Kites [Anon x Glimmer]

> “Hmm hm hmm hm hmmm~”
> You look down at the bright and cheerful mare next to you.
> A happy smile is plastered all over her cute little face.
> There’s an obvious and childish skip in her step.
> She was excited, you could tell.
> The way she was right now, she almost seemed like a filly heading out on an adventure.
> This brings a smile to your face.
> You were excited too.
> A relaxing day of kite flying with Starlight.
> What more could you wish for?
> The summer sun was warm, the sky clear and the company beautiful.
> Glimmer hums a little tune as the two of you walk through the park.
> It doesn’t take long before the two of you find an area to fly your kites.
> Her eyes twinkle as she spies the perfect spot.
> You can hear her giggle joyfully as she bolts on over to the empty field and claims it as her own.
> Turning back, she beams and calls out for you to hurry up.
> You smile.
> She really was like a filly at heart.
> She turns away and looks up at the sky.
> Her eyes close as she basks in the gentle warmth of the morning sun.
> You feel your heart race as you watch the mare facing up at the sky.
> Times like these made you feel like you were falling in love with her all over again.
> You pick up your pace and run over to the unicorn mare, your hands carefully hugging the ‘precious cargo’ therein.
> Glimmer hops excitedly in place as you arrive.
> You fumble around as you try untangle the two kites.
> She waits impatiently for you to hand her, her kite.
> You think about teasing her a bit more, but you decided against it.
> By the look of things, she just might explode if you don’t give her what she wants straight away.
> You give her credit though; seeing as how she hasn’t yanked the thing right out of your arms yet.
> Not like you were going to give her the chance to.
> Though, it was cute watching her like this.
> You pass the excited mare her kite.
> A pink box kite levitates in front of Starlight.
> Immediately she sets off running, leaving you standing there alone whilst you unfurl the string to your blue diamond kite.
> By the time you are done, she already has hers high up in the air.
> You begin to run too, slowly pulling the kite higher and higher into the air.
> As you run, you spot Glimmer focusing upon her own kite, smiling happily as she watches it soaring around in the sky.
> Getting your kite to a stable altitude, you make your way back to Starlight.
> She’s humming that tune once more, but this time its sounds much more whimsical and cheery.
> You try humming along with her.
> She just smiles as the two of you stand next to each other, making music and flying your kites together.
> You look up at her pink box kite.
> It’s floating gently in the summer breeze.
> The kite moves as if it is dancing with the wind.
> The spectacle, a testament to the expertise and control that Glimmer has with regards to her hobby.
> You on the other hand are struggling with your own kite, trying your hardest not to crash it into Glimmers or into the ground.
> Things don’t look well for you.
> Just before anything happens, you feel a gentle yet firm tug on you kite string.
> The kite corrects itself and begins to sail smoothly once again.
> Looking over at Starlight, you see her smiling softly as she watches her own kite.
> You bend over and give her an appreciative kiss on the cheek before returning to your own kite.
> The two of you spend the rest of day like that.
> In each other’s company.
> Today was such a perfect day to fly kites.
