  22. Primary Goal: Misaki has a plethora of goals, albeit the most prominent being to "eradicate the world of demons". While this would seem relatively one-dimensional due to her Super High School Level, it's actually more metaphorical than literal. Demons could easily be a representation of the despair that once flowed through Hope's Peak, or perhaps the sin and hatred that lives in everyone on a daily basis.
  23.
  24. Desires: Misaki desperately desires the touch of flesh, such as physical contact. As well as this, she only wishes for physical contact from those who love her ( or, at least, from those she believes love her ), mainly her family. She wishes to have a family, and for them to love her unconditionally.
  25.
  26. Secrets: Misaki has a large secret: She's mentally unstable, to the point where she's delusional. These "demons" that she claimed to be fighting can easily take a physical form, especially if she's sure someone needs to be "purified", with purified meaning murdered. The only instance of this was when she was coping with the rejection of her acceptance into the Togami competition, in which she killed her best friend and hid the body. She's the only one who knows to this day.

  100. - Personality -
  101.
  102. Anima: Misaki is, in her purest form, just a fragile character. She desperately craves to be held and wanted, to be loved by her family for who she is, and to rid herself of the demons that plague her in the form of despair, and she'll do this at whatever cost. When you pull away all of the persona layers, you could find a smiling and cheerful young woman who adores the taste of cherries and vegan foods.
  103.
  104. Persona: To hide the fragile girl on the inside, Misaki wears a mask of hatred and sorrow. She could be classified as a chuunbiyou to a degree, though the term is loosely used in her case. The mask she wears is of someone who despises everything around her and feels as if she'd be better alone, as to not hurt or run anyone off. Again.
  105.
  106. - Biography -
  107.
  108. Being the daughter of the Togami head meant that from birth, Misaki was watched and, when she came of age, the eldest of the scion's children was forced into the traditional competition. However, on the first day of the competition, she was asked to return to her own bedroom, only to find her things packed up, with a letter on her bed, the following written:
  109.
  110. ' To the desk of the young woman formerly known as Togami Misaki,
  111. we do hate to inform you, but if you are reading this letter, it means that
  112. you are being asked to remove yourself and your belongings from the Togami
  113. property; you are being stripped of your name and birthright as the eldest
  114. child of head Togami Byakuya. We are sorry for your loss. Please be nonexistant
  115. in no less than eight hours. '
  116.
  117. Her hair is cut and dyed - her beautiful, blonde hair is cut into an asymmetrical bob and dyed a dark blue / black, and she's stripped of her last name.
  118.
  119. Heartbroken and shattered that the young woman was exiled from her father's life, Misaki attempted to find solace in her mother. However, in this attempt to recieve love and comfort from her mother, she finds that the Detective isn't the most comforting parent. As her attempts of care are made, Kyouko finds herself unable to care for the future demonologist.
  120.
  121. At the age of fourteen, the young woman finds herself in the library of the famed academy which the said violet-haired woman works ( and the safest place in the post-despair world ), she finds the record of a familiar name: A man named Jin, who shares the same last name as her mother - Kirigiri. The deceased headmaster of this academy, Misaki's grandfather, and a young man of a Super High School Level as well (Super High School Level Headmaster). In honor of the dark-haired man, she takes HIS last name to replace that of her father's.
  122.
  123. Kirigiri Misaki, descendant of Kirigiri Jin, first of her name, Super High School Level Demonologist.
  124.
  125. As she pulls away from her mother, Misaki finds herself needing -- not wanting, needing -- a new channel for her emotion. So, she turns to a new outlet - her religion. A devout follower of an unspecified religion, Misaki becomes a zealot of sorts, praying multiple times daily and locking herself away to read her scriptures. These are the first signs of her delusions, and soon, one of her prominent character traits are shown: her belief in angels and demons.
  126.
  127. Finding that a certain group of people resemble demons - those who Misaki says 'personify sin' -, she finds that they need to be eradicated from the world. Taking upon a false "Joan of Arc" mentality, Misaki shifts her study: her scriptures and texts are replaced with leads on demons, sightings of paranormal encounters, etc. Her trackings lead her to one place: the place she really didn't care for due to the ties to both of her parents --
  128.
  129. Hope's Peak Academy.
