I've almost learned SMRPG - plan as of today is to do my first run on Friday!

I've got quite a bit more I'd like to practice before then. Movement in the end game, as well as all of the stars. Wiggler jumps. Super Jumps (ofc), and menu practice through the end game. It's also been awhile since I've run the start of the game, so there's that. And I've never put any work at all into Yarid/Belome 2, so that should be interesting. But I think I can do a lot of that stuff this week, and then I think I'm on track to have a sub-4 first run!

This month I will also be starting to learn Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster Busts Loose! Namux made a tutorial, so I'll be checking that out. Goal there is top-5 (sub-24, basically), so I can feel qualified to sit on Nam's couch for SGDQ. Or I'll just decide it's impossible and quit.

I'm also still in the DKC any-all tournament - at least until Sunday (when my match with Parisianplayer is scheduled). Basically, winner of that goes on to the single-elim brackets. I'll be doing some practice on Saturday to get ready - my PB is still pretty far behind what it should be for my skill level - but I don't know that I care enough about it right now to put in the work to grind it down.

Longer term, I'd like to keep running SMRPG through the summer at least. I'm tempted to make the goal sub-3, but until I get a few runs in and see how it feels, where the time saves are, and what the work will be, I can't commit to that. I'm leaning towards "SMRPG Fridays" or something like that.

Otherwise... I don't know! I may finally decide to learn Banjo-Kazooie 100% for the next 12-hour challenge - but since I ended up learning SMRPG as a ~3hr game, it's possible that might have replaced BK for the year. (I've also considered LTTP NMG for a 12-hour.... stop me?) I'm still interested in all the NES Mega Man games, and could decide to put more dedicated time into each of those.

Or I may get that Donkey itch again - I have a lot of improvement I could do on DKC3, sub-50 is definitely do-able for me in 101%, I still haven't done a run with the Krackhead WW in DKC2, and the temptation to go for sub-1:30 in 102% is ever present... but as for now, I'm kind of Donkey'd out.

Also I really want to play Snoopy's Grand Adventure more. There's some possible glitches in there, and I could definitely optimize the game better. Maybe I'll do that in June and throw it out as an AGDQ submission again. I'm probably at a point where my best chances with Donkey for those events are behind me.

Who knows! Lot of possibilities ahead of me - we'll see what it turns into!
