The Temple of Krosp

In a city like Vaya Coere, a rodent problem should be a given - but thanks to the Cat Temple, hasn't been for the past forty years. High Priestess Agatha leads the temple, accepting donations and prayers from the local citizens. In return, Krosp, Emperor of Cats, sends the temple's cats and the strays of the town to take care of rodent problems.

Unbeknownst to outsiders, Agatha is in fact a cat-totem Lunar, and her many children populate the streets unnoticed. Krosp is a loyal agent of Luna, working closely with her chosen for the past century. Recently, a tribe 'blessed' by Krosp - beastmen and godblooded - has been revealed, resulting in an influx of catpeople in the temple, without triggering the ire and suspicion of the townspeople.

Agatha and Krosp present potential allies to the group. Plot-hook wise, Loquacious once found an unconscious temple cat and operated on it, saving its life, and earning herself a plaque in the temple as thanks. This cat could have been Agatha in cat form, allowing an alliance once Loq's presence in town is known.
