After months of fighting, a multinational military force of the Allied Nations has managed to enter the city. The AN is fighting against the armed forces of drug-lord turned the evil warlord General M. Bison, who has recently captured a couple of dozen AN workers. Bison makes his demands in a live two-way TV broadcast with William F. Guile, the commander of the AN forces. If he is not paid $20 billion in three days he will kill the hostages! And so Guile and M. Bison will be facing off in the ultimate final showdown!
The evil warlord General M. Bison and his troops have kidnapped Allied Nations relief workers along with three U.N soldiers that were assigned to protect them. M. Bison demands that the United Nations pay him ransom money in exchange for the hostages, where M. Bison has given the United Nations 3 days and he threatens to kill the hostages if the United Nations fails to pay the ransom. Learning his best friend, Carlos &quot;Charlie&quot; Blanka is one of the hostages, U.N military commanding officer Colonel William F. Guile leads his army of troops against M. Bison. But Guile isn&#39;t the only man after M. Bison. Guile sends low-life martial artists Ryu and Ken Masters to infiltrate M. Bilson&#39;s one-eyed arms dealer Victor Sagat and his masked Spanish cage fighter Vega and discover the location of M. Bison&#39;s jungle fortress. News journalist Chun-Li Zang and her crew, former boxer Balrog and former sumo-wrestler Edmond Honda are out to settle their scores with M. Bison. M. Bison&#39;s unwilling chief scientist Dr. Dhalsim is transforming Blanka into a genetic mutated super soldier, in M. Bison&#39;s goal for world domination. Joined by martial artists and fighters from around the world, Guile and his troops engage in combat as they set out to defeat the evil warlord and rescue the hostages from his jungle fortress, before the 72 hours up, as Guile and M. Bison faces off in the ultimate showdown.
Here&#39;s the thing: videogames are NOT movie material. Period. In videogames, the story serves just one goal: to lead us into the game. The characters are NOT developed on purpose, the idea is the player fills the blank spots with his imagination... and I just can&#39;t figure out who thought anyone was filling &quot;Colonel Guile&#39;s&quot; space with a Belgian dude.<br/><br/>Seriously, this movie is just boring garbage. Its more shameful flaw is that it&#39;s the last Raul Julia movie: he was in some stupid movies before (such as &quot;Overdrawn at the Memory Bank&quot;), but, he was a great actor, and he should have been redeemed after this garbage... but life is cruel sometimes.<br/><br/>There is really not much to say about this movie: boring characters, boring story, laughable performances, strange plot-devices (Dr. Dhalsim?). It&#39;s one of the prime examples of why movies based on videogames suck.<br/><br/>2/10
Like the awful Sonic the Hedgehog cartoons, this is a complete waste of time in which the producers think fans of the games will watch it no matter how dire it is.  The characters are all just cardboard cut-outs, most of them looking nothing like the video game versions.  Non-stop action might be fine and dandy in video games but it just becomes tedious here in a film which will only appeal to violence-crazed, undemanding kids.  Raul Julia appears as M Bison but is completely wasted.  This was his last film and you can&#39;t help feeling he deserved a better swansong than this twaddle.<br/><br/>Even if you&#39;re a fan of the games then this film isn&#39;t worth the money.

Due to the low rating the British BBFC 12 Version was censored in several action scenes: the breaking of bones is missing and some fighting moves as well. In a fight with a guard, bags of liquid marked &quot;DNA mutagens use extreme caution&quot; are accidentally spilled on him.  a5c7b9f00b
