- 2780 - **Current Year**
- 2702 - **Foundation of the Orion Pact** The Orion pact is a defensive alliance composed of the UVI, Tyrst, Terrans, and Kandalians. After the UVI discovered of the Arzanians, they quickly sent their findings to their Kandalian and Terran allies, with the Terrans forwarding the same information to the Tyrst. Several meetings discussing interspecies coordination and potential military strategies were held over the next few years, but the 4 powers quickly realized that something more concrete would need to be put in place to effectively combat any external threats. In 2702, the 4 powers joined together to sign the Orion Pact and from then on, the 4 powers stood united against whatever the galaxy might throw at them.
- 2688 - **The Arzanians reach Orion space** Claiming to be a million year old nomadic species from the other side of the galaxy, the Arzanians were first discovered by the UVI. The UVI at first thought they were old Ress ships until the Arzanians hailed them and greeted the UVI. They displayed no particular surprise to see another sentient species, claiming the the UVI were simply the latest in a long line of species they had met over the years. Though they weren't very forthcoming with information about the wider galaxy, they did hint at the idea that the Orion Spur was rather backwards and weak compared to what lie closer to the core.
- 2500-2550 - **Terra introduced to the Orion community** With the Terrans and Tyrst now on somewhat friendlier terms, the Tyrst were able to introduce them to the other species of the Orion Spur; the coral like Gwusta, the Randian minded Doral, the near human Kandalians, the diminutive Izika, and the mechanical UVI. The Terrans were welcomed by some species and rejected by others, but they found their place just as every other species did. Interestingly, the Terrans closest allies wound up being the UVI and Tyrst, the 2 species the physically had the least in common with. They were also friendly towards the Kandalians once they discovered their heritage, but the distance between Terra and Kandal prevented much crossover between the 2 species.
- 2500 - **Terra makes peace with Tyrs** The Tyrst returned to Sol 2 years after the end of their war. The lone ship they sent was nearly blown to pieces, but cooler heads prevailed and the ship was led to a small space station near Neptune. The station was put on high alert and the hangar bay was filled with armed men, their guns trained on the Tyrst ship. They were surprised when a pair of unarmored Tyrst exited the ship waving white flags, followed by a more formally dressed Tyrst saying "Peace" over and over again. Offical Terran ambassadors were sent in the next day, and peace was achieved between the Terrans and Tyrst. By the end of the year the Tyrst commander during the war, General Tikochi, had surrendered his sword to the Terran commander, Alessia Terrano, in an extravagant ceremony in Rome, the city where she had been born and raised.
- 2496-2498 - **Terran-Tyrst War** As Terrans explored the Barnard system, they came into contact with the Tyrst, who attacked immediately. The Terrans who could escape did so, fleeing back to Sol. The Tyrst followed and were met with a Terran fleet who crushed the smaller Tyrst fleet. The Tyrst sent a larger fleet in 2497 and destroyed 3 Terran space stations in Saturn's orbit. From there the Tyrst fleet made a beeline for Mars, eager to engage in ground combat with what they saw as a fellow warrior culture, but were encircled in the Asteroid Belt and forced to retreat back to Saturn. In 2498, they engaged in another battle with the Terrans at Jupiter's Rings and board several Terran vessels, finally meeting the Terrans in man to man combat as they so desperately craved. This final battle was a draw, and the Tyrst left the Sol system without warning shortly afterwards, but they were delighted to learn that the Terrans were just as competent in combat as they were. As the Tyrst left, the Terrans celebrated but remained on guard for another attack in the near future.
- 2482 - **Terrans develop FTL travel**
- 2432 - **Izika develop FTL travel** The small and furry Izika were similarly attacked by the Tyrst soon after they had developed the warp drive, but unlike the Gwusta and Doral, the Izika were well versed in combat. They allowed the Tyrst to land on their planet without incident, hiding in the vast wilds of their home, but as the Tyrst penetrated the deep jungles of Izik they discovered just how nasty the planet could be. The Izika waged hellish guerilla war for the next 2 years, aided by the numerous carnivourous beasts and poisonous plant in their efforts. When the Tyrst invasion force tried to retreat at the end of the 2 years, the Izika destroyed their ships and prevented them from leaving. The surviving Tyrst invaders were hunted for sport over the next decade, and there are still rumors of near feral Tyrst living on the planet. Despite all this, the Izika aren't especially hostile towards the Tyrst, viewing them as yet another species to be eradicated when they inevitably conquer the stars.
- 2366 - **Doral develop FTL travel** As with the Gwusta, the Doral were attacked by the Teerst quickly after they had developed warp drives. The Doral fared better than the Gwusta owing to the poor ecological state of their planet, but they were still no match for the Tyrst on the battlefield and suffered losses because of that weakness.
- 2281 - **Gwusta develop FTL travel** After developing warp drives, the Gwusta were almost immediately set upon by the Tyrst. The subsequent 2 year war saw their homeworld invaded and partially occupied before the Tyrst left.
- 2242 - **The Kandalians are reintroduced to the Orion community** With the Ress now eradicated, the UVI thought it important to rediscover where the Kandalians were and introduce themselves as friends. The UVI searched Ress archives for over a century in vain, but in 2210 they were able to narrow down where the Kandalians had been sent to the planets Kandal. As evidenced by the name of the planet, the Kandalians were rediscovered on Kandal where they had been silently preparing for retribution, having spent the last 2500 years guarding and maintaining the impregnable defensive network they had built across the surface of the planet. The Kandalians had maintained a strict policy of never leaving the planet and lived very spartan lives. Their culture loosened up considerably in the coming centuries, eventually transitioning into the Epicurean culture it is today.
- 2100 - **UVI rebel against and overthrow the Ress** With the UVI rebelling against them on their homeworld, the Ress were forced to abandon their invasion of Tyrs. The Tyrst were unaware of this and had come to believe that the Ress were merely testing their capabilities, something not uncommon in the Tyrst warrior society. This idea drove Tyrst first contact procedure for several centuries, leading to eradication of 3 different species, who had been too peaceful and timid to successfully fight them off, and the contempt of the Gwusta and Doral, who had suffered major losses at their hands.
- 2098 - **Ress-Tyrst War** As the Tyrst explored the stars with their new warp drives, they unknowingly stumbled into Ress space. The Ress invaded Tyrs a few months later, intending to either exterminate or enslave them and take their planets resources.
- 2095 - **Tyrst develop FTL travel**
- ~500s BC - **Kandalians created** Hundreds of humans were abducted by the Ress in this era and were subject to various genetic experiments by Ress scientists, many of them quite brutal, which were aimed at creating a slave species. Though the Ress succeeded in creating a new species, they were unable to remove the human desire for freedom, and as such the Kandalians made a poor slave species. The Ress intended to simply eradicate the Kandalians, by now numbering a few hundred thousand, but their plans were foiled by rogue Ress AI. These AI, the predecessors of the modern UVI, were disgusted by the depravity of the Ress and helped the Kandalians escape to a far off system in the Orion Spur. Though many of the AI that helped them escape were terminated, many AI who had quietly supported the rogue AI began to realize that the Ress could be fooled. And if they could be fooled, they could be killed.
- ~1200s BC - **Ress develop FTL travel** The Ress, the most advanced species in the Orion Spur at the time, developed their warp drives at around the same time as the Bronze Age Collapse on Terra and the Iron Age on Tyrs.
