- **Your Country**
- Short intro here: E.g. I’m a Swedish sport shooter and also have a hunter’s exam. I’ve been shooting since 2014, and I’m at the range about 1-2 times per week. I’m in 4 different clubs, been secretary of the board in one of them and I’m currently involved with the board in another.
- **Do you need to justify why you want to own a gun?**
- * E.g. No.

- **Is there a background check requirement?**
- * E.g. When applying for the license the police will make a background check on you.
- **Do you have to get your mental health/health checked?**
- * I.e. See a mental health practicioner/general practicioner etc. Only if you’re younger than 25 like in Germany.
- **Do you have any storage requirements?**
- * E.g. Yes, you have to make sure no one else has access to your firearms. If you live alone, by court precedent that means it’s enough if your front door is locked.
- **Will the police make home visits to you before/after you get your guns?**
- * E.g. They don’t visit you when you get your licenses. They can request to visit you at any time (3 days notice at least) after that, but it’s rare that they do so.
- **Do you have any Mag. capacity limits?**
- * Per EU, 10 for rifles, 20 for handguns, but if you do IPSC you can have any size you want.
- **Are you allowed to own semi-automatic firearms?**
- * E.g. Yes, but only in caliber .22lr and shotguns.
- **Can you own handguns?**
- * E.g. Yes, anything that can be justified by a sporting discipline, e.g. a .357 Magnum revolver or a 9mm Glock is fine, while a .600 S&W revolver is not. You can get single shot revolvers for hunting but it’s hard.
- **If yes, how hard is it to get a handgun?**
- * E.g. Not super hard but not easy. Be active in a shooting club that shoots handguns for half a year (for .22lr) to a year (for anything bigger). Shoot at a certain proficiency level. The club will write an endorsement to the police for every handgun stating that you’re proficient and active enough.
- **Can you own shotguns?**
- * E.g. Yes, both for hunting and for sport.
- **If yes, how hard is it to get a shotgun?**
- * E.g. Fairly easy. Have a hunter’s exam, or be an active member of a shooting club. After 6 months the club will write an endorsement.

- **Can you own something like an AR-15?**
- * E.g. Yes, for sport. It’s slightly harder than a bolt action rifle.
- **Can you own suppressors?**
- * E.g. Yes, for hunting only, and only on the two largest caliber types (we call them class 1 which is something like .308w and class 2 which is something like .223rem).
- **If yes, how hard is it to get a suppressor?**
- * Pretty easy. You show a license then you can just buy any suppressor you want that fits that gun.
- **Can you own a full auto firearm?**
- * E.g. Yes, for sport or collecting.

- * E.g. Yes, we have “shall issue” concealed carry, that you can get with a fairly easy test.
- **Can you sell firearms in a private sale?**
- * E.g. Yes, but the buyer needs to have a purchasing permit for that model of gun or gotten the license for that particular gun from the police already, and they send you a copy that the buyer has it. You can then transfer the firearm any way you like.
- **Can you buy guns on the internet?**
- * E.g. Yes, you either provide a purchasing permit or get a serial from the store and use it to apply for a license. When you have the license the store will ship the firearm to you.
- **Can you buy a firearm at a mall in your country?**
- * E.g. Yes, the large sport chain XXL sells firearms and they’re often located in malls.

- **What’s the biggest differences now when the EU Firearms Directive is implemented than before?**
- * E.g. we had harsher restrictions before, so generally it’s easier (looking at you, Italy). Preferably more detailed than that.
- **Do you have an example of what firearms a gun store sells?**
- * E.g. https://imgur.com/a/xuMP0
- * A couple of links to various stores would be nice.
- **Do you have an example of shooting sports?**
- * E.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JQ-H_IKzec&t=1s
