- (Sorin only, please. This takes place after the scrapbook "Anthem of the Dead" for Isaac, and before "Criminal Elements".)
- A corner of the Flower Glade
- Sweaty hands rammed the spade into the ground beside the rectangular hole in the ground. Six feet deep, about eight feet tall and four feet wide. Good enough, he imagined. If not, he could fix it.
- He didn't have a lot of money, as he knew. What he had he spent on healing equipment or perhaps some for rent (again he thought about getting an actual house somewhere to avoid the payments -- later, not now). However, this time was different. He'd bought a spade for an occasion like this, and this newly appearing world looked like a good place to bury her as any. He would have picked Neverland, but after her last time there, he doubted her corpse would be welcome.
- Ah, right, the corpse. He had what was left of her in a metal casket with a softer cloth in-lining. He'd work extra hard to get what he could for his own expenses, but she deserved better than just rotting away from worms boring through wood.
- Isaac Zivaku grunted slightly as he picked up the casket, dragging it a bit before hefting it up with both arms, the strain almost making him fall in with it... no, he'd let her help. He lowered the coffin to the ground again, taking a deep breath as he sat between the box and the spade.
- He just hoped Yuki Masami would get the message and help. After Helen had flown the coop, they were all that was left of the Pack. If she wanted to name herself the Alpha instead of the Beta and him her new Beta, that was on her, but it was entirely up to her. He wasn't doing this for himself.
- In spite of her insanity, he did believe Abigail Wallace deserved as proper a burial as he could make.
