Fourth Jump Snippet: Valkyrie Crusade Part 2

Previously on 'Why are I suddenly surrounded by women?'
  Valky and co had to stave off an attack from Hades and her armies. When things looked desperate Valky resorted to summoning a new Valkyrie and managed to call forth Doomed Calamity, the incarnation of ruin, equal in power to Sacred Pixie. Her deadly power and miasma quickly brought the conflict to its end.

Now:
  After Leo's little incident with the summoning, Lil' Pixie had taken to following Sacred Pixie around like something akin to a duckling. S' Pixie was obviously embarrassed but was trying staunchly to hide it. Doomed Calamity was sticking close to Valky, as Pixie had tied the sealing to her, allowing her to supply it with magic to prevent it's decay. Pixie looked like she immediately regretting telling her that the closer Calamity was to Valky, the longer the sealing would last. Calamity had taken this to the logical extreme and was now piggybacking on Valky, refusing to come down. Finally 3 days and two awkward baths later Leo and Pixie managed to convince her that she didn't need to stick THAT close and she let go. With her miasma sealed, Doomed Calamity's strength had been reduced to the level of Valky and co. This meant that unless an emergency occurred she would be acting as a support unit instead of a front line fighter.
  Speaking of fighting, after the Hades incident things had actually ramped up slightly. The demons attack had caused many a young maiden to go on a journey or quest to grow stronger, which was leading to all kinds of different shenanigans and trouble. The only upside to it was that after witnessing the group's power, a lot of the valkyries had moved into their kingdom in the hopes of finding out how to become that strong as well.
  The combination of influx of new citizen and damage done by the few minutes that Calamities miasma was unleashed had unfortunately severely damaged the kingdoms resource supplies. The various production sights and factories were only working at 50% efficiency, if that. While they were in no danger of starving, they also wouldn't be flourishing any time soon. Leo was putting her diplomat skills to the test, rough though they may be, and contacting any nearby settlements for aid in return for promised protection should they request it. Leo also maintained her luck with summoning by producing a stream of R rank valkyries each week, with an outlier SR valkyrie on the 5th week. Valky tried to also summon another powerful Valkyrie but got a steady stream of R rank Fox Spirit valkyries. She pretended she didn't hear Leo's laughter over the fact.
  About three months after the battle is when they finally got another strong fighter. They received word that the Lost Fairies had been spotted in Feywood. Lost Fairies were fairies that could become extremely powerful if bestowed with special wings, so were hunted to extinction, or so was thought. Word had quickly spread across the area that they were still alive and various factions moved to once again eliminate them. Valky quickly organised her forces to help protect the forest, not wanting to see any fairies hurt. The fairies that they saved expressed their thanks and retreated into the woods. As the battles continued, reaching near a month in length, Birdy and Leo had to deal with a small demon outbreak in another town. This left only Valky, the Pixie duo, and the various Fox spirits they had with them to protect to fairies from the remaining hunters.
  Valky had also seen over the course of the month no less than three pixies find a set of special elemental wings. The 'event' was finally put to rest when Valky witnessed a fourth fairy find a special set of wings and glow a bright red. Within a minute three other glowing fairies appeared from various directions, each shining a different colour. As one they bowed to Valky before floating upwards in a circle while holding hands and spinning. With a bright flash of light, once again marked by the sky becoming twilight, a large fairy with rainbow coloured wings slowly floated down and smiled pleasantly at Valky, even as she let off a pulse that pushed out all the hunters from the forest. Valky was interested to take note of the rather high likeability stat she had floating above her head.
  In return for their help, the Elemental Queen ("Call me Sunny") informed them that should they ever need it, the Lost Fairies would come to provide them with support. Thanking them profusely, Valky and her entourage headed back to their kingdom. They were then understandably confused when they were greeted by a smiling Sunny who waved at them as they reached the castle. She cheerfully informed them that she had come to help help upgrade their wards when she had noticed their giant mana rich tree, she indicated Yggdrasil. Seeing such a mana rich forest environment, she had instead used her power to transport a section of Feywood to the base of the tree, which was now acting as a home to the Lost Fairies. Valky could only stare, before she walked off to relax in the Onsen, thoroughly done with the day. Naturally Sunny followed her, wanting to experience this hot spring for herself.
  The next day the Feywood was noticeably more swamp like as dozens of hot springs 'miraculously' appeared overnight. Henceforth, if they wanted to find Sunny, they just had to look in one of the hot springs. Leo actually started studying under Pixie, while Valky received tuition from Sunny on elemental manipulation. With their help, over the next year Valky and Leo made great strides with their magic. Birdy was more focused on the physical aspect of training and was soon able to keep up with some of the Fantasy Archwitches with only minor support. They eventually found themselves prepared enough to make their own excursion to the infernal realms to fight Hades.
  The journey through the realms was long and hard, and they saved many a town from the clutches of demons, before they finally found themselves near Hades's castle. The throne room was empty, so they had to search the large castle in order to find Hades. They eventually found her lying in her bed, napping. Even asleep they could tell her strength had grown to rival that of a Legendary Archwitch. However when they woke her up to fight she merely blearily blinked at them, declared they had defeated her, and then went back to sleep. Not sure what to do in this situation, they decided to transport Hades back with them, with some magic to keep her from harming anyone.
  Once they were back and managed to rouse her long enough to get an explanation, they learnt that she was simply extremely sleepy now-a-days and couldn't muster the energy to actually commit to conquering the Celestial realms. She did try and seem intimidation at one point to declare that one day she would defeat all of us, but the image was spoilt somewhat by the sleepy tears in her eyes and stuffed toy in her arms. And so it was that Hades ended up living in their kingdom as well. The demon raids died down significantly when it appeared their leader was gone. Even after Hades became more active, she still seemed reluctant to cause any trouble. She claimed it was because she still rather tired, but her half-filled likeability bar made Valky doubt that was the real reason.
  I would like to say the next few years were peaceful, but that would be a lie. This being the Celestial Realms, some new problem or event seemed to pop up on Valky's radar every other week. The roster of Valkyries they had available slowly expanded, with the occasional UR rank appearing. This meant that they could afford to spread their forces across the many incidents that occurred with increasing ease. The two LR's grew closer to Valky and when she offered to take them as companions, carefully explaining what that meant, they happily accepted. Calamity had settled down in a small cottage at the edge of the kingdom, content to remain in relative solitude. With her miasma fully removed with the help of Pixie and Sunny, she was even able to start making a few close friends.
  Things grew slightly awkward between Leo and Valky when Sunny's likeability grew to be maxed out and her behaviour gradually changed to show it. When finally confessed to about it, Leo was surprisingly ok with the idea of sharing Valky, but she demanded increased petting from both of them in exchange. Valky was sceptical at first but agreed to give it a try if Leo was truly ok with it. Sunny's smile lit up the room at the news (both figuratively and literally).
  The last year of their stay passed swiftly and soon it was time for them to move on. The team of five quietly left this world, taking the floating island, and those willing valkyries, with them.
