“Hmm. This will get us nowhere,” the UEG suddenly said. Naturally, even Touichirou was shocked by this attitude after destroying a completely unrelated universe. However, he could hardly complain, as he’d been just as active a participant in the destruction. “Very well, let us move on to the next stage of our test!”

Light burst from the UEG’s body. In an instant, the universe around them was completely burned. The attack struck in literally every direction possible, leaving no room to run or hide. It would be pointless for Touichirou to do the same thing. It was an attack that could burn an entire universe to nothing. There would be no canceling it out, only overpowering it.

He would have to defend against it, but that wouldn’t be so difficult. He just needed to go to another universe. He fled to a parallel world, one where a disaster like the UEG had never appeared.

“I thought this place had nothing to do with her, but it’s already a mess...”

“That is because I was never here. I would strike down anyone who attempted to sow such chaos in my own world.”

“Dammit!”

The UEG unleashed light again. Touichirou fled to yet another parallel world, but her light was already there. He tried to flee again, but the UEG was always one step ahead. In the end, his only option was to take the attack head on.

“Hmm. Though I was holding back, I am impressed you survived.”

“Now it’s my turn!” He had been unmotivated before, but he was starting to feel the urge to fight back.

Touichirou headed to a universe governed by entirely different laws and blasted away the one he had just come from. He also blew away all the parallel universes derived from that universe.

“Honestly...I fail to understand what you are attempting to do in blasting away all the parallel universes like that.” The UEG appeared behind him, calm and composed.

“I don’t want to hear that from you.”

She had followed him from an entirely different world first, so it was no surprise she could follow him here as well. Now what would follow would be even greater tragedy. They would both leap between universes, trying to predict their opponent’s moves and blow away their destination before they made it there. They would move outside of the multiverse containing their opponent's universe and attack that universe from there. As they did, their opponent would jump to an even higher level universe and attempt the same thing.

There should have been no end to the cycle, but suddenly there was. Touichirou’s attack had annihilated the universe containing the UEG.

“Is it over?” They had annihilated universes endlessly. He was naturally exhausted at this point and was starting to feel fed up with the whole situation.

「ふむ。 これ では 埒 が あか ん な」ＵＥＧ は 唐突 に そう 言い放っ た。 　 散々 に 無関係 な 宇宙 を 壊し 尽くし て おい ての この 態度 には、 トーイチロウ も さすが に 呆れ て しまっ た。 　 もっとも、 その 破壊 の 片棒 を 担い で しまっ て いる トーイチロウ に 文句 を 言う 資格 は ない の だろ う が。 「では、 次 の 段階 に 行ける かの テスト を してやろ う！」 　 ＵＥＧ が 全身 から 光 を 放っ た。 　 それ は 一瞬 に し て この 宇宙 を 焼き 尽くす。 逃れる 隙 など 一切 ない、 真 の 意味 での 全方位 攻撃 だ。 　 同じ よう な 攻撃 を トーイチロウ も する こと は 無意味 だろ う。 宇宙 の 全て を 焼き 尽くす 攻撃 だ。 相殺 する こと は でき ず、 ただ 威力 が 上昇 する だけ だろ う。 　 では 耐える しか ない かと いえ ば、 単純 な 解決 策 が ある。 　 別 の 宇宙 へと 逃げれ ば いい の だ。 　 トーイチロウ は、 並行 宇宙 へと 逃れ た。 ＵＥＧ など という 厄災 が やってこ なかっ た、 平和 な 宇宙 へと 移動 し た の だ。 「…… 関係 ない 宇宙 だ と 思っ て 無茶苦茶 し や がる な……」 「それ は 関係 ない の だ から 当然 だ な。 もっとも 妾 の 世界 に こんな こと を する 奴 が 来 た なら ば 即座 に 迎撃 し て やる が」 「く そっ！」ＵＥＧ が 再び 閃光 を 放つ。 　 トーイチロウ は さらに 別 の 並行 宇宙 へと 逃げ た が、 そこ は すでに ＵＥＧ の 光 で 埋め 尽くさ れ て い た。 　 攻撃 に 耐え ながら、 さらなる 並行 宇宙 へと 移動 し 続ける が、 どこ へ 行こ う が ＵＥＧ が 先回り し て いる。 　 けっきょ く、 トーイチロウ は ＵＥＧ の 攻撃 を 耐え きる しか なかっ た。 「ふむ。 手加減 し て やっ た とは いえ、 これ で 死な ぬ とはな」 「今度 は こっち の 番 だ！」 　 あまり やる気 の ない トーイチロウ だっ た が、 ここ までさ れ ては やり返し たく も なっ て き た。 　 トーイチロウ は、 まったく 別 の 物理 法則 を 持つ 宇宙 へと 転移 し た。 　 そして、 今 まで い た 宇宙 を 消し 飛ばし た。 その 宇宙 から 派生 する 全て の 並行 宇宙 をも だ。 「正直…… 並行 宇宙 全て を 消し飛ば す とか、 もう 何 を やっ とる のか わから ん の」 「あんた が 言う なよ」 　 ＵＥＧ は 平然と、 トーイチロウ の 背後 に 出現 し て い た。 　 そもそも が、 まったく 別 の 世界 から ここ に 来 て いる の だ から、 別 の 宇宙 への 移動 など お互い に でき て 当たり前 なの だ。 　 そこ からは さらなる 悲劇 と 惨劇 の 繰り返し だっ た。 　 つまり、 お互い に 宇宙 間 を 移動 し、 相手 が 移動 する 宇宙 を 予測 し て、 その 宇宙 を 消し飛ば す の だ。相手 の いる 宇宙 を 内包 する 多元 宇宙 の 外 へと 移動 し、 そこ から その 宇宙 を 攻撃 する。 　 すると さらに 相手 はより 上位 の 宇宙 へと 移動 し て 攻撃 を する の だ。 　 つまり キリ が ない の だ が、 終わり は 唐突 に 訪れ た。 　 トーイチロウ の 攻撃 が、 ＵＥＧ を 含む 宇宙 を 消滅 さ せ た の だ。 「終わっ た…… のか？」 　 延々と 続く 宇宙 の 消滅。 　 さすが に ここ までの 規模 に なる と トーイチロウ も 疲れ 果て て い た。 嫌気 が さし て き て い た の だ。
