Starry Eye Scales
In the prehistoric world, there were many species. Many, many types of dinosaurs roamed the Earth over many eras. Tyrannosaurus, pterodactyl. But one particularly deadly beast
was the noble Velociraptor. An almost birdlike type, small and running in packs. Dinosaurs, like us humans, felt love. Many kinds of love. Including same sex love.
Two such velociraptors felt that love, for each other.

Chapter I
	"I hope you can keep up, Jake!" The two boys were in a run, through the mighty forest that comprised most of the world. Jake's red and Ray's white feathers streamlined, easily cutting through the breeze. Claws quickly digging in and out of the moist dirt, bodies jumping over fallen logs and outreaching branches.
"Ray.. Ray, I think we should stop.." Jake was pleading to stop, out of energy to continue running. The two boys, Raymond and Jacob were heading to Mount Skullfuck on a religious pilgrimage. Neither of them would admit to each other how they felt, but actions speak louder than words.
	"Fine." They both stopped in a forest clearing to catch their breath, Jake's thin frame slumping down into the dirt. "Sorry.." Jake was a whole two years younger, the two boys respectively 6 and 8. A great age, about a human 18 for a velociraptor. "It's fine Jake. We'll make it there soon." He sat up, staring up at Raymond, eyes green and shiny. Raymond's yellowed eyes reflected in them, a certain twinkle in both of theirs. "You do look tired there, friend." Raymond came down to his level, laying next to him in the moist soil.
"Yeah. Is it alright if we stop here for the night?" The larger ivory reptile sighed, nodding. "Yes, we can stay for the night."
Jake got himself up, following Raymond away from this clearing, into a little hollow beneath a tree.
Later into the night, Jake woke up, hearing a sauropod's call in the distance. Strange. There were arms, hands around him. Jake was relieved that it was only Ray, but was confused. "Go back to sleep, Jakey." Tired and a bit disoriented, Jake followed his command, snuggling in deeper to the other creature.
