  14. Greetings --
  15.
  16. Having good, strong passwords will go along way in protecting your personal accounts but you need to apply more than just Rule #1 - Never use the same password for accounts. You need to have an understanding of just what makes a password hard to crack in order to generate your own.
  17.
  18. Below are some articles that should help you in securing your personal accounts and a few tools to help you generate strong passwords. Also included are some password management info as keeping track of all your accounts can be tricky and you'd hate to lose an account due to forgetting the password.

  20.
  21. Security is not always fun or easy but neither is trying to recover hijacked accounts - a bit of effort will go a long away here.
  22.
  23.
  24. Remember the more you know the better you can protect yourself and tailor your set-up to best preserve and maintain your privacy and security.  The playing field is dynamic, hackers and the gov are always working on new ways to get at your data etc - keep vigilante. Additionally, no one link or article is going to solve your security and/or privacy needs.   And there is no protection against stupid - exercise common-sense, let this information guide you in choosing what is best for you. :=]
