace them with more rags
  116. >betterthannothing.jpg
  117. >the light coming from the east windows creeped through
  118. >a few things in this room began looking useful
  119. >crate in the corner with cans of food and water
  120. >a rifle rack
  121. >a book case
  122. >'A rifle rack?'
  123. >walk over to it and find long blocks of wood in place of guns
  124. >"So much for my luck."
  125. >look out towards the car wreck
  126. >the highway headed north had several dozen of those horned wolves waiting
  127. >watching
  128. >and looking at you with those fear inducing eyes
  129. >sit back down on the bed and shake head
  130. >what the hell even happened?
  131. >how'd your car end up crashing?
  132. >how long were you out? It's couldn't be too long.
  133. >though there was some weird gated structure with a tower right where you would have been driving down
  134. >then there's the rust everywhere
  135. >coating everything and it's mother in spades
  136. >the thick layer of dust on the shelves
  137. >that wasn't a short time's build up either
  138. >this was decades of dust
  139. >makes no sense
  140. >'What the fuck is even going on?'
  141. >stomach growls like a wolf
  142. >look over to the crate of food in the corner
  143. >another growl
  144. >well, best try something
  145. >pull it towards the beds and look through it's contents
  146. >"Alright. A gallon of water, a box of poptarts, a can of peaches and some beans."
  147. >sparse pickin's
  148. >especially since there wasn't a can opener
  149. >cough for a moment when you open the box of brown sugar poptarts
  150. >there had to be a legion of dust that came springing forth from it
  151. >all looking to colonize in your gut
  152. >see a few fully wrapped pairs of the things
  153. >open it
  154. >'Welp, here goes nothing.'
  155. >they both go down the hatch in record time
  156. >surprisingly, they don't taste like they've gone off
  157. >at all
  158. >the large amount of dust buildup on it should have indicated they've been here for a long time
  159. >stomach still growling
  160. >down another two of the packets before the growling subsided
  161. >for now
  162. >stand up and look towards the north
  163. >still full of those horned wolves
  164. >with the gate closed maybe you could explore what little this place had
  165. >open the door out while clutching a long block of wood in your hands
  166. >just in case
  167. >start walking around this sectioned off area of highway
  168. >it wasn't all too large anyways
  169. >just big enough to section off the north and southbound lanes
  170. >four gates
  171. >two for through traffic and two for incoming
  172. >all of them locked
  173. >thank your lucky stars that this looked like the heavy duty chain link fence
  174. >hell, there was even barbed wire on the top of it
  175. >maybe this had been some military checkpoint before it rusted out
  176. >makes sense now
  177. >but what doesn't make sense is why it's *here*
  178. >*here*
  179. >the here where your car would have been when driving
  180. >then the dust buildup comes back into mind
  181. >and the rust everywhere
  182. >that wasn't something that just pops out of nowhere
  183. >hell, there was less cars on the road now then were there before the...
  184. >before the what?
  185. >the red and orange streaks through the sky?
  186. >what the hell were those anyways
  187. >you remember pulling onto the side of the highway when others did
  188. >multiple of the streaks showed up too
  189. >then the air raid sirens
  190. >wait
  191. >the air raid sirens
  192. >something pops into your head that you instantly began fearing
  193. >wouldn't the air raid siren go off if someone were to send ICBMs through the air
  194. >but
  195. >but that makes zero sense
  196. >ohmygooooooooooood.gif
  197. >if they were nukes that close to you when exploding wouldn't you just get vaporized?
  198. >maybe that would explain the less cars on the road
  199. >it wouldn't explain your being alive though
  200. >try to shake it from your mind
  201. >see a rusted out truck next to a small tarp overhang
  202. >this would have been where the military man stood before this all
  203. >now a skeleton laid strewn around the ground
  204. >guess mr. bones wild ride finally ended
  205. >nothing in his hand
  206. >go to the truck and see the doors are locked
  207. >'Alright wood, do me some good!'
  208. >swing it towards the window
  209. >it almost harmlessly bounces off
  210. >try again
  211. >you miss and break the side mirror
  212. >damn arm messed you up
  213. >swing it again
  214. >leave a dent in the side
  215. >a fourth swing
  216. >finally
  217. >the window collapsed in on the large chunk of wood
  218. >rake it around the broken window to make it safer to stick arm into
  219. >reach up and unlock the door
  220. >hop it
  221. >seats still seem a little plushy
  222. >open the glove box
  223. >ooo
  224. >jackpot
  225. >you recognize this gun
  226. >Chiappa Rhino 20DS
  227. >a 6 round .357 Magnum revolver
  228. >pull it out and cradle it in hand
  229. >begin ransacking the truck as thoroughly as possible
  230. >an unopened Blue Bull
  231. >a Gator-aid
  232. >these seem wrong
  233. >the poptarts were just poptarts, but these?
  234. >they had weird names
  235. >shouldn't that be Gatorade, not Gator-aid?
  236. >open it and chug it down
  237. >mmm, Glacier Freeze
  238. >at least the taste isn't different
  239. >keep looking around
  240. >find a bag with the Chiappa logo in the back
  241. >a "backpack"
  242. >pull it out from behind the seat and open it
  243. >a little gun popped out
  244. >couldn't have been chambered any higher the .22 LR
  245. >a Little Badger
  246. >a Chiappa Little Badger
  247. >put it back into the bag and sling it across your back
  248. >maybe your luck isn't nearly as bad as you thought
  249. >pull the Rhino 20DS from your pocket and pop out the cylinder
  250. >alright
  251. >all six shots
  252. >back into the pocket
  253. >take your bounty back to the tower and lay back
  254. >eat another pack of poptarts
  255. >fall back asleep
  256. >back to your rattled mind
  257. >you're in your mind fuzz now
  258.
  259. =-=-=-=-=
  260. Chapter 2: Used To Feel Before
  261. =-=-=-=-=
  262.
  263. >nearly two days had passed since you came upon this place
  264. >the food was running out the longer the wolves stuck around
  265. >a day into your stay you realized your phone had been completely torn in half by the crash
  266. >so much for some music to lighten the mood
  267. >down to a single poptart packet and a 1/4 of a gallon of water
  268. >eat the poptarts slowly to savor it
  269. >welp
  270. >out of food
  271. >look down towards the wolves
  272. >those horned assholes and their horns
  273. >still surprised the one that attacked a few days didn't try to gore you with it's horns like a bull
  274. >maybe they don't know how to use them
  275. >makes sense
  276. >if they did you'd have a pair of matching holes in your gut
  277. >familiarize yourself with the guns now in your possession
  278. >soon find your way around them like an old pro
  279. >count the amount of ammo for them
  280. >6 .357 Magnum rounds for the Rhino
  281. >6 .22 LR rounds for the Little Badger
  282. >make sure each are loaded every time you step out of the tower in case a wolf got in somehow
  283. >they didn't
  284. >it was like a medieval seige tactic
  285. >waiting you out
  286. >the things were good at it
  287. >never had you thought a horde of horned wolves would be implementing seige tactics
  288. >it's like one of those greentexts you used to read on halfchan
  289. >fuck 8chan though
  290. >thosefuckingfaggots.gif
  291. >half tempted to take a potshot but want to conserve ammo
  292. >gaze returns to the wolves
  293. >they begin dispersing slowly
  294. >'Is this another trick?'
  295. >sit back and watch until they all slink away into the forest
  296. >maybe
  297. >just maybe
  298. >you're in the clear
  299. >slowly descend the tower staircase and head towards the south facing gate
  300. >jug of water in your left hand
  301. >Rhino 20DS in your right
  302. >get to the gate and realise there is a lock on it
  303. >damn it
  304. >what do
  305. >look for that wooden block from earlier
  306. >on the ground right next to the truck from the other day
  307. >pick it up and line it up with the lock
  308. >miss the first one
  309. >swing
  310. >smacks against it
  311. >leaves a dent in the wood
  312. >another
  313. >hear a bunch of rattling underneath it
  314. >sounds good
  315. >again
  316. >another great sounding wood on metal smack
  317. >then the crescendo
  318. >*KERCHING!*
  319. >the lock breaks under the power of the last swing
  320. >open the latch and look outside
  321. >nothing right
  322. >nothing left
  323. >slowly slip out of the gate and stay low
  324. >continue that way for a few minutes before you're convinced that it's clear
  325. >stand up fully and walk down the highway with head held high
  326.
  327. >hours passed while you walked down the barren highway you once drove down on bad days
  328. >rusted cars
  329. >broken down
  330. >slammed into ditches
  331. >the machines once used by us to travel now sat stagnant
  332. >foliage growing through them
  333. >a testament to humanity's vain attempts to tame the wilds
  334. >every now and then you'd hear a rustling coming from the woods at either side
  335. >though nothing comes out after you
  336. >a few hours had passed since the checkpoint had disappeared from behind you
  337. >see an off-ramp on the right
  338. >there had been a few signs a little further back on the road
  339. >a Walmart off on the left and some old fast food joints
  340. >well
  341. >will probably find some stuff at the Walmart
  342. >leg it to the front of the store
  343.
  344. >the automatic doors had been smashed in at some point
  345. >walk in
  346. >the whole place looked like a warzone
  347. >shelves thrown over
  348. >skeletons everywhere
  349. >metal strewn around
  350. >no shopping carts
  351. >ominous
  352. >walk further in and start exploring
  353. >find a machete still left behind
  354. >loop the sheath in your belt
  355. >slip a flat head screwdriver into your waist
  356. >head over to where the guns were
  357. >the section was almost entirely bare
  358. >look around thoroughly
  359. >lift up a few of the small shelves
  360. >see a few small boxes of ammo
  361. >ooo
  362. >a box of 50 .357 Magnum rounds
  363. >25 .380 ACP rounds
  364. >and a couple .22 LR rounds that looked out of place
  365. >pick the boxes up and put the .22 LR into the bag alongside the Little Badger
  366. >*clink*
  367. >there was a quiet noise that echoed through the store
  368. >then came another sound
  369. >the sound of shopping cart wheels on tiles
  370. >your ears perk up when you realize it's coming towards you
  371. >pull your Rhino 20DS out and point it towards the noise
  372. >see a blade covered shopping cart hurtling towards you fast
  373. >slip on something when trying to step
  374. >roll like a log out of the cart's path
  375. >stand back up
  376. >gun in hand
  377. >see something rushing at you
  378. >not too sure what
  379. >takes a swipe at your chest
  380. >it tears up your t -shirt worse than it already was
  381. >step back and take aim at it
  382. >*BANG* *BANG*
  383. >two shots ring out from the revolver
  384. >the first shot missed it's head by an inch
  385. >the second impacting right into it's forehead
  386. >it falls forward
  387. >dead on arrival
  388. >your thoughts immediately take a left turn
  389. >roll the body over
  390. >see it up close
  391. >even in the light it looked foreign
  392. >it looked to be somewhat humanoid in shape but that's where the similarities end
  393. >if it was standing it would have easily reached seven feet tall
  394. >grey fur draped across it's body where clothes weren't
  395. >short, sharp claws
  396. >digitigrade legs
  397. >'I killed someone.'
  398. >your head flashes with the scene over and over
  399. >bile reached the back of your throat
  400. >the last of the digesting poptarts slap into the tiles at your feet
  401. >oh boy
  402. >well, there went your lunch
  403. >the body nearby looked back at you with cold, dead eyes
  404. >of course
  405. >dead people are cold
  406. >look around the store for any other tools that might be useful
  407. >in the very back of the tool section there was a shovel
  408. >grab the shovel
  409. >pull the body out the back door and into the grass behind the store
  410. >bury the wolf person's body
  411. >still feel sick
  412. >"It was in self defence Anon."
  413. >shake your head at yourself
  414. >it doesn't matter
  415. >the entire situation makes you sick
  416. >but a feeling wells up deep inside
  417. >"This makes me feel something I used to feel before."
  418. >pain
  419. >deep pain in your heart
  420.
  421. =-=-=-=-=
  422. Chapter 3: Bugs
  423. =-=-=-=-=
  424.
  425. >the sunset going over the horizon put a few tears into your eyes
  426. >this place is as foreign as Machu Picchu to you
  427. >warm reds and oranges helped to put you at ease
  428. >helps to damper the pain
  429. >memories flash through your head of your past
  430. >loves lost
  431. >friends that you once knew
  432. >and family that didn't care
  433. >wipe the tears and stab the shovel in your hands into the dirt again
  434. >pull up the dirt and pile the final shovelful onto the grave
  435. >it clatters against the packed dirt
  436. >walk back into the Walmart
  437. >try to look away from the blood trail that stuck to the grimy tiles
  438. >your sneakers tapped against them while you looked through the store freely
  439. >few things were left in this place
  440. >most had been ruined beyond repair or there was no use
  441. >that one giant tv you once saw yourself window shopping for?
  442. >broken in half and stomped on thoroughly
  443. >the entire game section?
  444. >thrashed
  445. >books?
  446. >ripped into pieces by something
  447. >maybe that wolf man had done this
  448. >with the low light it was beginning to get harder to move around this place and not trip
  449. >find a small room in the back with a sleeping bag, pillow, and a few cans of food
  450. >gulp
  451. >this must have been where he had been living
  452. >feel even worse now
  453. >not only did you intrude in his home, you killed him and buried him outside
  454. >now you were going to sleep in his bed
  455. >the pain returns
  456. >close the door and slip into the sleeping bag
  457. >shiver from the cold currently eating away at you from the inside
  458. >fall asleep after what seems like forever
  459.
  460. >the black void that you were normally in subsided and brought you into a hectic store at midday
  461. >sun creeping in from the glass front door
  462. >people coming in and leaving with shopping carts full of supplies
  463. >not just humans
  464. >animal people
  465. >hundreds of them all frenzied and panicking like it was their last minutes left
  466. >people shoving
  467. >fighting
  468. >gunshots ring out across the place
  469. >then loud explosions were heard far off
  470. >blinding light
  471. >mushroom clouds
  472. >windows shattering from shock-waves
  473. >the store slowly transformed into a decaying, ruined place with shelves strewn about and people scavenging
  474. >like a timelapse
  475. >thousands of ragged and scared people
  476. >humans
  477. >feline humanoids
  478. >birds
  479. >all different kinds of animal people
  480. >then it all slowed down when a tall grey wolf man entered in through the broken glass door
  481. >"Huh. Don't look like anybody been up here in years."
  482. >you follow him while he walked through the place with a machete in hand
  483. >after what felt like forever he calmed down and looted anything he could find
  484. >"Maybe I won't have ta' run no more."
  485. >he places his sleeping bag and pillow in an old break room before looking for breaking out a can of Spam and eating it
  486. >soon enough you followed him through months of his daily routine
  487. >he scrapped metal from the place
  488. >fashioned blades and tied them to the cart he'd wheel around the place
  489. >sold it to passing traders
  490. >then would buy food
  491. >suddenly you were brought to the front of the store
  492. >Walmart
  493. >and see a familiar figure
  494. >you
  495. >you walk into the Walmart with gun in hand
  496. >the wolf man snuck around a corner and tailed you while you went about his home
  497. >looting his possessions
  498. >then you were alerted to him by the clinking of an old pistol round hitting the ground
  499. >it was now or never
  500. >the wolf rushed you with his blade cart
  501. >you dodged out of his way
  502. >he almost gutted you
  503. >two shots from the revolver and he was dead
  504. >feel remorse for your actions
  505. >vomit
  506. >then drag him outside to bury him
  507. >when the dream you goes to bury the body, you turn around and come face to face with the grey wolf man again
  508. >grabs you by your throat and pulls you up
  509. >"KILL ME? BURY ME? SLEEP IN MY BED?"
  510. >throws you head first into the grave
  511.
  512. >wake up in a cold sweat while clutching your neck
  513. >it felt like real pain
  514. >look over to your right and see a watch next to cans of food
  515. >pick it up
  516. >7:03 AM
  517. >well, you slept long enough
  518. >eat a can of beans that was left over here before standing up
  519. >swing the door open and hear dozens of loud skittering sounds coming from the store floor
  520. >slowly walk around into the store front and see giant beetles of some kind moving away from your noise
  521. >look towards where they went
  522. >giant balls of black, concrete, and metals
  523. >at least as tall as you
  524. >this began a scary train of thought
  525. >'Are they supposed to be dung beetles?'
  526. >you see the giants balls shift around
  527. >move around
  528. >speed around
  529. >flinging right towards you at incredible speeds
  530. >no time to move
  531. >stuck between it and a hard wall
  532. >the ball smashed you through the wall
  533. >feels like you were hit by Optimus Prime
  534. >the wall crumbles while you look out and see the beetle coming to retrieve the ball
  535. >try to stand
  536. >the pain is overwhelming
  537. >though it wasn't from your bones
  538. >no
  539. >it was just that you felt like your body was completely smashed in
  540. >bruised
  541. >battered
  542. >but not broken
  543. >think back to something you remember hearing in the past
  544. >it's rare
  545. >sometimes when someone gets hit by a car they flop around like they have rubber bones
  546. >they don't break much if anything
  547. >realize that you've gotten lucky as fuck
  548. >get up after your fourth attempt
  549. >pull your Rhino 20DS out
  550. >try to think of something cool to say
  551. >fuck it
  552. >let loose four shots at it
  553. >it squealed in pain when the bullets impacted it
  554. >crumples into a heap
  555. >realize that you don't have any bullets left in your gun and your box of ammunition is next to the sleeping bag in the break room
  556. >your eyes widen in realization after this
  557. >don't have time to get it
  558. >another beetle skitters in front of you with a smaller ball
  559. >about the size of a medicine ball
  560. >it shoots it into your left leg
  561. >your leg flies out from under you with frightening speed
  562. >a cracking sounds
  563. >sharp pains in your shoulder and leg
  564. >welp
  565. >broken bones
  566. >take the machete out of it's sheath
  567. >slash it at the bug
  568. >it cleaves the thing's head in two
  569. >the sounds of giant boulders smashing through walls
  570. >maybe the things finally got the clue not to fuck with you
  571. >or they got bored
  572. >not sure which
  573. >pull yourself towards the broken wall
  574. >look to see giant holes in the side of the building
  575. >get yourself up on your good leg
  576. >limp over to the break room with the sleeping bag
  577. >grab the sleeping bag and pile all of your belongings into it
  578. >replace the spent casings in your gun and push it down into your pocket
  579. >throw the sleeping bag over the shoulderand limp from the Walmart in pain
  580. >back onto the highway
  581. >the shoulder that smacked into the ground groaned whenever it moves
  582. >leg slowly trailing behind
  583. >the adrenaline from the whole situation wore off after the Walmart faded in the distance
  584. >"Oh. There's the pain."
  585. >bones creaked and the whole of your body felt it
  586. >before you know it your face smacked into the asphalt
  587. >"Fucking bugs."
  588. >pass out
  589.

  591. Chapter 4: Far Far Away
  592. =-=-=-=-=
  593.
  594. >here you were
  595. >stuck in your own mind
  596. >could still hear what was going on around you
  597. >it had first started as loud animal grunting
  598. >then came a voice
  599. >"What the hell is a human doing all the way up here? The Rubble Beetles and Horned Wolves'll kill him!"
  600. >couldn't tell what he was doing
  601. >"Did he..."
  602. >he went quiet for a while
  603. >"His arm should be turned black by now! That bite's fucking huge! I have to get him back to the Doc... How the hell is his arm still on him?"
  604. >that was disconcerting
  605. >what the hell did he mean your arm shouldn't be on?
  606. >these "Horned Wolves" have some means to render an arm useless?
  607. >and what the hell was a Rubble Beetle
  608. >for a while it was completely silent
  609. >then there was the sound of gates opening and heavy footfalls
  610. >"Ryan! What the hell are you doing with a human on your Rhino? You know we don't let them into Under-I after the problem with the bandits!"
  611. >"Shut up Harrison, you stupid rabbit! I'm bringing him into the Doc. His arm didn't come off after a bite from one of the horned wolves and the Doc'll be able to tell why."
  612. >a scoff came from the direction the voice had come from
  613. >"If he wakes up and causes any trouble then it's your head. Fucking chickens. Can't stand to do guard work so you head off on your Hairy Rhino and "scout" the area around us. Pansy."
  614. >another period of time passed without noise
  615. >wait
  616. >your eyes are open
  617. >look up to see a stereotypical Leghorn chicken standing over the bed and looking intently at your wounds
  618. >then there was a snow white dog man looking into your eyes with a flashlight
  619. >"Alright, any news Doc? I've been dealing with flak from that asshole Harrison about this one."
  620. >the dog's looked at the Ryan
  621. >"It's been years since I've seen a case of this. A decade in the least."
  622. >"Just get to the point Doc."
  623. >the flashlight in Doc's paws clicked off and he sighed
  624. >"You remember what you were taught in class years ago, right?"
  625. >Ryan shook his head
  626. >"Damn it. Try to keep up okay?"
  627. >the chicken nodded
  628. >"80 years ago there was an electronic malfunction that spread throughout North Korea. In and of itself that wasn't much of a problem, but when their power grid came on it sent hundreds of ICBM missiles streaking through the sky. Each of them were carrying a nuclear payload that could devastate a city the size of Los Angeles. NATO, Russia, China, anyone with nuclear weapons launched them to assure the destruction of their enemies. Mutually Assured Destruction."
  629. >your mind blanked
  630. >80 years?
  631. >what the hell
  632. >nukes?
  633. >the air raid sirens
  634. >it's beginning to make sense
  635. >"Alright Doc, but what do those have to do with this human right here?"
  636. >"Everything!"
  637. >the doctor lashed out at Ryan
  638. >"No one's quite sure why, but the after the bombs fell people started appearing out of nowhere. It wasn't ever consistent with a schedule. There could be three found in a week or none found in a year. The mysterious people cropped up in random places with memories of nuclear blasts and their lives prior. At first it was thought that they just suffered from serious, mind altering delusions, but that changed after the first person passed through The Wall out west."
  639. >Ryan gawked at him
  640. >"Damn it Ryan. The Wall is a potent wall of radiation that acts as a barrier between our side of the country and everything west of the Rockies. The human that made it through was one of these "delusion" sufferers. He told of the desert on the other side, of monsters lurking under the sand, and of kingdoms cropping up that survive in the harsh land. The radiation hadn't killed him. The reason? He was exposed to massive amounts of radiation in moments and survived. This gave credence to their memories of nuclear blasts. Many theorize that the reason these "Passers" arrived here has something to do with that electronic malfunction that struck North Korea, but it isn't proven. Some in the College tried to explain it with rudimentary science, but I thought out of the box!"
  641. >the dog man laughed heartily
  642. >"Parallel Universes. I theorize that we came into contact with a parallel universe when North Korea had their malfunction. We stayed stuck to the parallel universe just long enough for their power grid to turn on and send the nukes on their warpath alongside ours. Our nuclear weapons switched places during that time, replacing our North Korea's ICBMs with their North Korea's ICBMs. Since our nuclear weapons were tied to our world, they pulled in humans that survived the blast from their world to ours. Now there's two separate kinds of humans here. Our humans and the Passers."
  643. >the chicken looks directly at your eyes
  644. >"So this guy's a Passer? That must be why he didn't lose the arm."
  645. >Doc tapped Ryan on the beak
  646. >"Precisely! Horned Wolves inject a radioactive substance into one's arms that stops at the shoulder and turns it black. By being a Passer, this man was able to treat it like any other bite."
  647. >this was all going over your head
  648. >nukes?
  649. >parallel universes?
  650. >what the hell kind of shit did you find yourself in now?
  651. >god damn it
  652. >attempt to move
  653. >body still won't respond
  654. >mentally chastise yourself over lack of bodily control
  655. >scream in your mind
  656. >feel your big toe wiggle
  657. >hard parts over
  658. >get your other toes wiggling
  659. >next is the fingers
  660. >dothewave.webm
  661. >arms follow
  662. >"He's movin' Doc!"
  663. >the doctor had gone over to a nearby table to get a new piece of paper
  664. >runs over and sees your eyes are open
  665. >"Hello, human, can you speak?"
  666. >open mouth to talk
  667. >a slight wheeze
  668. >"What the fuck was that about nukes and parallel universes? I've been here for less than a week and I've had enough of this shit!"
  669. >swing legs over the side of the bed
  670. >try to walk
  671. >oops
  672. >that's right
  673. >broken leg
  674. >fall on your face
  675. >Ryan and the doctor pull you back up and onto the bed
  676. >"Stay still. The Doc'll fix you up right as rain in a few days. You'l never even notice the broken arm and leg when he's through."
  677. >gives you a thumbs up before running off to go do something
  678. >the white face of the doctor stared at you curiously
  679. >"Are you willing to talk about what happened?"
  680. >you know what
  681. >fuck it
  682. >fuck it all to hell
  683. >bare it all to the doctor
  684. >the day with the explosion and the wolf bite
  685. >wolves employing seige tactics
  686. >the walk to Walmart
  687. >wolf man fight there
  688. >burying him
  689. >the dream that night
  690. >and finally bugs
  691. >fucking bugs
  692.
  693. >"Well Anon, I'd say you're lucky. I've often thought that it's a one in a million chance that Passers make it over. That in and of itself would be worth praise, but surviving a Rubble Beetles's boulder? They can shoot those out at speeds of nearly 75 mph."
  694. >if you had water you'd do a comical spit-take
  695. >"75 mph?!"
  696. >you got hit by two
  697. >makes sense why you're hospitalized
  698. >it doesn't make sense, however, that you're in a sterile white room
  699. >from the last few day's out in hell you're sure that this place shouldn't exist
  700. >"Doc."
  701. >turns to you and writes something on his clipboard
  702. >"Yes, Anon?"
  703. >"Where am I? This place looks too clean for what I've seen."
  704. >the dog's mouth upturned
  705. >"Ah, an observant one. I'm the only doctor here in Under-I so I have to keep my workspace clean don't I?"
  706. >suppose so
  707. >"If you're still looking to leave I won't stop you. There's a crutch next to the bed if you want to go. Ryan, the Chicken from earlier, put your weapons into the sleeping bag you were found with."
  708. >go to stand up
  709. >fall back on the hospital bed
  710. >take the crutch and grab your sleeping bag
  711. >pull it over
  712. >get your Rhino 20DS and check the cylinder
  713. >the six shots are still in there
  714. >click it back into place
  715. >push it deep in your pocket
  716. >the Little Badger bag is back on your back
  717. >"Ah. While I'm somewhat disappointed that I won't be able to study you, I understand completely. Passers don't like staying in one place for too long. Now Ryan on the other hand... He's gonna be a little miffed about that. He's the one that saved you, ya' know?"
  718. >chug the last of your water and put the bottle back into the bag
  719. >you're still trying to fully realize the situation you're in
  720. >a human from another Earth dragged into this shithole due to a nuclear bomb
  721. >immune to radiation
  722. >well fuck
  723. >you're far, far away from home now
  724. >stand up and crutch-walk to the door
  725. >"Good luck out there, Anon. If you're ever back in Under-I, come see me. I'll patch you up free of charge."
  726. >nod towards him before leaving
  727. >the place seemed like a maze
  728. >it couldn't have been less than fifteen minutes before you finally saw the exit
  729. >a cloth covered, relatively open exit
  730. >go through and see where you were
  731. >well, that must be where they got the name
  732. >a walled off town underneath an old two way overpass
  733. >the I must stand for Interstate
  734. >look over to the gate headed south
  735. >the gate was slightly ajar
  736. >well
  737. >maybe that rabbit you heard in your head won't show up
  738. >slip through as fast as possible
  739. >down the highway and out of that place
  740.
  741. >you had to have left Under-I about an hour ago when you heard voices coming from behind you
  742. >not right behind, but not far behind
  743. >look over your shoulder
  744. >see a pair of people coming towards you
  745. >Ryan, the chicken from earlier, was getting hauled by a large gruff looking rabbit man
  746. >"God damn it Harrison! You can't just do this!"
  747. >the chicken shouted while pulling at the ropes binding him
  748. >"I'm taking you with to see that human. See? He's right over there."
  749. >he pointed at you with a knife in hand
  750. >"You're going to watch me kill him. Then you're going to be thrown out of town. That'll teach you not to disregard the leader of the town guard."
  751. >Harrison throws Ryan into the ground and ran at you
  752. >no time to pull the gun out
  753. >your crutch is kicked out from under your arm and he pulls you into the ground
  754. >knife pointed at you while looking at you with crazy eyes
  755. >"Alright, human. We've dealt with more'n enough of ya' in the last few years. I can gut you like a deer and wear your entrails like a scarf and no one would bat an eye. I saved that town from humans once and I'll do it a-!"
  756. >he was cut off by Ryan slamming into his side and knocking them both onto the ground
  757. >you roll over onto your front and grab your crutch
  758. >get up slowly and walk over to where Harrison was beating the chicken into the ground
  759. >the Rhino 20DS in your hand feeling perfect
  760. >like it was meant to be there
  761. >the gun barrel pushes into the rabbits brown, dusty colored head
  762. >*BANG*
  763. >far, far away from home indeed
  764.

  768.
  769. >the body of Harrison the rabbit dropped after your revolver rung out
  770. >blood splattering against the side of the road
  771. >on the slick, shiny coating on your Rhino
  772. >and onto the white feathers below you
  773. >the fight with those bugs helped to desensitize you to violence
  774. >in this harsh reality you had to kill or be killed
  775. >but it wasn't like you were a heartless killer
  776. >the kill added itself to the pit in your stomach
  777. >no bile
  778. >this time you killed a crazy murderer
  779. >revolver slips back into your pocket
  780. >reach down and pull the chicken up off the ground
  781. >take your pocket knife out and cut the rope holding his arms together
  782. >the blood and brain matter had adhered to his face like spackling paste
  783. >Ryan attempted to scrape it from his feathers but failed
  784. >"T-thanks, human."
  785. >correct him
  786. >"Anon."
  787. >"Right, right. Anon. I'm Ryan. I-"
  788. >"Saved me after collapsing in the road south of the Walmart."
  789. >the silence between us was palpable
  790. >tangible
  791. >it lingered on the skin
  792. >finally he spoke up
  793. >"Welp, can't go back there now. Not after, uh... *this*."
  794. >Ryan extended his arms towards the dead rabbit man in the road nearby
  795. >agree
  796. >"Guess we're stuck together Ryan. Outlaws on the lam. Enemies because we were taught to be, friends because we dared to be?"
  797. >his arm threw itself around your shoulders
  798. >"Yup. Just the open road and what we can survive on."
  799. >crutch-walk towards the rabbit and go through his equipment
  800. >'An old Bowie knife, a wallet with... normal money?'
  801. >put that in your pocket
  802. >"Alright!"
  803. >Ryan pulls the pistol out of the rabbit's holster
  804. >"A Walther P99!"
  805. >takes the magazine out
  806. >"And it's full!"
  807. >try to think about a P99 and what ammo it takes
  808. >you pull the Little Badger bag off your back and toss it at him
  809. >he just barely catches it by the strap
  810. >"I already have the revolver. Hold onto that rifle until we need it."
  811. >swung onto his back
  812. >toss him the Bowie knife and sheath
  813. >the road ahead of us was going to be long
  814. >more likely dangerous
  815. >take that first crippled step down the highway with a new friend
  816. >the sun blared high in the sky
  817. >the crutch clattered with each movement
  818. >and you began smiling
  819.
  820. ---
  821.
  822. >a few days had passed since you and Ryan had dealt with Harrison, the crazy rabbit man
  823. >the two of you became fast friends while walking at a slow pace
  824. >something Doc had given you before you left started kicking in the day after leaving
  825. >at moments your bones felt like they were re-knitting as painfully as possible
  826. >then the pain was gone
  827. >walking got easier every time the pain subsided
  828. >before long you could walk without the crutch
  829. >your left arm also got better a lot faster
  830. >being able to lift almost as much as your right in record time
  831.
  832. >currently sitting across a fire from Ryan while he slowly roasts a recent kill over it
  833. >he didn't tell you what it was yet, but it smelled good and it didn't take anything more than the Little Badger to take down
  834. >you open your mouth to ask but he stops you
  835. >"It's a small Razorjaw Squirrel. The things are bastards, but if you kill one of their own they back off."
  836. >look at the body that was cooking
  837. >about 2' long and half a foot tall
  838. >it was missing it's entire entire head from the neck
  839. >"Did you..."
  840. >he chuckles
  841. >"Yeah. When cooking Razorjaw Squirrels you have to cut off the head and pull out the thing's throat otherwise it'll cut your throat on the way down. Can't begin to tell ya' how many people the Doc had to save from dying of internal bleeding from it."
  842. >oh boy, the smell was getting to you
  843. >stomach began growling
  844. >it was ready in a few minutes
  845. >Ryan tears a leg off of the thing and begins tearing at it with his beak
  846. >you follow suit
  847. >it tasted interesting
  848. >a weird, somewhat earthy and gamey taste
  849. >not bad though
  850. >especially for being not 80 FUCKING YEAR OLD FOOD
  851. >how the fuck did that stuff not go off?
  852. >Ryan had told you it was some old world preservative discovered a few years before the bombs flew and that it went into everything afterwards
  853. >it couldn't be healthy but it's better than starving
  854. >in fifteen minutes the squirrel had been completely devoured
  855. >"Alright Anon, we should get up early tomorrow."
  856. >lay out your sleeping bag and fall asleep soon after
  857.
  858. >the sun just barely started rising when you stirred
  859. >the fire that had been going was now just small embers
  860. >look over to where Ryan went to sleep
  861. >signs of a struggle
  862. >gun on the ground
  863. >Little Badger bag slightly open
  864. >no Ryan

  870. >over at his side of the fire you grabbed the P99 and the Little Badger bag
  871. >just out of the corner of your eye you see drag marks
  872. >follow those for a few hundred feet
  873. >then the trail disappears
  874. >go in the direction it went for what felt like forever
  875. >while heading in the direction you could see tall buildings and houses starting to peek through the trees
  876. >manage to finally leave the forest and find yourself in town
  877. >what town?
  878. >you don't know
  879. >but what you do know is there's a distinct copper smell in the air
  880. >it was almost out of nowhere too
  881. >like you'd gotten a nosebleed
  882. >blood
  883. >it smells like blood
  884. >nearly flip your shit
  885. >head in the direction the blood smell was the worst
  886. >and that was an understatement
  887. >every step closer in the direction took horrific amounts of force
  888. >finally see the building on the corner of an intersection
  889. >'Smith Meat Processing'
  890. >and the scene was enough to make you retch
  891. >[insertEdGeinreference]
  892. >oh boy
  893. >there went the squirrel
  894. >notice something in front of the door
  895. >a few large white feathers
  896. >uh oh
  897. >uh oh oh no
  898. >start to think about what's happening
  899. >'You could just run and never look back.'
  900. >you hear the metaphorical demon says from your shoulder
  901. >'He's your friend! You have to do something!'
  902. >the angel said in your ear
  903. >shake your head and the delusions leave
  904. >fuck it
  905.
  906. >kick down the door the same way that you did the watch tower
  907. >pull your revolver from your pocket and pull the hammer back
  908. >sweep through the place like spec ops
  909. >come across the meat locker
  910. >open it
  911. >several humanoid bodies hanging from meat hooks
  912. >do a quick look
  913. >no Ryan
  914. >leave the locker and hear loud clanging noises
  915. >"LET ME OUT OF HERE YOU FUCKING SICKO!"
  916. >okay, so we get a feminine voice
  917. >not Ryan's though
  918. >another voice pipes up
  919. >"Well... seems the little kitty decided to pipe up. Maybe that'll be the first thing I cut out."
  920. >follow the voice and peek around a corner
  921. >there was a large room with a metal table in the middle
  922. >cages all around
  923. >no humans in the cages
  924. >oh boy
  925. >there was one in the middle though
  926. >cleaver in hand
  927. >flip back around the corner
  928. >he had been wearing a blood drenched lab coat
  929. >pull out your Rhino and check the cylinder
  930. >all six ready and raring to go
  931. >"Alright, kitty, we're going to take care of that tongue of yours."
  932. >there was a little bit of whimpering from one of the cages
  933. >decide it's either now or never
  934. >flip around the corner and get low
  935. >his back is to you
  936. >there seemed to be three people in the cages
  937. >a tiger of some kind was trying to back up from the cage door
  938. >another wolf in a cage next to it
  939. >and then a heap of white feathers
  940. >'Ryan.'
  941. >sneak up behind the man while putting your finger up to your mouth
  942. >the whimpering from the wolf had subsided and the tiger relaxed
  943. >start to take aim
  944. >the butcher looks behind him to notice the gun barrel almost touching his face
  945. >*BANG*
  946. >his head was thrown back violently
  947. >he toppled to the ground in a spectacular fashion
  948. >the third sinking feeling in your gut finally hit, sitting like a rock
  949. >the pit grew one size that day
  950. >huff for a moment
  951. >the tiger looked at you with fearful eyes
  952. >speak up
  953. >"Alright Ryan, I'm here now."
  954. >the heap of feathers move for a moment before falling
  955. >look around the room for any keys for the cages
  956. >find it on a counter nearby
  957. >take it to the cages and unlock them hastily
  958. >the wolf bolts after the door opens
  959. >off into the afternoon sun
  960. >open Ryan's cage and pull him out
  961. >he's unconscious but not too worse for wear
  962. >then came the tiger's cage
  963. >the key didn't work
  964. >"Hurry up and get me out of here, you idiot."
  965. >try again
  966. >still won't work
  967. >tell the tiger to get as far back from the door as she can
  968. >point your Rhino 20DS at the lock and squeeze the trigger
  969. >the metal lock broke and dropped onto the tiles
  970. >she pushes the cage door open and crawled out
  971. >you gawked
  972. >she reached well up above your head
  973. >there was a clear height discrepancy in your two heights
  974. >okay
  975. >how'd this guy even get her here?
  976. >maybe drugging her then dragging
  977. >even then that was a stretch
  978. >some sort of vehicle maybe
  979. >"Thanks."
  980. >her paw patted your shoulder
  981. >well
  982. >at least your getting commended for this jail break
  983. >go to grab Ryan before she scooped him up and threw him over her shoulder
  984. >"The name's Sasha."
  985. >shove revolver into your pocket and outstretch your hand
  986. >Sasha returns the handshake
  987. >"We should probably get our gear and get out. I've seen a few people other than him in the last few days. His rickshaw should be in the back."
  988. >that perked your ears
  989. >rickshaw?
  990. >oh boy
  991. >you always wanted to simulate a poo-in-loo taxi
  992. >look for
  993. >oh
  994. >the key you found earlier was on a keychain
  995. >that didn't even register in your mind until now
  996. >there was seven keys on the thing
  997. >'I didn't have to shoot the lock did I?'
  998. >[inner/k/screams]
  999. >look around for a locked door
1000. >find one near the cage room
  1001. >try a few of the keys
1002. >finally get it on the 5th one
1003. >open it to see some bags on a counter
  1004. >a gun on a desk nearby
  1005. >ooo
1006. >you'd recognize that thing anywhere
  1007. >tattered and scratched
1008. >wood faded beyond all belief
  1009. >you, sir, were seeing a Browning Auto-5
1010. >five shells on the table next to it
1011. >while you're picking it up Sasha rushed by and headed straight for a a bag on the counter
1012. >sets Ryan on the counter gently before cradling a gun in her arms
1013. >rubbing her cheek on it
1014. >"Oh baby, you knew I'd come back and get you."
1015. >and that was an AAC Honey Badger
  1016. >damn
1017. >she gets the other bags off the counter and throws Ryan back onto her shoulder
1018. >"Come. The parking is in the back... This is the longest that he's been left alone. They will be back soon."
  1019. >Sasha left the room
  1020. >load 4 shells into the Auto-5
  1021. >charge
  1022. >load the fifth
  1023. >4+1
  1024.
  1025. >head out
  1026. >through the backdoor
1027. >see the rickshaw in all it's glory
1028. >a hunk of black metal and yellow leather
  1029. >time for taxi driver
  1030. >where's the potted plant?
  1031. >and the mirror
  1032. >"Alright, human, I'm driving. There's a community downtown that-"
  1033. >*BANG*
1034. >a small gun rung out from the other side of the parking lot
  1035. >impacted near your feet
1036. >get into the rickshaw with the speed of a thousand Usain Bolt-Cheetah People hybrids
1037. >Sasha hops into the drivers seat and started it up
1038. >she tossed Ryan to you through the middle and started driving like a bat out of hell
1039. >you look over to see jars of various body parts
1040. >pick up one labeled "Spleen"
  1041. >shit
  1042. >anightinamotel6bathtub.bmp
1043. >you fucked with black market organ dealers
  1044. >fucking spleen merchant
1045. >a bullet rings out and flies through the leather
  1046. >barely missed your head
1047. >lean out the open side
  1048. >oh shit
1049. >they're giving chase in another rickshaw
  1050. >boy howdy
  1051. >more rickshaws?
  1052. >are you secretly a Bollywood actor?
  1053. >nope
1054. >the bullets flying at you were 100% real
1055. >start grabbing the jars of organs and throwing them towards the chasing rickshaw
1056. >three of them impact the road
1057. >the last two smash into the windshield
1058. >they swerve for a moment before continuing their course for you
1059. >make sure Ryan is secured in his seat before trying anything else
  1060. >"Sasha, any ideas?"
1061. >she looks back at you for a brief moment before staring at the road
  1062. >"Got nothin' human."
  1063. >"Anon. I'm Anon!"
  1064. >Sasha grunts in response
1065. >try to think while the bullets from the pursuers impact the roads all around
  1066. >any idea
1067. >any would be better than nothing
  1068. >smirk
  1069. >there you go
  1070. >there's the idea
1071. >flick open your pocket knife
1072. >start cutting a large flap out of the leather in the back
1073. >it falls down and you're left with a large rectangular hole in the back
1074. >take your new toy and aim it at the person hanging out the side with a gun
  1075. >*BANG*KERCHANG*
1076. >the automatic feeding system pulled another shell into the chamber
1077. >see the body of the man fall out the side
  1078. >aim for a second shot
  1079. >*BANG*KERCHANG*
1080. >the rickshaw swerves and topples onto it's side, leaving metal skids and blood trailing behind
1081. >seems like the action on this needed some sort of quieting
1082. >they aren't supposed to be that loud
1083. >"Sasha! Stop the rickshaw and go back. We can take their guns!"
1084. >it skids to a stop almost instantly
1085. >at least Ryan didn't fly out of his seat
1086. >step out and head towards the two dead men
1087. >the first body was a few hundred feet behind the flipped rickshaw
1088. >Sasha cut the engine before joining you
1089. >start looking through the first one's belongings
  1090. >okay
  1091. >there's a trashy, one shot pistol
1092. >there was a handful of 9mm ammunition on him though
  1093. >take that for Ryan's P99
1094. >go over to the overturned rickshaw
1095. >cut out the leather and look over the dead man
1096. >a sawn off double barrel shotgun and two 12 gauge shells
  1097. >well
  1098. >lucky you
1099. >replace the two shells you used
1100. >bring it to Sasha and toss it to her
1101. >grabs it and heads back to the rickshaw
1102. >hop in and drive off from the carnage
  1103.
1104. >the ride had been silent so far
1105. >the only noise coming from the engine below your seats
1106. >Ryan almost woke up a few times but fell back asleep
1107. >wow, could that chicken sleep
1108. >"So, Anon was it? What brought you to their hideout? Grudge? Kill someone you loved and wanted revenge?"
1109. >tell her no and point a thumb at Ryan
  1110. >"Ah. A friend of yours?"
1111. >tell her about the situation with the Walmart and getting saved by him
1112. >she quieted down for a bit after that
1113. >try to think of something to say
  1114. >"Hey, do-" "How'd-"
1115. >you both interrupted each other
  1116. >"No, you-" "Go ahe-"
  1117. >damn it
  1118. >"You go-" "Just t-"
  1119. >angry
1120. >shout out before it could happen again
  1121. >"Go!"
1122. >"I was going to ask if you," she looked back at the chicken beside you "and your friend needed any help with anything. My employer sold me to those bastards and I need somewhere to go."
  1123. >eyebrow goes up
1124. >that brought questions up that you wanted answers for
1125. >Was there organized crime syndicates in this world?
1126. >do they have nearly as much pull as you imagine they would?
1127. >Sasha seemed to know what you were thinking
1128. >"No, I wasn't exactly doing legal work. You think a tiger my size is going to get any other work than being an enforcer?"
1129. >you didn't realize how different it would be
1130. >"Honestly I haven't bothered to think about it. I've been here for all of a week and I've met four animals before you."
1131. >the brakes smashed to the floor and she looked back
  1132. >"No fuckin' way. There's no way you're a passer!"
  1133. >that was a unique reaction
  1134. >was it that crazy?
1135. >the doc did say it was (theoretically) a 1/1,000,000 chance
  1136. >nod your head
1137. >"I got bit by one of those Horned Wolves and didn't lose an arm. That's how the doctor figured it out."
1138. >show her the large bite scar on your left arm
1139. >"Well shit, you better let me come with you two now! Ain't gonna be a dull moment around you!"
  1140. >well
1141. >you think of your motto
1142. >the one that gets you through everything
  1143. >two words
  1144. >fuck it
  1145.
  1146. ---
  1147.
1148. >the drive consisted of her asking you everything about your life before getting torn into this earth
1149. >only tell her the normal stuff
  1150. >nothing personal
1151. >try to make her keep her attention on the road
1152. >it had been nearly three hours since the jail break at Smith Meat Processing
1153. >Ryan was just waking up
1154. >the sun was just started it's descent
1155. >and your group was going through a tree canopy
1156. >according to Sasha you three were headed to some community in the middle of Downtown New Brook
  1157. >"Andel"
1158. >it's in a stadium off main street
1159. >though you don't really recognize where she's been driving
  1160. >*MRRRRRROW*
  1161. >okay
  1162. >large cat growl
  1163. >did Sasha do that?
  1164. >she shook her head
  1165. >*MRRRRRRROW*
  1166. >there it was again
1167. >a flash of brown flew through the drivers seat and took Sasha with it
  1168. >oh shit
1169. >jump through the median and stomp on the brake
1170. >it drifts into a stop and you hop out
  1171. >Browning Auto-5 in hand
1172. >rush towards the giant cat
  1173. >*BANG*KERCHANG*
1174. >a round of 00 buckshot sprayed into the side of the thing atop Sasha
1175. >knocked it off of her
  1176. >a few more steps
  1177. >aim for it's head
  1178. >*BANG*KERCHANG*
  1179. >there
  1180. >inspect the body
  1181. >oh
  1182. >a cougar
1183. >you could have sworn that those had been driven out of this area
  1184. >right, right
  1185. >different earth, different situations
1186. >realize that Sasha was bleeding from the arm
1187. >friends are friends, no matter how new
1188. >use your pocket knife to cut off both sleeves on your t-shirt
1189. >pull one of them over her arm
  1190. >tight fit
  1191. >"What are y-"
1192. >tell her to shut up
1193. >then pull the other over top of it
1194. >roll both sides up to make the bloody area super tight
1195. >"Alright Sasha. You're going to take a backseat and tell me which way to drive."
1196. >pull her up by her good arm and drape it over your shoulder
1197. >look back at the rickshaw to see Ryan walking out while yawning
  1198. >"Hey Anon, where are w-"
1199. >"Just get back in the rickshaw and strap in. Sasha here was driving us before a cougar blindsided her from the driver's seat. You'll keep her company won't you?"
  1200. >grunt while pulling her
1201. >you guess the shock was still going going on
1202. >the chicken just gets back into his seat and helps to sit her down when you get her there
1203. >"Are you going to tell me what the fuck happened? Why are we in the middle of nowhere with a tiger. Wait, wait. Where the hell did you get a rickshaw?"
1204. >tell him that he must be going senile to not remember
1205. >"Really? Where we- damn it. Damn it! Where is that fucking butcher?!"
  1206. >"Dead alongside his friends."
  1207. >took the rickshaw
  1208. >took their guns
1209. >pull the P99 and holster from your belt and hand it back
1210. >also hand him the handful of 9mm ammo
1211. >"There's your gun and a few more rounds we got. The sleeping bag hanging there should have the rest of your gear."
1212. >he retrieves the Little Badger and Bowie knife
1213. >ties it back up to the median
1214. >"Why's there this giant hole in the back? There's bullet holes right near my seat!"
1215. >tell him about the rickshaw chase and gunfight
1216. >"Aw man, you did that shit while I was sleeping? Remind me not to get kidnapped."
1217. >laugh while the engine turns over
1218. >get ready for your poo-in-loo taxi career
  1219. >smile
1220. >"Fucking spleen merchants gave us a good amount of loot though."
  1221.

  1225.
1226. >the city had just came into view after cresting a hill
  1227. >"New Brook."
1228. >Sasha leaned out the door and gave a quick look ahead
1229. >"We're on Pine Avenue right now. Not too many people come into town this way anymore. Now, I can't exactly remember why..."
1230. >she got lost in thought for a few moments
1231. >"Wait! I remember hearing something about a nomadic tribe of bandits a few years ago. This isn't the time of year you'd have to worry about them though. They spend Fall out a good fifty or more miles west of here."
1232. >look to your right you see a large, pale sign faded in time
  1233. >a single distinguishing characteristic
  1234. >six semi-ovals in a circle
  1235. >'Walmart'
1236. >steer off the street and onto the road that lead to the store
1237. >Ryan looked at you weird
1238. >"What are we doing Anon? Aren't we supposed to heading downtown?"
1239. >nod your head and look back
1240. >"Yes, Ryan, we're going to be going downtown, but not tonight. We have a few things we need to get and this place should have some of that."
1241. >he just shook his head
1242. >"Alright Anon, if you think somewhere this close to a town would have the stuff... Ain't like it's gonna be picked clean or nothin'."
1243. >the tiger beside him punched him in the shoulder
1244. >"If he thinks there's something that could help us, then it'll be there."
1245. >the chicken nursed his arm
1246. >"Okay, okay! Just don't punch me again."
  1247. >smile
1248. >a nice small band of friends
1249. >regardless of the amount of times you've known them, they seem trustworthy enough
1250. >maybe not "take a bullet for you"
1251. >but easily "won't leave you behind in a firefight" Forrest Gump style
1252. >it might have something to do with saving them from black market organ dealers
1253. >pull the rickshaw right up onto the outside concrete
  1254. >the front door wasn't shattered
1255. >see some old clay pots
  1256. >idea
1257. >go grab a large one and run towards the door
1258. >360 degree shot put throw
1259. >it sails through the door
  1260. >there you go
1261. >a spider web of cracks spread throughout the remaining glass
1262. >go over and kick out the rest
1263. >Sasha took the keys out of the ignition
1264. >"Remember, these keys and that rickshaw are important. I'm not walking back to Andel."
  1265. >pockets them
  1266. >well
1267. >may as well loot the place
  1268. >ooo
  1269. >carts
  1270. >get Sasha and Ryan a cart
  1271. >then you
1272. >an idea popped into your head
1273. >the wheels seem no worse for wear
1274. >maybe something to do with the front door not having been opened
  1275. >that must mean
1276. >walk into an aisle in the snack section
  1277. >it's completely full
  1278. >oh boy
  1279. >time for some fun
  1280.
1281. >the light from outside had started going out by now
  1282. >that didn't matter
1283. >you, Sasha, and Ryan were still going through the aisles, but you were using electric lanterns to light the place up
1284. >Sasha and Ryan's carts were completely full on supplies
  1285. >food
  1286. >batteries
  1287. >some tools
1288. >you think Ryan's cart had a 5 gallon jerrycan or two in his cart
  1289. >a crowbar, hammers, screwdrivers
  1290. >the works
1291. >you were headed somewhere completely seperate
1292. >the further into the store you got, the more empty it seemed
1293. >must be that the snacks weren't on anyones primary lists
1294. >it got barren quick, but at least you got things that you needed
1295. >look up to see the sporting goods department
1296. >if you're going to be waltzing around in the same world as psychos, you may as well have the means to fight back
1297. >and you were glad you did
1298. >while it wasn't an arsenal worthy of writing home about, you did find a good few weapons
  1299. >a Marlin 336W still in box
1300. >a few Remington bolt actions behind glass
1301. >in the display cases there was a few pistols left
1302. >what looked like a Charter Arms Undercover
1303. >a pair of blued Taurus Model 82s with a 4 inch barrel
  1304. >look behind the counter
  1305. >a brown box labeled "Kel-Tec SUB-2000"
  1306. >can probably sell that
1307. >take the Marlin box and place it in the cart
1308. >pull out a crowbar you saved from earlier
  1309. >rear it
1310. >smash into the display case with the rifles
1311. >pile them into the cart
  1312. >crowbar
  1313. >meet pistol case
  1314. >pistol case
  1315. >this isn't a healthy relationship
  1316. >smash the glass in
1317. >put the pistols into the child seat
1318. >grab the large brown box
1319. >bigger than it should be
  1320. >rattle it
1321. >the back of the laminated cardboard tore and two boxes fell out
  1322. >nice
  1323. >two SUB-2000s
1324. >place both boxes into the cart
  1325. >get a nice feeling
1326. >look for some ammo now
1327. >a few shelves were mostly bare
1328. >grab everything that was on there
  1329. >2 boxes of 5 12 gauge shells (00 Buckshot)
1330. >50 rds of .22 LR (some brand that started with Fi- but faded over the years)
1331. >another large box of 50 .357 Magnum (the only letters left were JHP)
  1332. >2 boxes of .38 Special
  1333. >it said Super-X on the front
  1334. >nothing else though
1335. >five boxes of .300 AAC Blackout that were strewn around and knocked over
  1336. >you think that's what a Honey Badger took
  1337. >not 100% sure
  1338. >then the last 3 boxes of .30-30
1339. >could only read the letters LOKT on the front
  1340. >hm
  1341. >no 9mm?
1342. >maybe that was just in that high demand
1343. >look at the door behind the gun area
  1344. >idea came to mind
  1345. >take crowbar
  1346. >pry the door open
1347. >it took a few tries to get it
  1348. >finally open
1349. >look in and see a skeleton at a computer desk
1350. >gun fallen out of boney fingers
  1351. >what is this?
  1352. >it's a weird looking gun
1353. >the magazine acted as the grip
1354. >on the left side of the handle it had a backwards C before "VP9"
1355. >under that it said SWISS MADE
  1356. >'It's called a VP9?'
1357. >the most pressing thing was the supressor on the front that was longer than the main part itself
1358. >'How do you charge this?'
1359. >a large circular knob in the back
  1360. >pull it
1361. >it ejects a decades old round with a *CLUNK*
  1362. >oh
  1363. >so it's a "bolt action"
1364. >put finger into the wirey trigger guard
1365. >start pointing the gun around the room
  1366. >secret agent anon
  1367. >job?
  1368. >to assassinate the leader of Mice-IS
  1369. >chuckle
  1370. >release the magazine
  1371. >single stack
1372. >start to bring that out to the cart when you see a white box out of the corner of your eye
  1373. >pick it up
  1374. >damn
1375. >heavy for how small it was
  1376. >'-eral ra-e and tar- 9mm'
1377. >looked like a case of the things
  1378. >open it up
  1379. >20 boxes of 50rds
  1380. >skeletons are assholes
  1381. >hording all the 9mm ammo
1382. >bring that out with you
1383. >both the VP9 and case of 9mm rounds flop into the cart
1384. >Sasha and Ryan come around a nearby corner at breakneck speeds
1385. >"And the tiger skids to a finish!"
1386. >Sasha jumped off the cart handles and pumped her fists into the air
  1387. >"Told you he'd be here, chicken."
1388. >Ryan pulls out a five dollar bill and hands it to her
  1389. >quickly pockets it
  1390. >"So, Anon, what'd you find?"
1391. >toss Ryan one of the Taurus revolvers
1392. >"That thing shoots .38 Special, Ryan. There's two boxes of the stuff in the cart. Sasha?"
  1393. >she walks over
1394. >point out the five boxes of .300 AAC Blackout
1395. >sweeps them up and takes them to her cart
1396. >Sasha pulls the gun off her shoulder and pats it
1397. >"This baby eats through the stuff like the vicious bastard it is. Better to find the stuff for free rather than pay $2 a round in Andel."
  1398. >that made you think
1399. >"Do they have their own ammo making facility or something? Seems like a good market to go into here of all places."
  1400. >she nods
1401. >"They make all sorts of ammunition. Bring them a gun and they'll be able to make custom made ammo for it. I've seen them making some weird rounds before."
  1402. >nod
  1403. >maybe that isn't a bad idea
1404. >go grab Ryan and pull him towards your cart
1405. >hand him the case of 9mm ammo
  1406. >he gawks at it
  1407. >"Where the hell d-"
  1408. >cut him off
1409. >"The skeletons were hording it."
1410. >his face said it all
1411. >"Not going to even ask."
1412. >point at the rest of the cart
1413. >"Unless either of you want something from the cart, it's all going to sell."
  1414. >pat the Marlin 336W
  1415. >"Except this."
  1416. >you're gonna be a cowboy
  1417. >unpack the thing
  1418. >grab a box of the .30-30
1419. >load six into the gun
  1420. >wait
1421. >there's some music coming from somewhere
1422. >"Sasha, Ryan, we have company."
1423. >the music starts blaring now
  1424. >right outside the front
1425. >'Colt 45 and two zigzags, baby that's all we need.'
1426. >'We can go to the park after dark, smoke that tumbleweed'
1427. >'And as the marijuana burns we can take our turns, singing them dirty rap songs'
1428. >'Stop and hit the bong like Cheech and Chong, sell tapes from here to Honk Kong'
1429. >are they listening to Afroman?
  1430. >this isn't 2005
1431. >rack the hammer on the Marlin
1432. >load another in the tube
  1433. >6+1
  1434. >try to think of a plan
1435. >don't know how many there are
  1436. >if they stayed outside
1437. >or if they're crawling around the storefront
  1438. >group up
  1439. >don't spread out
1440. >bring your voice to a low whisper
  1441. >"Alright, stick together."
1442. >bring your Marlin up and head around a shelf
1443. >see three men in balaclavas
  1444. >one with a nail bat
  1445. >the second has a rifle
1446. >and the last had some sort of 1911 style gun
  1447. >a shot rung out
1448. >impacts the wall behind you
1449. >take a snap shot at the nail bat man
  1450. >kneecapped
  1451. >he falls
1452. >slip back around the shelf corner
1453. >look back to only see Ryan
  1454. >where'd Sasha go?
1455. >peek around the corner to see Sasha blasting the Honey Badger
1456. >it shaves the rifleman's gun nearly in half
1457. >the pistol wielder got distracted
  1458. >rush in
1459. >smash the buttstock into the man's head
  1460. >he falls
1461. >gun flings from his hand
1462. >walk over to grab it
  1463. >'Infinity'
1464. >feel the power coursing through your veins
  1465. >unlimited power
1466. >the chorus from the music comes back
1467. >'Colt 45 and two zigzags, baby that's all we need.'
1468. >point the gun at the man trying to get up
  1469. >"How's this for a Colt .45?"
  1470. >two shots
  1471. >*BANG*BANG*
  1472. >down he went
  1473. >feel a little upset
1474. >'They shot first, they shot first.'
1475. >take the pistol in your hand and place it in your waistband
  1476. >new gun
  1477.
1478. >the music didn't stop after the gunshots rang out
1479. >head to the front of the store
1480. >see a human in a pitch black rickshaw bobbing along to the music
  1481. >clear throat
1482. >he looks over at you with a surprised look
  1483. >"O-oh... I'm in deep aren't I?"
1484. >his dreads flopped down onto his back when he stopped
  1485. >think
  1486. >*he* didn't shoot at you
1487. >maybe you could try something
1488. >he started talking before you could
1489. >"Alright man, don't do anything hasty! I'm just a driver for the Rondell Family. Our operation up north got disrupted and we were told to look for someone in a rickshaw. They didn't tell me anything. I wasn't even allowed within five blocks of the location either, man!"
  1490. >sigh
1491. >"You caught us I guess. They were butchering, uh," think back to what Ryan called them during the drive, "anthros? They were killing them and selling the organs."
  1492. >he froze
  1493. >eyes wide
  1494. >looks right at you
1495. >"Alright man, alright. I'm getting outta here while I can. That kind of thing ain't my scene, dude."
  1496. >stop him
1497. >"Listen, we could use your help. We're headed down to Andel tomorrow and if what Sasha is saying is right, then this 'Rondell Family' has to get paid back for what they did to her."
  1498. >his ears perked up
1499. >"Did you say Sasha? She went missing a few days ago!"
1500. >tell him to cut off his engine and follow
  1501. >keep him in front
1502. >find Sasha and Ryan moving the bodies off to the side
1503. >go to stand by them
  1504. >"Sasha!"
1505. >the guy threw his hand up and waved
  1506. >she waved back
1507. >"Jimi! What're you doin' up here? This ain't downtown."
  1508. >he recoiled for a moment
1509. >"Uh, yeah, I was the driver for the guys sent after you."
  1510. >"What."
  1511. >Sasha took a step towards him
1512. >"What do you mean "sent after"? We killed everyone that was chasing us!"
  1513. >he took a step back
1514. >"Now listen Sasha, it's not my fault! You had been poking around, man. The boss doesn't take kindly to Nosey-Nancies."
  1515. >she took a pair of steps
1516. >"And if you don't start telling us how you found us, you're gonna be a Beaten-Blue Bruce."
  1517. >he kicked the tiles
1518. >"According to those, uh, those guys that are against the wall over there, a rickshaw was missing."
1519. >Ryan steps up and tries to be intimidating
1520. >"Yeah? We killed the guy and took h-!"
1521. >you smack him in the back of the head
  1522. >"Like hell you did. I did."
  1523. >Sasha steps back
1524. >"Damn it Jimi. You've fucked up royally this time..."
1525. >a smirk came across her face
  1526. >infectious
  1527. >Ryan started smirking
  1528. >then you did
1529. >Sasha decided to say it for you
1530. >"But you can make it up to us by helping us kill Edward Rondell."
  1531.
  1532. ---
  1533.
  1534. >it was cold
1535. >despite the fire burning on the tiles, the wind rushing in through the door made the entire building bone cold
1536. >your friends (and impromptu ally) were sitting around it
1537. >the clock you grabbed and put a battery in said it was just rounding 10:00 PM
1538. >it did take a while, but you and Sasha managed to make a small enclosure out of shelves with a tarp door at one end
  1539. >no roof
1540. >still a nice little area for being in such a shitty place
1541. >no one had time to eat yet so they were cooking old hotdogs from the broken freezers
1542. >roast yours over the fire
  1543. >no buns
1544. >eat it off the skewer
  1545. >eh
  1546. >really processed hotdog
  1547. >80yearoldfoodisstillfood.jpg
1548. >lay out your sleeping bag after transferring the contents into a duffle bag you found earlier
  1549. >slip into it
1550. >look over and see that Sasha didn't have a bag
1551. >being a gentleman you offer her yours
1552. >"You sure Anon? You don't exactly have fur do ya'?"
1553. >nod your head and pull a fleece blanket from one of the carts nearby
1554. >go to lay down closer to the fire
1555. >fall asleep not too soon afterwards
  1556.
  1557. >wake up
1558. >look over at the clock a few feet away
  1559. >3:00 AM
1560. >prime time to wake up for no reason
1561. >slowly get up from under your blanket
1562. >make sure you take your Rhino in case you need it
1563. >go out of the sleeping area and out of the front door
1564. >a bottle of old whiskey in hand
1565. >sit down with your back to the old concrete
1566. >drink nearly half of the liquid courage
  1567. >feel a hand on your shoulder
  1568. >"Couldn't fall back asleep?"
  1569. >it's Sasha
  1570. >shake your head
  1571. >pass the bottle
  1572. >takes a long swig
1573. >"I know how that feels. If I was in your position I'd feel the exact same. A week in a foreign place with crazy animal people and killing just to survive would break just about anyone."
1574. >grab the bottle from her and take another drink
1575. >the faces of the people you killed rush back
1576. >maybe this is why people turn to alcohol
1577. >helps dull the feeling deep in the gut
1578. >another swig and pass it to Sasha
  1579. >she downs the rest
1580. >"I don't think I've properly thanked you for what you did today. It doesn't matter if you were only there to get Ryan. You saved my life from those sick fuckers and I won't ever forget it."
1581. >she took a step in front of you, placing her paws on your shoulders and looking right into your eyes
1582. >"If you need any help, *any*, tell me. I don't forget my debts or hurt my friends, and I'm glad to call you that."
1583. >maybe it's just the alcohol kicking in
1584. >hell, you hope it is
1585. >her eyes were still affixed with yours
  1586. >waiting for a response
1587. >"Right. You got it Sasha."
1588. >the pair of paws left your shoulders and returned to her sides
1589. >"Good. Now, you should get back to bed sometime soon. We've got a long day ahead of us."
  1590. >stand up to leave
1591. >"I'm going to have a smoke before heading in Anon. I'll see you in the morning."
1592. >go through the broken door and head down the aisles to the fire
1593. >the alcohol was definitely in your system
  1594. >it was hitting hard
1595. >that's what you told yourself
1596. >at least that was a viable excuse
1597. >'What was with her emphasis on "any"?'
1598. >you're hoping it means nothing
1599. >head through the tarp door and lay down underneath your blanket
  1600. >face flush
1601. >alcohol clouding your ability to think clearly
1602. >hear Sasha returning just before you drift off to sleep
  1603.
  1604. -----
  1605.
1606. >the clock next to your head blares with electronic beeps in increasingly loud bursts
  1607. >smack the button
  1608. >8:00 AM
  1609. >damn it
1610. >did this thing come with a predetermined alarm set?
1611. >feel like chucking it over the shelves
  1612. >restrain yourself
  1613. >can always use a clock
1614. >look over to see Ryan and Jimi still passed out
  1615. >where'd Sasha go
  1616. >don't see her anywhere
1617. >the sleeping bag is gone
1618. >two of the carts are gone
  1619. >uh oh
1620. >slam revolver into your pocket
1621. >rush out of the tarp door and through the aisles at mach one
1622. >see some orange and black near the rickshaw
  1623. >relax a little
1624. >jog out the broken door window
  1625. >she notices
1626. >"Hey Anon! I'm just making sure everything is set up for the drive down to Andel."
1627. >see more holes in the back of the rickshaw's leather
1628. >bungie cords and ropes being used to tie the carts to the back of the rickshaw
1629. >some sort of juryrigged contraption
  1630. >[/diy/approved]
1631. >"Mind getting the other cart? We should get those guns tied up to the overhead. Get Jimi's lazy ass up too, he's going to be driving in front of us."
1632. >head back in to get the cart
1633. >Ryan already up and about
  1634. >"Hey Anon, sleep well?"
  1635. >grunt
  1636. >"Go wake up the dread-head, Ryan."
1637. >he nodded and headed off
  1638. >that was easy
1639. >grab the cart while you see Jimi getting slapped awake
1640. >pull it outside and hand it to Sasha
1641. >"Thank ya'. Grab those bungie cords from the back seat and we'll get out of here when that bastard Jimi gets out here."
  1642.
1643. >it was a good few minutes before Jimi and Ryan made it out of the store
1644. >"You're Anon, right? I'm not going to be sat next to Sasha am I? She scares me."
  1645. >chuckle at him
  1646. >no
1647. >he's going to be driving the other rickshaw
1648. >Ryan is going to be in the back to make sure he doesn't betray us
1649. >hop into the back of the yellow and black one
1650. >Jimi turns the ignition in his and starts the engine
  1651. >Sasha follows suit
1652. >she decides to take the shopping cart trailer for a test run
1653. >two laps around the parking lot
  1654. >no spillage
  1655. >no tipping
1656. >if a wheel locked up the others would pick up the slack
1657. >hell, the cracks and rocks in the road didn't do much
1658. >the tiger in the front seat pumps her fist
  1659. >"Alright! Now we're talking!"
1660. >she drives up alongside Jimi and Ryan
  1661. >"Here's how it's gonna go Jimi."
  1662.
  1663. ---
  1664.
1665. >forty minutes had passed since the two rickshaws had left the Walmart
  1666. >your's in front
  1667. >Jimi's behind
1668. >keep an eye on him through the hole in the leather back
1669. >be sure to throw in "I'm watching you" motions often
1670. >hear Sasha sigh behind you
1671. >turn around and lean out the side
1672. >"Back into town. if we don't do this right, we all die."
1673. >she looks at you and puts on a smile
  1674. >pat her shoulder
1675. >"If we *don't* do this you'll have a price on your head."
1676. >that made her look worried
1677. >hear her mumble the words "Rickshaw Rick"
1678. >try to pay it no mind
1679. >an old sign came into view under an old streetlight
  1680. >Park Avenue
1681. >we turn left down it and continue for a while
1682. >the cramped downtown buildings opened for a grand spectacle
1683. >Park Avenue intersected with Main Street
1684. >to the left there was a large arena/concert hall
1685. >right there was a parking lot that took up more room than the hall itself
1686. >the concert hall had five, brightly colored letters lit up in neon lights
  1687. >"Andel"
1688. >ahead of us there was a large scrap metal wall and gate
1689. >looked like they were made out of all sorts of metal they were able to scavenge
1690. >hell, even some old semi trailers
1691. >look back to see Jimi's trailer pull ahead and flag down the guard
  1692. >Sasha hits the brakes
1693. >see the dread-head get out of the drivers seat and start talking to a human with an M16 of some kind
1694. >not one of the burst fire ones either
  1695. >it had a giggle switch
1696. >remind yourself not to start shit with the guards
1697. >you wouldn't be making it out of that encounter alive
1698. >not with an army of 50 tiger women
1699. >Jimi shoots us a thumbs up and the metal gate scrapes open slowly
  1700.
  1701. >drive into the building
  1702. >down a narrow hallway
1703. >Sasha looks back at you again
1704. >"You should get familiarized with the town before we try anything tomorrow. Map out escape routes, low traffic areas, where would be a good place to hide. I'm counting on you."
1705. >tell her that you would
1706. >"Good. Untie the gun cart and go do your trading. We'll all meet up at the Nosebleed."
1707. >before you could ask her what that was she was gone
  1708. >cart left behind
1709. >map of Andel and marker on top
  1710. >good
1711. >start wheeling it into an opening on the bottom floor
1712. >it took a moment to move through
1713. >soon it opened up spectacularly
  1714. >"Whoa."
  1715. >that was an understatement
1716. >the concert hall had been completely changed
1717. >where seats once were there where now buildings made out of reclaimed wood and scrap
1718. >some in the middle reached up to three stories in and of themselves
  1719. >look at the ceiling
1720. >where an old cube shaped hockey scoreboard and screen was were walkways
1721. >all suspended from the rafters far above
1722. >houses found their way up there too
1723. >look far up to see a large square building built into the highest seating area
1724. >large red letters lit up by lamps
  1725. >"Nosebleed Hotel and Restaurant"
  1726. >ah
  1727. >makes sense
  1728. >look back forwards
1729. >see haphazardly constructed signs with directions to different stores
  1730. >Hound Harry's
  1731. >Import-ant
  1732. >Johnny's Pawn N' Gun
1733. >that sounded like a good place to start
1734. >head in the direction Johnny's would be
1735. >find yourself outside of a shack with glass display cases out front
  1736. >all junk
  1737. >maybe you made a mistake
1738. >go to leave when a man rushes out and shakes your hand with vigor
1739. >"Howdy son! My name's Johnny and I run Johnny's Pawn N' Gun! Might I say your guns are lookin' fit as a fiddle! You lookin' to sell?"
1740. >seems Johnny was an old greying brown bear
  1741. >though he seemed off
  1742. >look at his eyes
  1743. >bloodshot
  1744. >oh boy
1745. >he ushers you into the dingy building
  1746. >it's even worse inside
  1747. >just junk
  1748. >no guns even
1749. >"Now, how many of those babies you lookin' to sell? "
  1750. >shake your head
1751. >start pulling your cart out of the store
  1752. >"I need those guns."
1753. >he places his claws around the metal basket of the cart
1754. >"You aren't getting any of these guns! Get your paws off them!"
  1755. >his eyes narrowed
  1756. >scowl on his face
  1757. >crazy look
1758. >"That wasn't a question. I need those guns and I'm gonna get them iffin' I have ta' pry 'em outta your dead hands."
1759. >bad idea on his part
  1760. >go for a quick swing
1761. >the bear ducked underneath the swing
1762. >all you hit is the bill on his "Arlen-Daveysons" trucker cap
1763. >it flies from his head
1764. >Johnny swipes at you with his claws open
  1765. >great
  1766. >try to step back
1767. >just barely get grazed on your right cheek
1768. >a little bit of blood trickles down
  1769. >wince
  1770. >alright
1771. >quick jab into his muzzle
  1772. >smack on the nose
  1773. >follow up with another
  1774. >reach for your Rhino
1775. >'If I cause a big scene with gunshots, we'll be kicked out of town.'
1776. >pull the revolver from your pocket and throw it like a boomerang into his left eye
  1777. >"AGH!"
1778. >the front sight smacked right into it
1779. >Johnny's clutching it in pain
1780. >try to think of a way to get him onto the ground
  1781. >lightbulb above head
  1782. >it might work
1783. >rush in close while he's trying to stop the pain in his eye
1784. >slip your right leg between his legs and behind his left
  1785. >full arm swing
1786. >your forearm smashes into his muzzle, sending him toppling back onto the back of his head
  1787. >take a few steps back
1788. >"Now Johnny, you should have been good."
  1789. >damn one liners
  1790. >you messed it up
1791. >punt kick him in the side of his maw
  1792. >out like a light
1793. >shouldn't have messed with you
1794. >look back at the scene
1795. >an unconscious, beaten junkie bear in amongst a trash heap of a store
1796. >junkie man, don't tell me what your story is
1797. >look around for anything worth taking
1798. >a week ago the thought of robbing a store was foreign to you
1799. >in this world, if an opportunity such as this arose, you should take it
  1800. >see a cash register
  1801. >click it open
  1802. >$14.57
  1803. >not much money
1804. >can be used if needbe
1805. >grab your cart and do your best to leave the place without causing a scene
1806. >just barely get out of there before people gathered
  1807.
1808. >it took a minute before you finally felt comfortable to come out of hiding
1809. >pull out the map of Andel and mark this hiding spot
1810. >step back onto a "street" and see some more signs
  1811. >Import-ant
  1812. >Hound Harry's
  1813. >Rank Arms
1814. >that last one sounded good
1815. >follow the signs and push in through a nice looking, ornate wooden door
1816. >definitely not take from that nice hotel from down the block
1817. >"Hello and welcome to Rank Arms! How can we help you?"
1818. >a white rabbit woman stood behind a check in counter
1819. >"Uh, I saw the sign for this place and thought it was a store. Excuse me."
1820. >go to wheel the cart out
1821. >"Wait! We're a store! Just check in and I'll be able to let you in."
1822. >walk up to the sign in
  1823. >"Anon Anonson, 10:51 AM"
1824. >place the pen down and get ushered in through a pair of elevator doors
  1825. >"Enjoy your visit!"
  1826. >wave her off
1827. >the elevator closes and starts slowly pulling you up
  1828. >1 floor
  1829. >2 floors
  1830. >3 floors
  1831. >4th floor
  1832. >elevator doors open
1833. >push the cart out and enter into a large room lined wall to wall in display racks
1834. >most with nothing on them
1835. >"How're you today? My name's Richard Rank and I'm the owner of this little slice of heaven. How may we help you today?"
1836. >a short elderly human man extended his hand
  1837. >shake it
1838. >"I was hoping to sell off some guns I don't need."
  1839. >his eyes lit up
1840. >"Well I'll be. Ain't often we get shipments into town anymore. Those Rondell Family bastards drive out any caravan that manages to make it here. Not to mention that tribe of bandits that stop anything comin' in from Under-I... Haven't seen anyone from up that way in a few years now."
  1841. >wince for a moment
1842. >the situation with Harrison was still somewhat fresh
  1843. >hell
1844. >his body was just passing fresh
  1845. >it's hasn't even been a week
  1846. >Richard speaks up
  1847. >motions towards the cart
1848. >"You're looking to sell all these? I'm not going to shortchange ya', 'specially not since you've seen the stock I'm dealin' with."
1849. >motions to the few handfuls of guns on display around the room
1850. >nod to him and push the cart to a counter nearby
1851. >quickly put the guns up on top
  1852. >consider placing the VP9 up there
  1853. >decide against it
1854. >might need it at some point
1855. >"So we have three Remington 700s, one woodlands camo, two synthetic stocks. Two Kel-Tec SUB-2000s, a Taurus Model 82 with a 4 inch barrel, and a Charter Arms Undercover. Quite a haul you got here ain't it? While it ain't like when I had the materials to make my own, selling old or used guns still makes me money. For all this I can get you $1800. I'm paying you primo dinero for this stuff, 'specially since you had those SUB-2000s in box."
1856. >is that a low ball or not?
  1857. >fuck if you know
1858. >you haven't had to sell anything in this place yet
1859. >the old man extended his hand again
  1860. >hesitate for a moment
  1861. >shake it
  1862. >Richard takes out a wad of $100s
  1863. >counts out 18
  1864. >hands them over
1865. >"Now, you see anything on the walls you like? I'll throw one of my handmade pieces in for probably savin' my behind."
1866. >look through the few guns on the wall
  1867. >a pair of rifles
  1868. >pistols
  1869. >and a single revolver
1870. >pick it off the wall and look over it in your hand
1871. >barrel has "Rank Arms Model 1" and "9mm" embedded into it
1872. >"You have good taste. Nearly twenty years ago I came across an old laptop with a folder of thousands of different guns in it. Deciding to set myself apart from other gunsmiths, I melded together two revolvers into a unique weapon. A Nagant M1895 and a Colt Cobra's love child in the common 9x19mm Parabellum round."
1873. >he gently pulled it from your hand
1874. >"This one is special though."
1875. >he flips the gun over and points out a number on the metal loop
  1876. >"001"
  1877. >was this...
1878. >"This Model 1 is just that... the first. The first one I ever made. Nearly two dozen hours sunk into making this. I'm sad to see it go, but if it can help you then I'm happy."
  1879. >hands it back
1880. >place it into your waistband
1881. >you're armed to the teeth now
1882. >a Marlin and Auto 5 on your back
  1883. >Rhino in your pocket
1884. >and SVI Infinity, Rank Arms Model 1, and VP9 tucked into your waist
  1885. >holy hell
1886. >maybe you should dump some of the guns off when you get to the Nosebleed later
1887. >start pushing the empty cart towards the elevator
1888. >turn around towards Richard one final time
1889. >"Don't worry about Rondell. By this time tomorrow they won't be a problem."
  1890. >he smiled genuinely
1891. >"Thank you. Maybe then I can put these old hands back to work."
1892. >into the elevator and back out onto the main street
  1893.
  1894. ---
  1895.
1896. >you could see from the fourth story glazed windows that night was just around the corner
1897. >spending most of your day mapping out escape routes and hiding spots was annoying
1898. >every twenty steps there was a sign for the Nosebleed Hotel and Restaurant
1899. >all the rubble cordoned off with ropes or walls of their own
  1900. >it's like a maze
1901. >push inwards and finally see the entrance
  1902. >two rickshaws parked outside
  1903. >nice
1904. >didn't even see the ramps that they would drive up
1905. >open the door and see a mostly empty bar
1906. >a middle-aged man stood behind a counter cleaning mugs
  1907. >notices you come it
1908. >"Not often we get newcomers in Andel. Here for a drink or a bed for the night?"
1909. >look around to see your two companions, Jimi, and another person at a table
  1910. >Sasha waves you down
1911. >"Anon! Come over, get a shot in you, and talk with us!"
1912. >as you walk to the table a smell wafts through the room
  1913. >mint mixed with chemicals
1914. >sit down and look over at the person that was partially obscured
1915. >some sort of black bird
1916. >raven, crow, not too sure
1917. >Ryan kicks back a full bottle of beer
1918. >"He~y Anon! Have you me-m-met Casey yet?"
1919. >she casually waves her hand
1920. >"She's Andel's resident chemist. Loves messing with chemicals, dude."
1921. >Jimi bobbed his head a few times
1922. >you could finally place what the smell was
  1923. >wintergreen

1929. >"Hey, Anon right? I'm Casey. I've known Sasha for, what, nine years now?"
  1930. >"Almost."
1931. >you sit down amidst the crew you've assembled over the last week
  1932. >a long week it's been
  1933. >you've been shot at
1934. >your left arm and leg have been broken by giant beetles and (somehow) healed by a doctor in three days
1935. >hell, you've been transported from your home by nuclear weapons from a parallel world
1936. >all in a world with humans and animal people
1937. >now everyone is getting ready to kill off a mob family
  1938. >great
1939. >seems Casey is keen on telling you more about herself
1940. >"Like I said, I've known Sasha for nearly nine years. She's like the sister I always wanted. After hearing she disappeared I was devastated! I did a little bit of digging and found that she had been looking around in the Rondell Family headquarters nearby."
1941. >she slams back a shot of something
1942. >"I've never much cared for that cocksucker Edward. Always acting like he's better than everyone else, sacking caravans from Johnston further south, pissing on the people that made up his father's legacy."
  1943. >bad blood
1944. >must be that Casey was indebted to Edward's father
1945. >"Now the Rondell's are thugs. They used to act like a militia in return for supplies, but now they extort and kill. Sasha got a hold of me while you were out, Anon. The instant I heard her say she needed help I agreed."
  1946. >she extends her talon
  1947. >shake it
1948. >"We should probably get out of here."
1949. >you whisper to the people at the table after noticing the bartender had started getting closer
  1950. >eavesdropping
1951. >Ryan is in a drunken stupor by now
  1952. >Jimi is high as a kite
1953. >just you, Sasha, and Casey are fully aware
1954. >"Sasha, mind getting Ryan? I'll take care of the dread-head."
1955. >you lift the stoner up, fireman carry him upstairs, and get into the room Sasha pointed out
1956. >place him in an old recliner chair in the corner
  1957. >he's out like a light
1958. >now's as good a time as any
1959. >pull your map out of your pocket and place it on a table
1960. >"Well, well, well! Seem's Anon can map out escape routes like an old pro."
  1961. >Casey patted your back
1962. >take a while to go over the hidey-holes and escape routes you planned out
1963. >Sasha then produced a map of the Rondell Family's headquarters
  1964. >drawn from memory
1965. >she tells Casey that she and Ryan are going to enter in through the back and take care of any guards there are back there
1966. >Sasha and Jimi are going to go in through the front
  1967. >create a distraction
  1968. >wait
  1969. >what about you?
1970. >what are you going to do in this?
1971. >"You're going to go into their HQs with a fake business proposal. While you're in his fancy meeting room we'll be kicking ass and trimming the family tree."
  1972. >that made you a little worried
1973. >if the bartender was any indication, there might be some trouble
1974. >"If you're worried about it, don't worry! I got you a three piece suit! You'll look the part."
1975. >all you could do was nod
1976. >where would your weapons go?
1977. >"You'll still be able to hide a few guns on you. Don't give me that look! You can't just walk in there armed to the teeth like you have been since we left that meat processing place."
  1978. >try to think of a rebuttal
  1979. >can't
  1980. >nod your head
1981. >look out the glazed windows to see that it's getting pretty dark now
1982. >sleep starts to cloud your eyes
1983. >maybe all that running around today was catching up to you
1984. >"H-h-hey guys. I'm gon' take this bed o'er here."
1985. >Ryan waved at you and fell beak first into one of the two beds
1986. >"I'll take the couch if that's fine."
1987. >Casey hops onto the couch
1988. >Jimi is just in the corner stoned out of his gourd
1989. >he's got the recliner all right
  1990. >that left
  1991. >oh
  1992. >that left one bed
1993. >Sasha sends a light punch into your shoulder
1994. >"Come on. Don't give me that look! It's not a death sentence."
1995. >still, sleeping next to a tiger that could probably bench press you wasn't really high on your "to do" list
  1996. >reluctantly get into bed
1997. >face away from the tiger
1998. >it took a while to fall asleep, but you did after nearly an hour
  1999.
  2000. ---
  2001.
2002. >the light was just starting to shine through the windows
2003. >you could feel a slight pain in your shoulders when you awoke
2004. >pulling the blanket up, you saw a pair of claws holding you incredibly close
2005. >a little bit of blood trickled down
  2006. >try to look back
  2007. >can't
2008. >large mounds of white fur on both sides of your head
2009. >face facing towards the wall
  2010. >thankfully
2011. >you didn't fancy getting smothered by tiger tits
  2012. >not while sleeping
  2013. >or right now
2014. >slowly but surely slip free of her vice grip
2015. >stand as still as you can and get your best "figure of authority" voice ready
  2016. >cough
2017. >"ALRIGHT YOU FILTHY MAGGOTS! I WANT YOU ALL UP AND AT 'EM IN ONE MINUTE! DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR, NANCY? GET YOUR ASS OFF THE GRASS AND BACK IN FIGHTIN' FORM!"
2018. >chuckle when you see four people bolt out of bed and get dressed and ready for action in no less than thirty seconds
2019. >take your suit to the bathroom and change in private
2020. >it took you a good five minutes
2021. >come out of the bathroom to see nobody moved
  2022. >good
2023. >there's hope for them yet
2024. >"For those who don't remember or were too indisposed last night, here's a rundown. Ryan, you're sneaking in the back with Casey. Jimi? You're going in with Sasha, guns blazing. Me? I'm a distraction."
  2025. >tighten your tie
  2026. >not too tight
2027. >"I have to act like a business man. While I'm in there acting like an idiot, you're all going to do your jobs. Flawlessly, I might add."
2028. >they nod and then relax right afterwards
2029. >"I'm going to head there now. Ryan, Casey, you leave now and make your way around to their building. Jimi and Sasha are going to leave five minutes after I do."
2030. >"Alright Anon, just don't get yourself killed."
  2031. >shoot a glance at Ryan
  2032. >"I won't."
2033. >the two birds leave the room right before you head out
  2034. >"Sasha. Good luck."
  2035. >she nods
2036. >close the door and make your way across the old arena
  2037.

  2039.
2040. >the entrance to the Rondell Family building was interesting to say the least
2041. >what must have been an over-street tunnel from the other side of Andel was haphazardly moved and installed on the opposide side
2042. >now it leads to old buildings
2043. >look through the tunnel to see a pair of guards with M-16s posted in it
  2044. >waltz through like a business man
2045. >they gave you a quick nod before going back to their position
2046. >across from the bridge I could see a man in a dapper suit
2047. >a mid-40s man with his blond hair slicked back
  2048. >blue eyes
  2049. >looks like a slick fella
2050. >"Hello! My name's Edward Rondell. I take it you have business to discuss?"
  2051. >nod
2052. >he starts to escort you through the hallways and towards his meeting room
2053. >the entire time you walked there was nearly two dozen armed men throughout the building
  2054. >okay
  2055. >now you're a little more worried
2056. >you finally get ushered into through an ornate gold and wood door
  2057. >a lavish meeting room
  2058. >mahogany table
2059. >plush chairs with red velvet cushioning
  2060. >really nice
2061. >"Now, I know why you're here. You need someone taken care of don'tcha? You seem the sort that caused all sort of ilk to despise you. I should know, I'm the same way."
2062. >you look back to the door
2063. >see two guard come in and stand on either side of him
  2064. >a lion with a Remington 870 Express
  2065. >and a Zebra with an Armalite AR-10
2066. >"Don't worry, these walls are soundproof. No eavesdroppers here."
  2067. >boy howdy
  2068.
  2069. ---
  2070.
2071. >several minutes pass by while the two of you talk business
2072. >you're not entirely sure if he knows about the plan
2073. >that bartender that was eavesdropping yesterday kept coming to the forefront of you mind
2074. >just barely hear some noises coming from underneath the door
2075. >Edward looks at you with half lidded eyes
2076. >"I already know you've been talking shit this entire time. Drop the act. You and your friends are going to die here. Rosco, do it."
2077. >the lion points his shotgun directly at you
2078. >no time to pull out your Rhino
2079. >try to get out of your seat and dodge
  2080. >the Remington 870 in the Lion's hands bellows
2081. >a hunk of metal slams into your side
  2082. >fuck
  2083. >you've been reservoir dogged
2084. >now you're laying against the wall opposite Edward and his lackies
  2085. >pain racing through you
2086. >"Alright Rosco, Jamie, get out there and stop this asshat's friends. Get that bonus to the bartender up at the Nosebleed too."
2087. >the two guards departed right after
2088. >Rondell was just sitting in his seat looking down at you with amusement
2089. >"Bet you didn't think I had that bartender on my payroll. Makes sense. If you did, you would have found a place better than a bugged room to discuss your plans to kill me."
2090. >that didn't even occur to you that there might be bugs in your hotel room
2091. >you grasp your side and try to put pressure on the wound
  2092. >it's not helping
  2093. >"Oh god. This fucking hurts. I thought I p-paid for a dark blue suit, n-not a crimson one."
  2094. >try to chuckle
  2095. >nope
  2096. >just coughing and wheezing
2097. >the door to the room breaks off it's hinges while an orange and black shape screeched in through the doorway
2098. >Sasha look over towards you to see blood staining your suit and the carpet
2099. >keeps her gun trained on Edward while picking you up
2100. >throws your right arm around her waist and pulls you towards Rondell
2101. >"Alright, you sack of shit. You not only tried to have me killed, but then you tried to kill my friend? Fucking asshole."
2102. >the AAC Honey Badger in her arm barks out a duo of shots
2103. >they smack into his kneecaps, sending him splaying into the ground
2104. >Sasha hobbles you over to him
2105. >maybe she expects some sort of one liner
2106. >the thoughts racing through your head had all been directed to the searing pain in your side
  2107. >now?
2108. >now you had the perfect line to say at this moment
2109. >while he was grasping at his shattered knees you pulled out your Rhino 20DS
2110. >your hand forming perfectly to the grip
2111. >"I call this one "Mind Eraser, No Chaser"."
2112. >a .357 Magnum round barrels into his head, sending blood gushing from the entrance
2113. >while the event was stunning, you really had to deal with this pain in your side
2114. >it grew worse every few seconds
2115. >that was until you passed out from it
2116. >only then were you granted any sort of reprieve

2141. >that made it easier to feel it rattling around inside
  2142. >'Oh god. I'm going to die aren't I?'
2143. >no, no you're not going to die
  2144. >you had a few hours
  2145. >maybe
2146. >if Reservoir Dogs was any indication
2147. >if it wasn't, then Hollywood is a pack of liars
  2148. >wait

2151. >try to sit up again
  2152. >pushed back down

2154. >shout towards Ryan and ask him how far until we're there
2155. >"I've been driving full throttle for nearly an hour. It shouldn't be too much longer!"
2156. >see Sasha look through the windshield
2157. >"Is that it up ahead?"
2158. >"Yeah! We aren't going to wait for the gate to be opened though!"
2159. >what did he mean by that
  2160. >shit
  2161. >what did he mean?
2162. >the vehicle slams through the gate and comes to a grinding halt as fast as possible
2163. >Sasha picked you up and carried you in through the underground entrance while Jimi and Casey stayed behind
2164. >probably to keep the people from bum-rushing you
2165. >the maze underground didn't get any better the second time
2166. >especially with Sasha frantically running through the halls looking for the doctor
2167. >"Don't worry, Anon, we're going to get you taken care of. There isn't a chance in hell that fucker in black is taking you. Not today, not tomorrow, not ever!"
2168. >she finally busted through a door and was met with a snow white dog's maw
  2169. >"Anon! What are you d-"
2170. >Sasha realized he was the doctor almost immediately by the lab coat and the red cross on the wall behind him
2171. >"He's hurt bad Doc. Please, you have to help him!"
2172. >she carries you to the bed and gently sets you down
2173. >"Don't worry, ma'am, I've helped him before and I'll help him again."
2174. >Doc' pulls out a few syringes and injects them into you
2175. >"Painkillers and local anesthetics. I don't want you feeling it while I'm rooting around inside."
2176. >then a mask was deposited over your face
2177. >"Now for the anesthesia. Just in case. Can't be too sure when dealing with supplies older than you are."
2178. >you're out like a light in moments
  2179.
  2180. ---
  2181.
  2182. >back into the void
2183. >your dreams have been increasingly weird over the last week
2184. >first you had that vivid and colorful dream in the military checkpoint
2185. >then there was that nuke dream with that wolf you killed
  2186. >then... nothing
2187. >just the void every time you slept since
2188. >a bright light flashes through the dark
  2189. >reds and oranges
  2190. >more nukes?
  2191. >no
2192. >the light is accompanied by loud explosions
  2193. >gunshots
2194. >you stand straight up and see a bunch of different people kneeling in a line
2195. >each with a copy of you behind them
2196. >your signature revolver pointed at their heads
2197. >the wolf man was furthest right
2198. >he still had dirt and grime on him
  2199. >then there was Harrison
2200. >bullet wound already in his head
2201. >then there was the human from the meat processing place
  2202. >cleaver still in hand
2203. >then the final two were side by side
  2204. >a man in a balaclava
  2205. >and Edward Rondell
2206. >the wolf on the right spoke up
2207. >"All I wanted to do was live. I couldn't run any more from that bastard Rondell. I just wanted somewhere to call my own... then you came along and took that from me."
2208. >the copy of you behind the wolf clicked back the revolver and shot it
2209. >your copy had a stone still face
2210. >as the bullet entered the wolf's head, the body slowly started disappearing
  2211. >next was Harrison
2212. >"Me? I've seen the horrors your kind inflict on anthros. Hell, I had to kill dozens of the fuckers so my town could be safe from the violence your people would inflict on them just because they didn't look the same."
2213. >another bullet and another body disappeared
2214. >the butcher didn't have anything to say before getting shot
  2215. >balaclava man speaks next
2216. >"I was just doing my job. If you didn't shoot me, we could have solved it peacefully."
2217. >then he gets the same treatment
2218. >your copy behind Edward Rondell fazed out of existence
2219. >then your own body started moving on it's own accord
2220. >your Rhino materializing in hand
2221. >"I call this one "Mind Eraser, No Chaser"."
2222. >he goes away just as the others before him
  2223. >then the voices start
2224. >all of them at the same time
  2225. >barraging your ears
2226. >everything you've done so far was coming to a head
2227. >you couldn't even hear your own thoughts anymore
  2228. >the voices won't stop
2229. >they overpowered your body, sending you into the ground and clutching your ears
  2230.
  2231. ---
  2232.
  2233. >you wake up with a start
2234. >sterile, pristine white room with a blue curtain drawn around your bed
2235. >you're hooked up to a heart monitor
2236. >your left hand currently resting in the paw of a tiger woman
  2237. >right
  2238. >you're in the Doc's office again
2239. >try to make sense of the dream you had
2240. >maybe it's your subconscious trying to justify each death your being here has caused
2241. >the wolf was just protecting his home from a thief
  2242. >Harrison dying wasn't bad
2243. >he said that he killed humans on the basis that some humans were murderers
  2244. >the butcher's death was completely justified
  2245. >hm
2246. >maybe your dreams can help you in the long run
2247. >shake the thoughts out of your head and look to your left
2248. >Sasha was leaning against the bed, lightly snoring in her sleep
2249. >if she wasn't a head or more taller than you it would have been cuter
2250. >try to wrestle your hand from her paw
2251. >her grip wasn't letting it go anytime soon
  2252. >well
2253. >might as well check out the damage
2254. >lift up the blanket with your free hand
2255. >looks like some old bandages held onto your skin with bandage tape
2256. >it reminds you of that gash you had from the car crash
2257. >try to determine what time it is
2258. >you hear the ticks of a clock nearby
  2259. >damn it
  2260. >it's behind the curtains
2261. >you try to pull your hand from Sasha's paw again
  2262. >"Ugh..."
2263. >seems you woke up the sleeping tiger
  2264. >"What i-. Anon! You're awake!"
2265. >she wiped the sleep out of her eyes before looking right at you
2266. >"I've gotta admit it. I wasn't too sure about that doctor but he did a good job... Though his unnecessary digging around in there was worrying."
2267. >that got you in the questioning mood
2268. >you ask Sasha how long you were out
2269. >"He, uh, had to put you under for a while. It's been a week."
2270. >so you've been here for two weeks, one of which has been in a coma
  2271. >lovely
2272. >at least the pain in your side wasn't there
  2273. >not now at least
  2274. >try to get up
2275. >Sasha pushes you back into your bed
2276. >"Doc' said you can't get up until you've been awake for a few hours. The stuff in the IV should have you ready by then."
2277. >she points at a nearby IV stand that is hooked up to the same arm she was holding
2278. >try to think of something to say
  2279. >"Hey An-"
  2280. >"What was t-"
  2281. >damn it
  2282. >not this again
2283. >try to wait it out
  2284. >she doesn't say anything
  2285. >"What were y-"
  2286. >"I wanted to s-"
  2287. >fuck it
2288. >"What was the doc' do-"
2289. >seemed Sasha had the same idea as you did
  2290. >fuck it
2291. >her face was in front of yours in an instant
2292. >you'd never seen her eyes up close before
  2293. >amber
2294. >they bore into you like a drill
2295. >you attempt to say something before getting cut off by her
2296. >her thin lips pressed up against yours, whiskers tickling your face
2297. >you chuckled at the feeling when she broke the kiss
2298. >"Been waiting to do that for a week."
  2299. >she's huffing a little
2300. >was that really that draining on her?
2301. >Sasha looks right into your eyes
2302. >"This last week has been an eye opener for me. I doesn't matter that I've only known you for a week. Hell, I'd still feel the same if you didn't save me from that butcher. Seeing the hole in your side from that lion's shotgun made me realize. I..."
2303. >tears form in her eyes
2304. >"I don't care if it makes me look weak, I love you Anon. Don't go scaring me like that again. If you do, then I'll chase you all the way down to hell and pull you back out."
2305. >ever since that conversation outside of the Walmart on Pine Avenue, you've been contemplating what she meant
2306. >you guess this was it
  2307. >she loved you
2308. >the question was did you love her?
2309. >you'd only known her for two days
2310. >you saved her from the black market organ dealers, from that cougar that attacked her, and agreed to go into Rondell's HQs just because she planned it out
2311. >if Ryan was your friend, then Sasha was easily a few steps above that
2312. >you connected more with the Tiger woman than anyone else here
2313. >especially on guns and alcohol
2314. >though violence wasn't your cuppa, you had to fight for your life as often as you breath in this world
2315. >maybe having someone that genuinely cares for you wouldn't be a bad thing
2316. >then again, you think back to your life before coming here
  2317.
  2318. 0-0-0-0-0
  2319.
2320. >here you were, wedged between two family members in a five seater
  2321. >driving down to Florida
2322. >a family visit to Epcot
2323. >after your father passed away from a work related accident a few weeks ago, your family decided to use some of the life insurance money to get your mind off of it
2324. >"Does anyone have to use the bathroom?"
2325. >your mother said from the driver's seat
2326. >she pulled into the McD's at the closest exit
2327. >it took you a moment to get out of the car, but when you did you made your way into the restroom
  2328. >"Damn it."
2329. >it wasn't even month since you turned 18 and you were stuck on a family trip
2330. >relieve yourself and head back to where the car was parked
2331. >9:00 PM and completely empty
2332. >the only light coming from the restaurants and gas stations along the road
2333. >you pull out your early era smart phone to see a trio of texts pop up
2334. >"haha idiot, hope you like it!"
2335. >"don't bother looking for us, we're long gone!"
  2336. >"faggot"
2337. >your family left you at a McDonalds in Bumfuck, West Virginia
  2338. >no money
2339. >just your ID, your wallet, and the last thing your dad had ever given to you
  2340. >a hat
2341. >the last thing your dad had given you was a hat from the concert the two of you had gone to
2342. >you slipped it on tight and headed out to the road
2343. >a month of walking and hitchhiking back home left you bitter and angry
2344. >no home to go back to, no money in your bank account
2345. >just goes to show that family isn't blood
2346. >it's who sticks by you in the end
  2347.
  2348. 0-0-0-0-0
  2349.
2350. >the thoughts in your head dissipate when you look back into Sasha's eyes
2351. >you already knew the answer deep down, but the memories helped to reaffirm it
  2352. >"Ah-hem."
  2353. >damn it
2354. >the Doc' was back in town
  2355. >"Am I interrupting something?"
  2356. >cough a few times
2357. >Sasha retreats back to her seat
  2358. >"No, go ahead Doc'."
2359. >he takes a piece of paper from his clipboard and hands it to you
2360. >"I'll give you a moment to look over it."
2361. >it took you a second to fully understand what it was saying
  2362. >some sort of code
2363. >the letters from some of the words were capitalized
2364. >you wouldn't be able to tell if you just skimmed over it
2365. >-GET ME OUT OF HERE ANON-
  2366. >something must've happened after you left
2367. >you hand the note back to him and nod
2368. >whisper towards Sasha and ask her where your guns are
  2369. >"Right here."
2370. >she pulls them out from under your bed and hands them to you
2371. >most of them were here
2372. >the Rhino, SVI Infinity, your Auto-5, and the Marlin
  2373. >where'd the VP9 go?
2374. >"It's in the van we took from those fucks. The rickshaws wouldn't get us here fast enough."
2375. >ask her what kind of van it is
2376. >"One of those old city transit buses for old people."
  2377. >ah
  2378. >those always looked a little interesting
2379. >sling the Marlin over your shoulder while you get up slowly
2380. >pull out the IV and tear the heart monitor clamp off
2381. >charge the Auto-5 and put your arm around Sasha's waist
2382. >she does the same with the Honey Badger
  2383.
  2384. ---
  2385.
2386. >"I, uh, I think we might have gone overboard."
2387. >Ryan said while looking at the body slumped over the overpass railing
2388. >there had to be nearly a baker's dozen bodies strewn around Under-I from the gunfight
  2389. >your guns were dry
2390. >Sasha's ran out halfway through so you had to throw her the .45
2391. >Casey pulled a TEC-9 from somewhere and rained lead
  2392. >Jimi?
2393. >he was too busy getting high in the van to notice everything
2394. >just shake your head while you lie with your back to the van's grill
2395. >"Just get their guns, their ammo, and let's get out of here."
2396. >pull yourself along the van and through the open doors
2397. >get to the back seats and lie down
2398. >see another bullet hole in your side
  2399. >god damn it
2400. >you just got this one fixed
2401. >the doctor rushes in a few moments later with a handful of duffle bags and satchels
2402. >Sasha follows with an armful of guns
2403. >Ryan hops into the drivers seat
2404. >Casey jumps into the open door and finds a front seat
2405. >sit up so the tiger can sit down
2406. >think of something to say
  2407. >it came to mind
2408. >"Alright people, here's how it's going to go. We drive back down to Andel first. Then we grab our supplies and find a way to transport them well enough in this thing. We take the leather and gas from the rickshaws afterwards. If anyone tries to stop us, split up and meet back at the Nosebleed."
2409. >the group all shout "Yeah!" in response
2410. >you're coming into this leadership thing really well
2411. >relax back in your seat while the doctor does what he can to treat your new gunshot wound
2412. >Sasha squeezes your hand tightly every time she sees you wince
2413. >the metal is eventually plucked out and deposited in a small baggy
2414. >you're about to ask why he didn't just dispose of it, but get interupted by the van lurching forward and speeding away from the carnage
  2415. >boy howdy
  2416.
2417. >it took an hour of high speed driving to get back to Andel, and we were welcomed in with warm arms
  2418. >wat.jpg
2419. >wait, wait, it makes sense
2420. >if what Richard Rank had said was true, then the townsfolk would be more than happy to be rid of the Rondell Family
2421. >after your van parks in an indoor parking spot, the entire group splits up
2422. >you and Sasha are headed to the Nosebleed to take care of some unfinished business
2423. >Jimi and Ryan took $300 to go and look for materials to spruce up the transit van
2424. >then Casey and the Doc' were going to get everything from her little hole-in-the-wall store
2425. >as you rounded the corner, Sasha stopped you
2426. >"You're sure you're fine to fight? You only got up a little over an hour ago."
  2427. >wave her off
2428. >"Like you said, Sasha, if I die you'll claw your way through hell just to get me back."
2429. >elbow her in the side
2430. >if anthros could blush, she'd be crimson
2431. >"A-anyways, your gun is fully loaded right?"
2432. >pull the Rhino from your pocket, pull the hammer back, and roll the cylinder like a roulette wheel
2433. >"All six shots primed and raring to go."
2434. >the two of you stood on the other side of the Nosebleed's door
  2435. >ready to shoot
2436. >did you really want to do this?
  2437. >yes
  2438. >snitches get stitches
2439. >your right foot slams into the door right next to the lock
2440. >sending it right off it's hinges and falling to the floor
2441. >not from your strength, no
2442. >but because it was haphazardly installed
2443. >your gun aims for the bartender behind the counter
2444. >in a moment he had an old school side-by-side double barrel out and ready for action
2445. >run over to a nearby table and flip it
  2446. >*BANG*BANG*
2447. >the slugs he was using blasted through the table like it was paper
  2448. >damn it Hollywood
2449. >he had to reload now
2450. >jump over the table, slide over another, and rush the counter
2451. >the bartender was fumbling while reloading
  2452. >now's your chance
2453. >grab him by the collar and force his back onto the bar
  2454. >head over the side
2455. >second idea pops into your head
2456. >send a full body right straight into his face
  2457. >audible crack
  2458. >he's down
  2459. >not dead
  2460. >unconscious
2461. >take the shotgun and shells from him
2462. >then came the best idea you've had in days
2463. >mainly because you were in a coma, but who's judging?
2464. >"Sasha! Get a crate or two! We're taking all the booze!"
2465. >that put a smile on her face
2466. >she rushed upstairs to get back what we left here, then grabbed a few wooden crates from nearby
2467. >there were several dozen kinds of beer and ale in 12 oz. bottles
2468. >then came all the good stuff
2469. >scotch, bourbon, irish whiskey, vodka, hard cider, wines of all kinds, rum, even mead
  2470. >fuck was it beautiful
2471. >you pried the cap off of an old, cheap beer and downed it
2472. >it had been too long since you saw something this nice
2473. >start looking under the counter
2474. >find some cream, salt, different mixes, sugar
2475. >this place was incredibly well stocked for a place that was under Rondell's boot
  2476. >fuck
  2477. >you didn't think of that
2478. >Rondell must have been hitting caravans and giving his informant some of the alcohol
2479. >take one of the short glasses, pour in some vodka, some coffee liqueur, and then the cream
  2480. >mmm
  2481. >white russian
2482. >let's just hope you don't get mistaken for someone else with the last name Anonson
2483. >make one for Sasha as well
2484. >if you're both here, you may as well enjoy it
2485. >just as you finish making it you see Ryan walk through the door
  2486. >"Whoa, what happened here?"
2487. >did you tell Ryan about the bartender being part of the Rondell Family?
2488. >tell him just in case you didn't before
2489. >"I'll go tell the guards to come get him then."
  2490. >he leaves the Nosebleed
2491. >that left you with Sasha
2492. >grab the bottle of vodka, coffee liqueur, cream, and the drinks you poured
2493. >bring them over to a wraparound booth nearby
2494. >Sasha grabs her drink and sits across from you
2495. >for a few moments it was really awkward
2496. >yet here you were, sitting across from the tiger that said she loved you
2497. >you still hadn't responded to her question
2498. >drink a little of your white russian
  2499. >she does the same
  2500. >damn it
  2501. >this wasn't going to be easy
  2502. >"So... Anon. How's the drink?"
  2503. >it was pretty good
2504. >especially since you hadn't had one of these in the longest time
2505. >"So, did you happen to think about what I said earlier? Before the Doc' interrupted us I mean."
2506. >your heart felt like it was in your throat
  2507. >beating like a jackhammer
2508. >it was like your heart was traveling without moving
2509. >without a second thought you blurted it out
2510. >"I love you too Sasha."
2511. >she slowly moved from the seat across from you to the open spot to your left
  2512. >"You mean it right?"
2513. >you nod your head before she wraps her arm around you
  2514. >pulling you in close
  2515. >wew lad
2516. >you wish you had a rag to dab the increasingly worse sweat coming from your forehead
2517. >the tiger tit currently pressed into your side wasn't making it any better
  2518. >shetypedintheletterp.gif
2519. >down the rest of your drink in a single go
2520. >if this wasn't luxury, you didn't know what was
2521. >mixed drinks, an empty bar, and a wily woman next to you
2522. >upper class here you are
2523. >pour yourself another round while Andel guards hauled off the unconscious bartender
  2524. >ah
  2525. >the lap of luxury
  2526.
  2527. =-=-=-=-=
  2528. Chapter 9: Brick House
  2529. =-=-=-=-=
  2530.
2531. >sitting here with Sasha and getting tanked started getting more fun
2532. >as your new friend group (now with the Doc') started showing up, you drank another white russian
2533. >the tiger to your right started in on another herself, along with a shot of "Johnny Balm's Woodword Reserve" whiskey
2534. >after she's poured herself a shot, take the bottle from the table and get yourself one too
2535. >if anything is gonna happen, it's gonna need to be done drunk
2536. >only because you're sure she'd break your pelvis in
2537. >down the shot and start in on half of a white russian
2538. >Ryan, your Leghorn chicken friend, slid into the booth across from you two
2539. >"So, that bartender huh? The guards that took care of him said to leave at least two six packs behind."
2540. >get up from the booth slowly and make your way towards the crates of alcohol
2541. >find two packs of some sort of local beer from before the bombs
  2542. >"Creator's"
2543. >bring them out to the two guards outside the shop
  2544. >they're thankful for it
2545. >back to the booth, and before you know it Sasha had her arm around your shoulders
2546. >all Sasha did was down another shot and shoot you a toothy grin
2547. >Ryan seemed a little more skittish after that
2548. >Casey, the town's chemist, slid in the booth right next to Ryan
2549. >Jimi is off doing god knows what
2550. >and the Doc is probably off reading notes
2551. >all that matters right now is taking your mind off of last week's events
2552. >getting out of Under-I earlier put it into perspective
2553. >this place really is kill or be killed
2554. >having even one escape, be it a woman, a bottle, or whatever Jimi does, can keep your sanity
2555. >take the shot glass from Sasha
2556. >pour another a shot, down it, and do one more
2557. >"There we go! About time we saw you really cut loose. Gotta make up for the week you were in a coma, right?"
2558. >Ryan chuckled and put back some of his beer
2559. >"You're one to talk, Foghorn. You're only drinking a beer."
2560. >Casey elbowed him in his ribs
2561. >instinctively move, but he didn't spit out his drink
2562. >he swallowed and slammed the beer on the table
2563. >"T-That's only because the last time I had drank a full bottle to myself, I couldn't fight off that kidnapper."
2564. >the crow chuckled and grabbed the shot glass from me
2565. >think back to the night before the spleen merchant situation
2566. >he had been swigging on something for a while
2567. >thought it was water, but to each his own
2568. >she poured him a shot of the whiskey and held it up to him
2569. >"You're not going to let Anon drink you under the table are you?"
  2570. >well
  2571. >seems maybe there'll be a contest
2572. >"I'm not gonna just sit here-"
2573. >Sasha hopped over the back of the booth and walked over behind the counter
2574. >"-while you two drink, you know. I'm gonna get in on this."
2575. >seven shot glasses, another bottle of whiskey, and a crate of beer were plopped on the table a few moments later
  2576. >alcoholpoisoningdoesntexist.jpg
2577. >there is that old adage
2578. >beer before liquor, never been sicker
2579. >look up towards the room entrances on the upper floor of the Nosebleed
2580. >Jimi stumbles out a door slowly, along with a wafting of smoke pouring out
2581. >almost falls down the stairs but makes it down in one piece
2582. >Sasha cracks the lid on the crate and tosses two beers at the dread-head
2583. >somehow manages to catch them
  2584. >"Woah, how'd you know I wanted beer?"
2585. >the tiger has you move over further into the booth before sitting down
2586. >"If you're not drinking and you're in Andel, what are you doing?"
2587. >she chuckled before throwing her right arm around your shoulders
  2588. >"Besides, we're celebrating *this*-"
  2589. >she squeezed you
  2590. >"-guy's near death recovery!"
2591. >she poured eight shots worth of whiskey out before passing two to everyone other than Jimi, who pulled up a chair to the booth end
2592. >"Sorry Jimi, you'll have to get a shot glass if you're drinking this."
  2593. >he shakes his head
2594. >"Beer before liquor, never been sicker."
  2595. >Ryan goes white as a ghost
2596. >look over to see four beers down already
2597. >he still accepts the shots Sasha pushed his way
  2598. >what a trooper
2599. >once we all had our drinks we started in on it
  2600.
2601. >what felt like hours passed while the five of you got drunk
2602. >whiskey shots, vodka, more white russians, and eventually the beer
2603. >you learn a lot about them during this
2604. >Sasha talked a lot about the jobs she would take while working under Rondell
2605. >sticking up caravans headed north
2606. >robbing that Pawn & Gun down on the main floor
2607. >when you followed her story up with your own, the entire table couldn't stop laughing
  2608. >"Like a boomerang? What the fuck?"
2609. >Ryan told some stories about when he was still a scout for Under-I
2610. >he had actually searched the Walmart a few weeks prior to you arriving
2611. >the wolf man must not have been home at the time
2612. >it ended up being mostly stories of finding people after getting attacked by the wildlife
  2613. >never a good thing
2614. >Casey explains how she came to be a chemist in town
2615. >it started with a fascination for wintergreen when she was younger
2616. >making anything from it turned into a career for her, and that eventually turned into an interest in chemicals and, most importantly, poisons
2617. >that reminds you never to cross her
2618. >poisons are hard to detect if you don't know what you're looking for
2619. >you think you heard that before
2620. >Jimi told us about how he had originally started working for Casey when he found these plants of some sort and started selling it alongside her own medicines
2621. >you can imagine what kind of plants he found
2622. >has the smoke from upstairs even cleared out?
  2623. >shake your head
2624. >he eventually needed a second job because of the lack of caravans in town, and got hired as a driver for Rondell
2625. >he had been the driver on several of the jobs Sasha had taken, so that's why they had known each other
2626. >Doc had come and gone in the middle of it, having only come out of one of the first floor rooms to check on the noise the group had been making
2627. >by the time the sun had went down, everyone was drunk and happy
2628. >a much needed relief from the last two weeks of your life
2629. >from being a no-skill wagecuck with a hobby of driving to getting crushed and shot near to death
2630. >something about it is alluring in a way
2631. >the smell of gunpowder sticking to your nostrils
2632. >sounds the guns make when you shoot them
2633. >clinking of the brass casings on the ground
  2634. >racking a slide
  2635. >clicking back a hammer
2636. >knowing that even if you get hurt, there's a group of people that are willing to fight with you
2637. >kind of like a dysfunctional family that doesn't leave you in a McD's parking lot
2638. >but this one feels right
  2639. >just right
2640. >look across the table at Ryan, who's polishing off another beer
2641. >slur something out about him going to bed sometime soon
  2642. >"I-I-*hic*-I know. We're g-gonna do shomethin-*hic* about the bus t-tomorrow right?"
2643. >nod while taking another swig of the beer in your hand
2644. >Sasha has spent the entire time with at least one of her hands on you
2645. >around your shoulder, on your thigh
  2646. >but even more lewdly
  2647. >((the hand))
2648. >she looked down towards you and motioned for the two of you to stand up
2649. >stagger your way up and look at her
2650. >those beautiful amber irises boring into you
2651. >she broke the eye contact and waved towards the two birds and Jimi
2652. >"We're headed off to *hic* bed."
2653. >Casey waves while Jimi takes a rolled cigarette from his hawaiian shirt pocket
2654. >lights it up and waves us off
2655. >as you take another step forward, her paw grabs your hand, pulling you along with
2656. >every step you could feel your heart starting to pound harder
2657. >it had been a while since you had any sort of action
2658. >Sasha opens the door and ushers you in
  2659.
2660. >you hobble in and hear the door shut loudly behind you
  2661. >followed with a
  2662. >*click*
2663. >you whirl around to see her eyes already trained on you
2664. >she was on you in a moment, pushing you against a wall and hovering her muzzle above your face
2665. >the breath coming from her nose hit you
  2666. >warm
2667. >her lips pressed forward, locking with yours
2668. >as soon as you pushed forward, she pushed back twice as hard
2669. >it was like there was a real need behind it
2670. >she broke the kiss and looked right into your eyes
  2671. >"You don't kno-*hic*-w how much I've wanted to do that."
2672. >a grin covering her face
2673. >you have some idea as to how much
2674. >she leaned in and planted a kiss on the left side of your neck before slowly kneeling in front of you
2675. >her paws went right for the button and zipper of your pants
2676. >help out a little and pull them down
2677. >it didn't take anything more than that before she buried her face in your crotch
  2678. >taking deep breaths
2679. >"God, I thought sitting over you for a week was bad... You *hic* had me in a rut the entire time."
2680. >Sasha looked up and shot you a toothy grin
2681. >try to keep your composure while she gave you a tentative lick
2682. >followed by a more confident, longer go up the length
2683. >in an instant she had plopped your head in her mouth and placed a paw on your hip
2684. >nearly the entire length disappeared right after
2685. >you could feel her tongue cradling the bottom of the shaft whenever she moved her mouth
2686. >that sandpaper texture you had somewhat expected wasn't there, but replaced with a more pleasurable experience
2687. >the papillae must be different than a normal tiger
  2688. >focus
2689. >look down to see Sasha's eyes half lidded as she goes to town on you
2690. >by the time you realize it, she'd been at it for a minute or two
2691. >pat her head and get her to stop
2692. >suckling it on the way off
2693. >it's time for the main course
2694. >pull her up from the floor and bring her to the bed
2695. >get her on her back
2696. >undo the button and zipper on her pants
2697. >go to pull them off
2698. >she gets one leg through and slides the rest down to her ankle
2699. >before you could take them all the way off, she grabbed your arm and pulled you down on top of her
2700. >pressing you against her crotch
2701. >Sasha's hand shot up to help guide you closer to the goal
2702. >when you finally see it, you're grinning like a dope
  2703. >she's already soaked
  2704. >go to push forward
  2705. >it slides off
2706. >this time she keeps her hand there to guide you
2707. >look down at her as your head enters her
  2708. >her breathing caught for a moment
2709. >now growing more ragged as you slowly press further
2710. >getting inch after inch deeper until you're finally into the furthest reaches you can get to
2711. >her arms wrapped around your neck
2712. >hold yourself up with the bed as you begin pistoning yourself in and out of her
2713. >slowly getting faster and faster
2714. >in your drunken haze, you're certain your footing kept slipping while you went at it
2715. >each moan she made sending you further and further into that rut you didn't realize you were in
2716. >her cold nose pressed into your neck while she purrs under you
2717. >enjoying every last moment you're giving her
2718. >fall onto your elbow, pressing up against her even more
2719. >pulling her tank top up to reveal her breasts
2720. >take one in your hand while pounding away
2721. >look up to see her covering her face
2722. >"D-Don't *hic* look at me like that!"
2723. >stutter out something between pumps about her act dropping fast
2724. >that you're more than happy to take charge in the bedroom
2725. >put even more into your frantic and heavy thrusts
2726. >her back arched even more as you moved both your hands to her hips
2727. >just that leverage was what you needed to get further into it
2728. >before you knew it, she had your head in her chest and her purrs got even louder
2729. >feel that all too familiar feeling deep in you
  2730. >a swelling
  2731. >mention this to Sasha
2732. >she immediately threw her legs around your waist, pulling you as deep as possible
2733. >those strong arms found their way around your back
2734. >her paws nearly stuck to your back with how far her claws were out
  2735. >can't pull out
2736. >those legs could probably crush your head like a melon
2737. >no getting out of this situation now
  2738. >stop holding back
2739. >a few more thrusts and it came
2740. >rope after rope shot into her, each renewing the purring from the tiger under you
2741. >as you finished, the haze and drinks finally caught up to you
2742. >all you could hear for the few moments before passing out was a thank you
  2743.
2744. >wake up in a mass of short fur
2745. >hear a song faintly coming from the bar's stereo system outside the door
2746. >~"-she's mighty mighty, just letting it all hang out."~
  2747. >take a minute to look around
2748. >Sasha was laying against you with a dopey grin on her sleeping face
2749. >the room could be described as barebones if anything
2750. >a desk, a pair of beds, and an overhead light wired haphazardly to the middle of the ceiling
2751. >the longer you look around, the more of last night that you start to remember
  2752. >the drinking
2753. >the idle chatter between people
2754. >Sasha taking you to the room
2755. >pat her on the back lightly while staring at the dark wooden ceiling
2756. >she rouses from her sleep slowly, gluing her eyes to yours when she realizes you're still there
2757. >"Sorry, I'm just... just not used to waking up like this."
2758. >assure her its fine, she wasn't bothering you at all
  2759. >her fur was a good insulator
2760. >seeing as this place probably didn't have any insulation
2761. >as she moves a little, the blanket covering you two falls
2762. >get an eyeful of the tiger and smirk
  2763. >absolutely stacked
  2764. >a brick house
