- Recently a patent was released in Japan discussing methods for running previous PlayStation console's via backward compatibility:
- Now it is not 100% clear if this patent is for the PS5 or not, there is a small possibility that it could be for PS Now as better emulation of all these consoles would let Sony add more games to their online service, but many sites are speculating that it is for the PS5.
