This circlet’s simplistic form would belie its intricate craftsmanship at first glance. The band is made of a lustrous platinum, no wider than a fingertip, split by a streak of material removed along the middle length. Starting at the wearers temple, the two bands are pinched and twisted about each other, the metal manipulated into braid from which seem to spring into a multitude of thinner bands, weaving and twisting like a plait of hair. At the forehead, the circlet dips into a rounded V, the center of which is beset by a splendid moonstone, its opaque luster glimmering with an undeniable power.
