He's a wanderer from outside Equestria after civil war tore his original homeland in half. As a soldier he served for the scouts who would traverse terrain and do recon for the infantry. He was charged with treason for falling in love with an enemy village girl and she turned on him leaving him with a scar but he eventually ran away when he found out he was to be executed. He seems to bury his memories and only looks forward, grounding him in the present. Now he wanders looking for something but that something is unclear even to himself.
