  1. Once this place had been a flourishing city. One of the most wealthy, and a exemplar of dwarven and human unity. That changed a decade ago. The Kingdom of Many Arrows laid waste to the surface city, conquering it and hollowing out the city above ground while the rest of the human nations did nothing. They slaughtered all on the surface leaving only the dwarves hunkered underground. The dwarves did not forget this, and have abandoned most of the ruined city above ground, preferring to keep to their own and focus on underground trade with the other dwarven nations. Other than occasional intact buildings which are being used, and the repaired wall around the city, one would think the entire city was abandoned.
  2.
  3. Near the center of the city, laid a temple. Despite it's proximity to The Circle and Master's Hall, The Hall of Everlasting Justice had been left untouched for almost a decade. Only the picked over skeleton of the temple to Torm and Tyr remains. Rubble, broken furniture and a few holy symbols remain in the main hall, and the pillaged remains exist further within.
  4.
  5. And yet... within the hall, before the altars and holy symbols... A fire blazes to life. Not a wild, untamed blaze, but instead a hearth... A forge that existed within that temple has come to life again for the first time in a decade.
  6.
  7. "Ringo wa ukanda osora ni…"
  8.
  9. A voice softly echoes out from the temple, as the familiar sound of hammer on metal mixes into its beat. A figure dressed in a strange outfit spins.
  10.
  11. "Ringo wa okkochita jibeta ni…"
  12.
  13. The Hammer flies through the air, from one hand to the other. It comes down, hitting the hot metal, and is released back into the air.
  14.
  15. "Hoshi ga umarete uta ga umarete..."
  16.
  17. She twists and pirouettes, catching the hammer and bringing it down again and again.
  18.
  19. "Ruru ameru wa waratta tokoshie to..."
  20.
  21. It rises into the air with another spin and is caught in the orange and black striped tail,
  22.
  23. "Hoshi ga kisu shite uta ga nemutte..."
  24.
  25. And with a twist, spins up her body as she twists, reaching all the way to her hand, which comes down in another flurry of percise strikes.
  26.
  27. "Kaeru toko wa doko deshō…?"
  28.
  29. Again and again the blows come down, the heated metal almost an instument in tune with the song.
  30.
  31. "Kaeru toko wa doko deshō…?"
  32.
  33. The sight and song has long since drawn attention of the guards. None of them are sure when the Paladin arrived in the City, but even now they can't help but watch rather than confront the woman.
  34.
  35. "Ringo wa okkochita jibeta ni… Ringo wa ukanda osora ni…"
  36.
  37. With the final line the song comes to a end, she goes finshes one final spin and gently places the hammer on the ground, dropping into a seated posistion, looking over her work.a
